INTRO:
Few days ago I watched "video reactions" for DS trailers. Just for fun. And I noticed one common thing:
- Norman Reedus appears: "Oh this is "The Walking Dead" dude!"
- Gullermo del Toro appears: ok, this is del Toro, director not even mentioned in titles
- Mads Mikkelsen appears: "Oh this is Hannibal!"
- I'm not sure about Lea Seydoux...
- Lindsay Wagner appears: "Hmmm... Who is she?"
I didn't know who she is. I'm pretty sure like many of us didn't. We didn't see movies starring young Lindsay Wagner.
"You're too late..." Yes we were late. We didn't see this films. We didn't see Reedus and Wagner in one scene. In one frame. She talked with Us. I believe in that.
But who are this people? They are Actors. Remeber it please.
NECKLACE:
What's the common thing in DS "Purgatory"? I'm pretty sure that Underwater and Beach are the same place just with creatures and people stranded on this beach. Everything is "black/gray colored" (baby-doll, dreamcatcher (gold center piece in "real" world), Wagner's dress). Only Human and his Necklace not colored in shades of black or gray. Human and Necklace.
Wagner's necklace mirrored - this is main thing. Not a cypher. Decryption of Norman's necklace made no sense. Seriously... "black holes and etc."... we're still have no idea how to connect this "knowledge". The main thing is "mirrored Wagner's necklace".
An object or a system is chiral if it is distinguishable from its mirror image. But only this object is chiral. It's not about image. Or maybe this is important?
Wagner talked with Us. We asked her "Who are you?" through Sam's mouth/throat. "They will be you"...
Is she our image/reflection? Us, real people. Like Sam.
WORD:
I mentioned Vocal CORD Parasites in previous article. Larvae which Sam spitting out. Instead of Lea Seydoux, but I will back to it later.

Venom Snake as "A little horn" Antichrist from the Book of Daniel.
World without a Word. With new common language - Nukes. "The will link lost hands".
Psalm 5:9 "For there is no faithfulness in their mouth. Their heart is destruction. Their throat is an open tomb. They flatter with their tongue." Tunnel from 2nd trailer as a Symbol of "throat" full of "parasites"?
MYTHS:
We creating new myths. ComicBooks/Movies/Literature/VideoGames.
Guillermo del Toro: "Monsters are Living, Breathing Metaphors." We create mythology.

As for me - the main common thing in DS trailers is Monsters who Eats People. TMITGM mentioed this literally in last trailer.
Who is this kind of Monster from del Toro's point of view? Movies point of view - Hannibal. This is a modern myth. One of many others.
Remember my INTRO and Viewers reactions?
Mads Mikkelsen (Hannibal) figure from little tiny baby-doll point of view is Giant Figure from Sam's point of view.
What about Norman Reedus? "The walking dead" dude? Well, we've seen literally "walking dude". And we not even sure if he is alive or something. Another modern myth. One of many others.
But what's the most important thing in my opinion. When you read Bible or Testaments - what the common thing?
EXAGGERATION:
How will you describe this "Monsters" from DS trailers? For example this Giant from 3rd trailer.
"A Giant Human Figure with no Head but Golden Hands, with no Fingers, but Gigantic Ropes for controlling Them..." and etc. Sounds familiar?
BIBLE:
I mentioned in previous threads strong Biblical motifs in DS. Like in previous Kojima's games. Letters from 2nd trailer (clear ones) appears as K, J, V. KJV - King James Version.
Virgin Mary, Mother of God. God in Sam's throat as a symbol of "The Word of God". Is Sam a prophet? I'm not sure now and I will explain my point a bit later.
I think that there are many Biblical references. For example 4th trailer I see as Temptation of Christ:
"Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights in the Judaean Desert. During this time, Satan appeared to Jesus and tried to tempt him. Jesus having refused each general (non-sexual) temptation, Satan then departed and Jesus returned to Galilee to begin his ministry."
Mark does not provide details, but in Matthew and Luke "the tempter" (Greek: ὁ πειραζων, ho peirazōn) or "the devil" (Greek: ὁ διαβολος, ho diabolos) tempts Jesus to:
- Make bread out of stones to relieve his own hunger. (We've seen Sam drinking water, but not eating food).
- Jump from a pinnacle and rely on angels to break his fall. “He will command his angels concerning you,
and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.” (Toenail ripping off scene). - Worship Satan in return for all the kingdoms of the world. ("Want to come work for me?").
These are the same three temptations one renounces at baptism: the World, the Flesh and the Devil.
Sam spitting out larvae. Vocal CORD Parasites or just a symbol "wrong" words? To speak Word of God (baby in throat)? I'm pretty sure that Devil will eat them instead.
*PURE SPECULATION OF COURSE*
But I mentioned one detail before which keeps me from idea that Sam if reference of some Prophet (Samuel for example): Spider and Spider web.
ACTORS/HYPOCRITES:
Hypocrisy is the contrivance of a false appearance of virtue or goodness, while concealing real character or inclinations, especially with respect to religious and moral beliefs.
The word hypocrisy comes from the Greek ὑπόκρισις (hypokrisis), which means "jealous", "play-acting", "acting out", "coward" or "dissembling".
Actors.
"The trust of the hypocrite is compared to the Spider's Web or House ( Job 8:14 ). It is said of the wicked by Isaiah that they "weave the spider's web" ( 59:5 ), i.e., their works and designs are, like the spider's web, vain and useless. The Hebrew word here used is 'akkabish , "a swift weaver".
What is the symbol of Actors? Mask. Golden Mask in different countires is a Theater Award:
- Golden Mask (Russian award), a Russian theatre festival and award
- Guldmasken (in English: The Golden Mask), a Swedish theatre award
- Masque d’Or, a French prize for amateur productions awarded every four years by the Fédération Nationale des Compagnies de Théâtre amateur et d’Animation
- Złota Maska (pl), a Polish theatre award
I'm not sure about TMITGM. He creates those creatures. Is he reference for Guillermo del Toro from 2nd trailer? Creator. I speculated about similarities in trailers earlier:

Actors and Directors just a People. But different. TMITGM looks like a Sam (main thing is BabyPod). But different. Symbol of different religion, different myths? I don't know.
But there is one question:
Should we trust them?
PAK/KOJIMA:
What was before Death Stranding reveal? P.T./Silent Hills. But what was Silent Hills for Us? Just 3 names. "A Hideo Kojima Game", "Norman Reedus" and "Guillermo del Toro" (not even mentioned as Author, Producer, Co-Producer or whatever, just like an actor). Then there was pictures of Iceland with black beach. And we get "black beach". We get "Norman Reedus". Then we get "Guillermo del Toro".
Kojima "fed us" with pictures: Silent Hills trailer, Iceland, black beaches, movie Posters, and a lot of food... We get other movie Actors. We just consume this.
What Pak did with Archillect? He "fed Her" with DS related pictures. But what for? For creating Her vision of World.
Same for Venom Snake from MGS V: TPP. PTSD theory...
Did we just "create" our own game? Like in a dream?
Should we Wake Up?
