Feeling down and scared-UNR
So I've started watching TWD like 3-4 weeks ago. Today I got to episode 14 on season 9 I am feeling really down and just depressed. i am only fine when I watch it, Its just that feeling that I know I will never meet Norman Reedus or Andrew Lincoln I'm 13 and I have never expected something like this to happen I know the show will end but I do not want to stop watching now, i just love the actors and the movie

Back in March, an image of Death Stranding creator Hideo Kojima doing some voice recording "for the other Sam" made the rounds on Twitter. Sam is the name of Norman Reedus' character in Death Stranding, but who was the other Sam?Turns out it's Sam Lake, the creative director at Remedy, and his performance was for a weird little Easter egg in Control. As you can see in the video up above, it is very Kojima.The video begins with Control lead character Jesse Faden entering a "guided imagery experience" narrated by a Japanese scientist and a translator. The experience itself is incomprehensible, as it should be. There are trees, but they are lonely—they deserve love too. After helping guide them on their path, you sense a disturbance. Forklifts! Forklifts do not like the romance of the trees. Or seagulls. The potato chips were for his pregnant wife! Now they're messing up the beach. The forklifts must be stopped! The beach is no place for forklifts or lonely trees.It might be a metaphor. It's definitely weird.Control is out now on the Epic Games Store, and is excellent. Death Stranding still hasn't been announced for PC, but you can watch Norman Reedus peeing and then falling off a cliff onto a baby if you want.

My disease theory-UNR
Do you guys have any views on the cause/reasons for the fragmented society?
My earlier theory was simple: the US government used cable, messed up, the explosion led to an apocalypse and society became divided. However, this really doesn't explain the division, does it? I can totally empathize with people forming groups of trust, or preferring to stay alone but I think a fragmented society seems a bit more dramatic.
I'm starting to wonder whether the presence of the BTs causes some kind of disease, which leads to this god awful blue skin condition.
Remember what Higgs said:
'Oh it's so hard to form connections when you can't shake hands.'
When I first heard that, it just struck me as an odd expression. It sounds quite literal as opposed to a metaphor. Is it just a figure of speech? To me it sounds like an actual physical limitation.
Also, isn't Amelie behind a glass door at the end of the Release Date trailer? Obviously the camera angle isn't ideal but it looks a lot like she's in some kind of disease control unit, or something similar. What other reason would there be for her to be behind glass?
Apparently Norman Reedus said on Twitter (I still haven't found that exact Tweet) that Sam has a fear of being touched.
I think a disease may also explain the blue skin condition and other bizarre side effects of fighting/avoiding the BTs e.g. Sam bruising when the small BT approaches him and Fragile.
Kojima keeps emphasizing 'giving our hands.' Why? Just to form a bond? Or is there a fear of touching because of a contagious disease?
I think all of the above points to a potentially severe disease. The threat of the BTs must be more then simply being eaten.

SPOILER ALERT for those who haven't seen the filtered video that got leaked a couple days ago.
Characters
Sam (Norman Reedus): He is the protagonist in the story, he seems to have a very strong bound with both Bridget and her cause of connecting all cities of the U.S again. He has been working as a delivery man (whatever that means in Death Stranding) for the U.S in the past. Fragile implies in one of the videos that Sam has DOOM´s, which seems to be some kind of mutations acquired by some people when they died and come back to life. For some reason after Bridget dies, he lost interest in the U.S government and gave up his work. He seems to be in a middle ground when it comes to sympathizing with Amelie and Die Hard Man.
He uses a B.B to sense B.T´s.
B.B (Bridge Baby): These babies help humans to create a connection with "the other side" and so he can feel the B.T's. Sam is able to see the B.T's when he is connected to the baby because the baby is "connected" to the womb of a clinically dead mother which body is maintained and therefore the baby has a connection with both the living and the B.T´s world. Sam has to connect the container where the baby lives from time to time to a machine that simulates this kind of wombs to fulfill its function in the best possible way.
B.T's: They seem to be entities that are neither alive or dead, they seem to have a connection with the world of the living (they can interact with the living). It seems that B.T can be connected through an “umbilical cord” to either, the black figure that appears in the trailers or to living people like Mama.
They can detect humans by sound and breathing. Humans prefer to commit suicide then to be caught by "dark" B.T.s, which implies that these kind of B.T´s are not dead but controlled by others and in a state of suffering.
The BT's can be connected or stranded and those that are connected can be connected to the world of the living (such as the BT that lives with Mama and that is transparent in color) or connected to the dark giant entity with cords that come from his fingers (making B.T´s dark and harmful).
Bridget: It's the name of the president of the United States, mother of Amelie. She died and now Amelie wants to continue her legacy of connecting all the cities of the United States.
Cliff (Mads Mikkelsen): Cliff is part of the "Homo Demens" and is portrayed as the antagonist in Death Stranding. He seems to have the power of connecting to stranded "souls" and control them in any way. From the trailers as the rest of Homo Demens he seems to have a connection or a deal with the "black entities" which allows him to use some powers. In one trailer he takes a cigarette and to light it he just raises his hand and it lights up like if an occult being was taking care of him.
Amelie (Lindsay Wagner): Daughter of the president of the United States (now dead) and the one chosen to continue her mother's mission to connect all the cities of the United States and thus be able to create communication between all the inhabitants. In the past, Amelie has already started a mission in which she traveled west to reconnect cities and people, but she was captured and the team she was going with was razed.
She is not only trying to complete her mother´s mission but also become the new president of the U.S "Samantha America Strand". (kevsmith202)
Die Hard Man (Tommie Earl Jenkins ): He seems to be a supporter of the cause of the former president and now of Amelie and a faithful helper for this cause.
Dead Man (Guillermo del Toro): Dead man remains a very mysterious character, the only thing we know so far is that he and Sam get along and all points in the direction that during the story he will help Sam and the U.C.A since he is part of Bridges.
Mama (Margaret Qualley): We know very little about her, only thing we know is that she is part of BRIDGES and takes care of what she calls her daughter which is a B.T. This B.T is linked to her which makes it not dangerous since it is not a stranded (disconnected) B.T which could lead in to it becoming a dark entity (dangerous).
She is a mechanic for BRIDGES (RamonesRazor).
Heartman (Nicolas Winding): As Deadman and Mama this is a character that remains a mystery for the lack of information. Like them he seems to help BRIDGES and Sam. He is a particular character because he seems to be dead but is able to come back to life for periods of 21 minutes every now and then. He says he is looking for his family in the beach. From his own words in his character trailer presentation “My body is present but my soul is in the beach”.
Fragile (Léa Seydoux): Fragile is a character that similar to the rest of them we have very few info about. From the trailer we can get that she seems to be sympathetic with Sam. She carries an umbrella probably to avoid time fall and eats Cryptobites to "keep the time fall away". She seems to see something of value in Sam since she ask him to work with her. In one trailer she says that like Sam she has Doom´s (Death Obtained Organic Mutations). (Rydael)
Organizations / Communities
U.C.A: It is the name by which Amelie supporters refer to the new government they want to create in the United States (United Cities of America).
Bridges: It is a group of people (Sam, Dead Man, Mama and Heartman for now) who seem to be independent but working for the U.S government for now. Their main objective is to connect the different cities of the U.S and as their logo says create a "Geo Surveillance System" (kevsmith202).
Homo Demens: They are the dark characters who also carry B.B´s (such as Cliff "Mad Mikkelsen") and who form an independence group who do not want to have anything to do with the UCA or with their plans, they have abducted Amelie in Edge Knot City. Die Hard Man defines them as a group of terrorists who go around the cities killing people and leaving craters. They seem to have some friendship or control over the B.T.s. It is said that they do not have any organization among them only a common ideology which is not named.
They seem to have a connection with the other side or kind of a "deal" with the "dark entities" that gives them special abilities like flying or controlling stranded souls for their own purposes.
Locations
Edge Knot City: It seems to be a place of refuge and the symbolic capital for a group of people who do not want to have anything to do with any type of government and are only governed by their own standards. They have Amelie locked up in this city to ensure this independence.
Knot city seems to be divided into different zones since "Knot Central" is named in a video and they refer to this area as a destroyed one and different from Edge Knot City. Also Capital Knot City is named in the Dead Man video, probably different areas of the same city.
Others
Sam's mission (for now): Travel west to reconnect the United States and rescue Amelie from Edge Knot City.
Time Fall: This kind of rain is one of the most characteristic things in the game. This rain has the particularity of speeding up the time of what ever it touches from human skin, plants to what ever has an organic nature. Form what we have seen in the videos Time Fall is an indicative of "dark" B.T´s being in the area. Fragile says that she eats Cryptobites to keep the time fall away, we will have to wait a bit more to give meaning to that sentence.
Craters: Craters are a significant part of the history of Death Stranding, these seem to be created thanks to a technology capable of manipulating the vacuum (vacuum engineering) This technology seems to be the substitute for nuclear bombs since it is talked about in the same terms as today we talk about nuclear bombs in that they are a dangerous weapon because of the immediate and prolonged consequences of using them.
Q-Pid: It is the pendant with mathematical formulas that Sam is wearing around his neck which is given by Die Hard Man since it is necessary to activate the terminals in the different cities that Sam has to visit to connect them again together. Probably the Q-Pid pronunciation sounds intentionally like Cupid since both of them are meant to bring people together.
The beach: Being on the beach or being stranded seems to be the name given to the state of being in limbo or being disconnected from both the world of the dead and the living. What implies that the ocean in Death Stranding is a metaphor for connection and union between people.
I came to this conclusion because Amelie says in a video not to grow old because her body is on the beach and in Mama's video she tells Sam not to fear the BT that is in that room because he is connected to her and not “Stranded” like the rest.

Death Stranding isn't just a PS4 Game. It's a new game where you explore the real world to advance in your game.-UNR
Alright this may sound crazy and even I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around this but hear me out I think I've figured out the main gameplay for Death Stranding.
Kojima has said time and time again that he wants to create a game where players meet each other and "create links, strands if you will between players."
6 Months ago Kojima Productions trademarked the names 'Strand Game' and more importantly 'Social Strand System' for iPhone use.

This implies that there is some kind of companion app to the game but I believe this is a crucial part of the game.
Norman Reedus who plays Sam Porter Bridges (The protagonist for the game) said this in an interview with the BH Photography Podcast " It's so ahead of its time, and there're elements of social media in it, and the idea is that... So many games and so many parts of millennial culture are being alone in a room, and you lose contact, physical contact, with people. This is after that and the re-establishing of that physical contact. It's super, super interesting."
This implies that making connections is a huge part of Death Strandings goal. "People have created walls and have become accustomed to living in isolation," Kojima said.
Forbes who had a hands-on look at the game said that " The thing that really stood out to me was just how simple this game is at its core. Death Stranding is a game about walking."
And that's what I think it is. I think it's a game that bridges the gap between our world and the games. I think our world is the upside-down underwater world that Sam Porter Bridges goes to whenever the BBs kill him you'll need to get back in our world somehow.
Just a couple of days ago Death Stranding was announced to have first-person elements I think those first-person elements are you the player exploring and meeting new people.
I know it's crazy but I think the app has gone ignored when I personally think that Kojima is too smart to create something like that without a reason.

I don't think it will be some kind of AR Pokemon Go type game but I do think that you will be a character in your own story and this app will be a way to meet other people in ways a game never has. "A strand game."
So Death Stranding is a game about meeting people and rebuilding the society which is our world. By rebonding the cities of America in Death Stranding we a simultaneously creating strands with cities in the real world.

I calculated Norman Reedus' urinary flow rate in Death Stranding.-UNR
Today, I calculated Norman Reedus' urinary flow rate from the Death Stranding gameplay trailer.
When he begins to pee he has 247ml of urine in his bladder. 18.6 seconds have passed when he finishes pissing, but the trailer is a 30 FPS video, so converting 18.6 seconds from timecode to seconds gives you 18.551866666666665 seconds. I'm just gonna round it to 18.55 seconds I hope you guys can forgive me.
Because of that, we know that he can expel 247ml of urine in 18.55 seconds, which makes his urinary flow rate 13.31536388140162 ml/second. I'm gonna round that one to 13.3ml/s
Now, if you look into some scientific papers, you can find that the average urinary flow rate for a group of males with a median age of 31 is 13.05 ml/s, with an error rate of about + or - 5 ml/s. This actually means ol' Norman is doing pretty good, considering he has to be in his mid to late 40s in this game based on appearance.
This ALSO means that either someone working on Death Stranding got really lucky predicting how much Norman Reedus should piss, or it was someone's job to look up urinary flow science to make sure this aspect of the game was correct.

Sweet Death Stranding Stuff From QooApp's Coverage of Gamescom-UNR
Sam as Ludens as Us-UNR
I tried to see if this exact theory was posted and couldn't find it, although it's so simple I feel like someone must've thought of it ages ago.
If it wasn't obvious already, the last trailer seems to confirm that Sam is Ludens. Ludens itself has been an anomaly up until now, at least when it comes to its role in the world of DS. We know that the theory behind "Ludens" is that it's a stage of human evolution, the "playing man."
I'm wondering whether Ludens, in the world of DS, isn't just Sam, but an entity comprised of both Sam and the player. It sounds a bit ridiculous, but it explains the "evolved" and otherworldly nature of the Ludens. It's not just a being in a spacesuit, it's a being with multiple physical manifestations in different worlds: us in ours and Sam in the game. It also explains why we aren't playing as Sam but instead ARE Sam, like Norman Reedus has mentioned before, because Sam would be known in his world to be an emissary of something greater than one man. I don't know how that might be defined in the game if it's true, but it would make Sam something more than just a normal person.

Hey Ludens,
A new post has just been made explaining the briefing exclusively shown at Gamescom, no this isn't the character trailers shown nor the gameplay.
"Naturally, I had to check this out - so I high-tailed it over to the PlayStation booth to see if this "BRIEFING" would finally clear a few things up.
It did not.
The fourth Gamescom trailer, called Briefing, delves a little into the player-character Sam Bridges (played by Norman Reedus), and is set in the Oval Office. In the cutscene, Sam meets with masked man Die Hardman (Earl Jenkins) and a convincing hologram of a woman in a red dress named Amelie (Lindsey Wagner). The conversation, as ever, is focused on re-connecting America - and both Amelie and Die Hardman are determined to re-enlist Sam to help out.
Sam and Amelie have history, apparently, as the two haven't seen each other in 10 years: yet Amelie "hasn't aged a day". She explains her "body is still on the beach" and she "doesn't get to grow older". More on that later.
Amelie is the daughter of, possibly, a woman called Samantha "America" Strand, who I assume to be the previous president, and the reconnecting work is about continuing her legacy to "reestablish the UCA, the United Cities of America". It appears Amelie and friends previously got close to achieving this, having connected cities all the way to the Pacific, but got unstuck on one final city: Edge Knot City, where Amelie was captured and is now stuck in the city. She's allowed to Facetime Sam and Die Hardman, though.
The people responsible for the kidnapping are a terrorist organisation called Homo Demens (members, such as the character played by Mads Mikkelsen, wear a skull mask). It controls Edge Knot City and may be a responsible for a previous suicide bombing. Homo Demens is decentralised, but united by an ideology to stop the UCA. It looks like it wants to unite America, but its methods are violence and "shackles". "Nothing's off limits for them, not even void-outs." Okay!
In terms of objectives, Sam is asked to help out remaining UCA forces by connecting several "terminals" before rescuing Amelie from capture. He's given a "Q-Pid" - that metal necklace that looks like a set of USB keys - which allows him to bring the terminals back onto the network. After that, Amelie is supposed to take up the presidency.
Sam's pretty reluctant to help out, however, as he previously chose to leave the project and seems to think the UCA is hypocritical (gesturing at a shackle). Amelie claims he was running away, and that the shackles are actually bonds. I guess he must eventually agree, but it's certainly not in this video, as it ends with Sam leaving the room and ignoring Amelie's pleas.
Oh, at one point Sam adds he's "Sam Porter Bridges now, not a Strand". The plan to reconnect the country was also "Bridges' dying wish". What's going on here?
Well, I hope you got... something... from that. I guess we now know a few of the quest objectives, although I'm still mystified by the babies and demonic spirits. Just another day for Death Stranding!"
Ludens with Sam's appearance and voice.-UNR
What if Sam was the actor who played the role of Ludens for the movie about the journey to the moon and now this character has become the idol of many in this world. This would explain that Norman Reedus' voice greets Sam, maybe he gave a voice for his character's artificial intelligence. Then you do not have to use the theory of clones, which would be a repeat of the idea from the MGS.

Death Stranding looks kinda bad-UNR
Before we start I'd like to clarify that I'm not saying the game is going to be terrible, and I know that we haven't seen much gameplay of the game, but what we have seen looks pretty uninspired. We've seen Norman Reedus awkwardly dodge an attack, punch a few dudes, deliver a package, climb a ladder and urinate. I know that Kojima is weird and he doesn't advertise a game like a normal person, but from what he has shown the game doesn't look good. The game has also had an exceptionally quick development time, so I'm not sure if it has had enough time to actually be made.
Addressing that "Third Voice" in the peeing Gameplay trailer-UNR
After checking out other Norman's work and on interviews like Conan (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4SQfh9lKfc ), it was indeed Norman Reedus's voice. He has kind of a jarring voice in between pitches. Sometimes when he's speaking soft and low, he has a gruff and deepness to it. Sometimes when speaking loudly, the gruffness is gone and sound drastically different. Was quite confused wondering whose voice was that at first.

Met Norman Reedus over the weekend and got this signed!-UNR
Sam seems to be a genuinely nice and polite guy in the recent gameplay. Funny role, for Norman Reedus.-UNR
Any one else think it was interesting seeing Sam (and hearing reedus) saying "Thank you, kindly!" in an upbeat, friendly tone? It's out of Norman Reedus' acting comfort zone and I think that's a good thing to see.
It suits him well.
Sam's wife is mystery noone is talking about. I'm somehow sure that she's the woman from P.T , because there are too many similarities. Who is she? How vital is she for the whole sam's journey and who is playing her? My wild and perfect casting would be Diana Kruger. Real wife of Norman Reedus.-UNR

Really cannot wait for this game-UNR
So I just wanted to say that after seeing yesterday's gamescom footage, despite the plot still being vague, I cannot wait to play Death Stranding. Because, it's basically a "Supernatural Postman Simulator".
I've always been a fan of Kojima, ever since playing MGS1 I have been a fan of him. I was very sad when I learned about the Kojima/Konami Debacle. When I heard of this game, I didn't know what it was about, I sort of have a rough idea even if the plot is vague.
So basically, when I saw yesterday's Demo, I saw Geoff Keighley in the game, voiced by Matthew Mercer. But also Norman Reedus's character dropping off mail, apparently there is a "Likes" system, and you can "Claim Materials". Which is interesting.
I also found out more about the Baby, it is used to detect the Beached Things. And is used as a type of supernatural radar.
I'm also hoping that there are more cameos in the game, Idris Elba I hope is one because he is good friends with Kojima, and David Hayter, hopefully, in his Snake voice. But not as Snake.
Another thing I like about this game, just want to add, is how two of the actors are from the Netflix Show Voltron:Legendary Defender, Norman Reedus plays Rolo and Matthew Mercer plays Hepta.
So I really cannot wait for this game. Just to see what it is like.

Thoughts on Death Stranding?-UNR
New trailers were released for the game, one in particular stands out. In short, I believe this game will have a pro-life message, and Kojima foresees the future we're headed towards in the commodification of human life.
So far all fans know is what we've been shown, and absolutely nobody knows what this game is gonna be about for sure. Sam (Norman Reedus) is a courier of sorts in an alternate United States (United Cities of America).
This world is plagued by strange shadow creatures, an encounter with which apparently results in death, necessitating that Sam carry with him a "Bridge Baby" in an artificial womb (no one actually knows their real function however) along with a device on his back to alert him to their presence.
What blows my mind is the humanization of unborn babies in this game. Sure, Deadman (Guillermo Del Toro) claims they're just equipment, lasting no longer than a year, but hear how distraught Sam when he learns he can't keep his BB alive.
Unborn children are characters, integral to the plot and gameplay of a mainstream title. You see them, you interact with them, and characters express concern and love for them. (As also in the "Mama" trailer). What times we live in.
Let's just hope the game turns out to have such good in it.

When Sam gets to the outpost in the gameplay video he says "How you doin' Sam?". Who is he talking to? Himself? Did he talk to the posters of Ludens? Other players - "Sams"? :)
OR am I missing something and that's not Norman Reedus talking? sounded a lot like him though

My disappointment when I stayed up all night just to see Norman reedus pee on my hopes of an elden ring trailer Ooooh
My favorite parts of the game is actually the voice acting and humor.-UNR
I want a movie with just Bormin and Dux. Oh, and throw Pripp into the mix. Those three crack me up.
And I love the humor that comes with trying to understand the Ancients.
That last level in Seed of Evil was awesome. And the story has definitely got me hooked--I can't wait for the next part!
Also, does anyone else think the voice actor for Bormin sounds like Norman Reedus's Daryl from The Walking Dead?
