So, we are getting a game of thrones scale battle-UNR

https://ift.tt/eA8V8J

According to Norman Reedus, We will be getting a GOT scale battle, for people who’ve watched game of thrones, the battles are the best you can watch on TV, high budget, excellently choreographed, intense and full of emotion.

This really excites me, as battle of hilltop was really good, it’s probably one of the best battles on TWD and it shows promise to what we will get in the finale.

Death Stranding was a dumpster fire-UNR

https://ift.tt/eA8V8J

I'm a fan of Metal Gear, I enjoyed Snake Eater and Sons of Liberty very much. I respected Kojimas work but he lost me with this one. I won't touch the gameplay because that seemed to be the biggest complaint from others but I'll just say it could've been better. Now one of my biggest complaints is how Death Stranding just makes no sense. They try to explain all the lore and story points to you but it just falls flat.

I beat the whole game and still didn't know what The Death Stranding even was. Most characters are just flat and boring, my least favorites being Sam and Diehard Man. Sam was just boring and showed little to no character or emotion. Not only that but I personally thought that Norman Reedus' performance in the game was terrible, it was as if everyone in the game was a good actor except Norman. I was hyped to see Mads Mikkelson in a game because he's one of my favorite actors.

I was disappointed with how his character was utilized, he was used in three god awful third person shooter segments and teases of his character shown but other than that he wasn't very prominent in the story. I was hoping he would end up the main villain but he didn't really do much at all. Another big problem I have with the game was the awful dialogue. Most of the lines were either nonsensical or dumb as hell. The worst ones being, "I'm fragile but I'm not that fragile." Or "So I'm Mario and your Princess Peach?" Just absolute cringe.

Most people try to say the game becomes fun once you unlock vehicles but that simply isn't true. The terrain is way too rocky to even use the vehicles to begin with and also it just wasn't as safe to use them. The game keeps insisting upon traveling lightly, they say this despite the fact it's damn near impossible to do so. You need ladders, hooks, weapons, the package you're delivering, and many other types of equipment on your journey so how could you possibly travel lightly. It's as if the game is trying its hardest to be inconvenient.

All in all this game does not deserve the praise it got. I'm glad it didn't win game of the year even though it shouldn't have been nominated to begin with.

I predict the next Gran Turismo will include motorcycles, and that it was hinted at by Death Stranding-UNR

https://ift.tt/eA8V8J

This is all just my wild-ass speculation, but hear me out. TL;DR at the bottom.

Why would a Gran Turismo game have motorcycles?

Gran Turismo's developers Polyphony Digital once made a motorcycle game for the PlayStation 2 called Tourist Trophy. Just like how Gran Turismo has many Japanese cars old and new, Tourist Trophy included plenty of new and old bikes from the big four Japanese brands Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki & Suzuki along with a few European and American ones like Triumph, Aprilia, BMW, and Buell (Buell was an American brand using engines from and later owned by Harley-Davidson).

What does Death Stranding have to do with it?

It has in-game collectible items called Memory Chips that when found and inspected tell stories about real-world objects, movies, music albums, etc. from the time before the apocalyptic events of Death Stranding. Of those 56 Memory Chips, ten describe certain motorcycle models from past and present (screenshot gallery). These are exactly the sorts of bike I'd expect to see if there was a new Tourist Trophy. Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, and Triumph have two each while Harley-Davidson has one. Many of them models are the same or similar models that were included in Tourist Trophy. Even the Harley isn't a typical cruiser, it's the Pan America adventure bike. Harley hasn't made this sort of bike before under that brand, but the Buell Ulysses was relatively similar.

Why are so many of Death stranding's collectibles about motorcycles?

Good question, and one I can't fully explain. The game stars Norman Reedus, an actor and motorcycle enthusiast with a a motorcycle travel show on TV called "Ride with Norman Reedus". In the game, your first available vehicle is a motorcycle of sorts called a "Reverse Trike", and a special variant of it is emblazoned with the logo of his TV show.

That said, the game doesn't really mention motorcycling other than these collectibles. There aren't any other vehicle-related collectibles, nor are any of the other collectibles such a niche subject.

Why would Death Stranding reference a PlayStation game via collectible items?

Death Stranding itself was referenced in collectibles in Horizon: Zero Dawn, released 32 months earlier. These so-called Stranded Items are a BB doll, cuff links, and Q-pid from Death Stranding. Death Stranding and Horizon share the Decima engine created by Horizon's devs Guerilla Games. Guerilla and Polyphony are both Sony-owned studios. Although Death Stranding's devs Kojima Productions aren't owned by Sony, the game was made in partnership with them and is not available on non-PlayStation consoles.

Why would motorcycles be in a new Gran Turismo game instead of in a standalone game like Tourist Trophy 2?

Tourist Trophy was essentially Gran Turismo 4 with bikes. I think with today's capability of DLC packs and live service games it makes less sense for Polyphony to make a two distinct games using the same engine, same tracks, and different vehicle types.

How likely do you think any of this is true?

Like, 5%. It really is just my wild-ass speculation. Of course the PS5 is just around the corner and many people are hoping and speculating about the next Gran Turismo game. Even if Polyphony is making a motorcycle game, it might be standalone and the Death Stranding collectibles have nothing to do with it.

TL;DR

Death Stranding has a disproportionate amount of motorcycle-related in-game collectible items. They're somewhat out-of-place in the game, and the makes and models featured are strikingly similar to what were included in Tourist Trophy. Death Stranding has a precedent of using in-game collectible items to tie-in with a first-party Sony game. There's probably a new Gran Turismo game coming for the PS5, so why not tease it this way in 2019.

Walking Dead Season 10 Finale Is Like Game Of Thrones Says Star-UNR

https://ift.tt/eA8V8J

Read more on WordPress https://ift.tt/36GITet

_The Walking Deadstar Norman Reedus says the season 10 finale of the zombie series is like _Game of Thrones._Season 10 of _The Walking Dead _began last fall and returned in February for its last stretch of episodes. Under normal circumstances, the season finale would have already aired by now. However, the coronavirus pandemic meant post-production on the episode could not be completed, so fans were left one episode shy of a full season back in April. Next week will mark two months since that last episode, “The Tower”, and as of right now, AMC has yet to reveal when the finale will air. Beyond that, it’s unclear when production will begin on the already-ordered season 11.

_The Walking Dead_last left its characters in a rather precarious situation. Newly crowned big bad Beta (Ryan Hurst) leads a horde of walkers to the hospital where most of the characters are holed up, suggesting that a massive battle is on the horizon. Fans are eager to see how this situation will resolve itself, though that’s not the only reason they have to be excited about this final episode. Maggie herself, Lauren Cohan, is set to return for _The Walking Dead_‘s season 10 finale, marking her first appearance since she left the series in season 9.

Related: Walking Dead Season 10 Finale Trailer Reveals Maggie’s Return

Since there is no news about when The Walking Dead_season 10 will air its finale, Reedus (who plays fan favorite Daryl Dixon) has opted to hype up the action that it will contain. Confirming fans’ suspicions that Beta’s advance equals war, Reedus told EW, “It’s going to be an epic battle.” To give fans an idea of how epic he’s talking, Reedus added, “_It’s like a full-on_Game of Thrones _super war battle.”

Throughout its eight-season run, _Game of Thrones _built up a reputation for its incredible battle seasons. The most acclaimed of them all came in season 6: The Battle of the Bastards. _Game of Thrones_‘ final season attempted to match the heights of that war with the Battle of Winterfell, but viewers were disappointed with the poor lighting and shockingly low body count. Hopefully, whatever _The Walking Dead _has planned for its season finale is more like the former.

The most frustrating thing now is the uncertainty of exactly when fans can expect the _Walking Dead _season 10 finale. In some instances with other television shows, post-production has been able to continue remotely during the pandemic. However, that does not seem to be the case with The Walking Dead. Therefore, until things clear up enough for everyone to complete the episode, _Walking Dead _fans are left hanging. Hopefully it won’t be too long before they get a reprieve.

Black Mirror opening theme in Death Straning.-UNR

https://ift.tt/eA8V8J

I'm not sure if somebody already pointed out this here but there is one easter egg from tv series Black Mirror in Death Stranding. I mean this theme from Black Mirror opening (which for me sounds like computer system crashing or something like that). Almost the same sound can be heard in Death Stranding ,precisely in the moment when you are near delivery terminal with your package. I was trying to record this moment here but I'm not sure if you will be able to catch it. There was some references to Black Mirror in interviews before Death Straning release, so I don't think that this is coincidence.

Are Japanese gamers upset that some games are made with an American audience in mind?-UNR

https://ift.tt/eA8V8J

I’ve noticed things happening in video games such as a decline in difficulty and casting well known American actors in mo-cap games.

For example, Death Stranding features actors like Norman Reedus and Mads Mikkelsen, actors who are mainly know for English speaking roles. I was confused by this at first since I thought it’d be easier for the developers to hire Japanese actors.

It’s clear that since a large portion of game revenue comes from the states, they’re trying to appeal to that market. I can understand that but I’m curious as to what consumers in the country these games are developed think.

I assume it’s similar to how Americans are making movies with a Chinese mindset such as transformers and the Meg. They know these movies will bomb in the US but they make so much money overseas. After realizing this they decided to have some scenes take place in China and cast chinese actors. I’d be fine with this if not for the censorship that comes with it, specifically the no ghosts no gays rule.

In the end, I just see movies made for Chinese audiences by American filmmakers to be similar to games made for American audiences by Japanese designers. Are those in Japan upset because a different country is dictating what they will eventually play as well or is it not as big of a deal as I thought?

Silent Hills EXISTS! I know...-UNR

https://ift.tt/eA8V8J

Heaven help me, I know...

So, I get this email a month ago. It was asking if I would like to be one of the select few to get to play the long awaited Hideo Kojima Silent Hills. That I was to keep quiet about it and be waiting in the empty parking lot a Gamestop at 3am or pm either one.

A dingy RV screeches into the parking lot and slams on its brakes in front of me. Out comes a very threatening man in a leather jacket, holding a barbwire baseball bat, and swearing a lot. He tells me to get on board. So, I do.

They throw a black cloth bag over my head for either social distancing purposes or to prevent me from knowing the secret location of the game testing site. We travel over many bumpy winding roads.

When the bag is taken off, I'm in a pitch black room. I yell to ask what's going on, but a big metal door slams closed.

Many hours later a small opening at the bottom of the door reveals a bit of light as it opens and an open can of what I can only assume to be dog food, by the taste, is rolled at me.

I lose track of the days, but it must have been a week and my cell is only occupied by me, my cries, and the empty cans clinking and rolling about.

A gravel voice asks me if I am ready to have my freedom on the condition that I play the new Silent Hills demo. I proclaim that's why I came in the first place and ask for some more delicious dog food, but with a spoon this time because I don't want to get the controller greasy.

Now, comes the bad part.

The game was rather lackluster. A pretty generic first person shooter, it turns out.

I'll give a few details.

Yes, you play as Norman Reedus. But Kojima being Kojima there's also another celebrity in the form of Michael Rooker from Guardians of the Galaxy fame.

Kojima has moved Silent Hills from its northeastern United States setting to what appears to be the rural southeast.

The voice over the radio is back but it turns out to be some annoying NPCs needing to be saved and giving mindless fetch quests with no deeper or interesting backstory or creepy lore.

The monsters seem to be mindless humans and nothing inspired like the original games.

Honestly, it plays more like a cheap Call of Duty than a classic survival horror or anything like the mind bending P.T. demo from half a decade ago.

I didn't have much fun with the game, but I did learn a lot about myself in that dark room with no light and only delicious dog food to satisfy my needs.

In accordo. Sul serio. Trascorri del tempo con la tua famiglia, i tuoi amici o i tuoi cari. Basta scendere da internet. C'e qualcos'altro oltre a quello che ti amo? Si Ti amo. Ragazzi ".

TIFU by deleting a few games from my PS4-UNR

https://ift.tt/eA8V8J

Gonna keep this one short. It happened just moments ago and I need to vent. My 4yo son wanted to play Goat Simulator, which I had removed from my PS4 some time ago. So I figured I’d clear up some space. I hadn’t finished a lot of the games yet... Sekiro, Resident Evil 2, Death Stranding... I figured I’d delete those for now and get back to them later. So I delete them and then I see Death Stranding and I wonder why in the hell it’s still on my PS4...

Then it hits me... I must have mistaken another game for Death Stranding... oh no... Hideo Kojima... Norman Reedus... Guillermo Del Toro...

I just deleted PT from my PS4. It is gone forever now. I’ll never get to pull it up again and tell people “I KEPT IT! We can play it right now!” It’s gone... and it doesn’t help that my sadness was so obvious that my 4 year old started crying for me.

TLDR I accidentally deleted PT and I can’t get it back. I was so upset about it that my son shed empathy tears.

[Pandorum] Earth Took Serious Countermeasures Against the Sickness-UNR

https://ift.tt/eA8V8J

Recap

Pandorum is the state of space sickness that makes officers kill their crewmates as the emptiness of space erodes their sense of morality/humanity. It typically grows slowly, and is then triggered usually by some event/trauma/knowledge. It's main symptoms are trembling hands, nosebleeds, and paranoia.

The first known case of Pandorum happened aboard the ship Eden, in which a single officer killed and trapped his flight crew, overrode security measures, and ejected thousands of humans in their hibernation pods into empty space.

The second known case of Pandorum happens aboard the Elysium, in which another single officer kills his flight crew, and goes from pod to pod awakening and inducing Pandorum into as many people as he can. This, paired with the adaptation enzymes designed to help the humans adapt to their target planet, mutates them over successive generations to adapt to the ship instead and turns them murderous humanoid beasts.

The Pandorum event in the Elysium was triggered when the officers received news that Earth was no more and that the last of humanity was aboard the ship.

Theory #1: Earth knew of their extinction, but didn't tell anyone

Earth was said to be one day there, the next nothing, and from the inscriptions on the side of the giant crock pot it's thought that a large asteroid took it out. Small Near Earth Objects are hard to track in this day and age, but large ones even we can detect. The events of the movie took place in the late 2100s, so it's quite likely that Earth authorities saw the meteor coming for years and didn't tell anyone in order to not spread panic.

However, they did at least take precaution to start building spaceships, under the pretense of exploration.

Theory #2: Eden was the first attempt to seed other planets

The event aboard the Eden occurred at least 8 years before the Elysium launched, since knowledge of it among the crew seems to be quite common. It is quite likely that the Eden, like the Elysium, was the first ship they sent out into space in the desperate hope of seeding another planet, only it failed when a high ranking officer succumbed to Pandorum.

Given how the officers aboard the Elysium did not know the true purpose of the Eden mission, nor their own, it seems quite likely that Earth was playing it's cards close to its chest.

But why? We'll see below.

Theory #3: Eden was also told the truth

Pandorum occurs very slowly without input and is only manifest through external coercion or events. For the Elysium, the first case was triggered by the knowledge that the Earth was no more, and in the second case we see it was almost triggered when the first officer tried to induce it in someone else by appealing to their sense of depravity.

In the Eden, we have no idea what triggered it. Either the officer was left awake too long and the sickness just took hold in one final crescendo of thought, or... the officer received a message from Earth on the true nature of their mission and the true peril of Earth, i.e. the same knowledge that triggered Pandorum aboard the Elysium later.footnote1

Ultimately, the Eden event taught the Earth engineers to not take space sickness lightly, and that humans become weak in space and cannot be trusted with enormous responsibility for extended periods of time.

What did the Earth engineers do to prevent this in future travels?

Theory #4: The Elysium was secretly designed to combat Pandorum

Either through extensive sensory deprivation testing at home, or just a plain conservative mistrust in human nature, the Earth engineers came to the conclusion that a significant portion of humanity is susceptible to Pandorum, and that just one person is enough to doom an entire mission.

Time was running out on Earth, and they needed to build a new better spaceship than the Eden with none of it's weaknesses caused by the human condition. Thus, the Elysium was born and launched (with 8 years still left to spare).

One major improvement the Elysium has over the Eden is that it was designed to fly and land itself. No human interaction whatsoever. Humans just had to survive the 100 year journey to make it to the other side, and the reactor could easily survive ten times that number of years without maintenance, which is why there seems to be a dire shortage of service technicians aboard the ship.

Another improvement is the automatic scheduling of flight crews. It is said that each flight crew is supposed to wake up the next, but this is a lie told to the humans to give them the illusion of control, because we see pods being activated at allocated times by themselves throughout the movie, and this makes sense if the engineers wished to reduce human error.footnote2

Another big improvement is the somewhat short wakeful times of 2 years per flight crew. It seems likely now that the Eden had longer wakeful periods in which Pandorum could set in, and these were shortened to two years in the Elysium.footnote3

A third major improvement is actually one of the main plot devices in the movie: Amnesia.

Theory #5: Amnesia is not a side effect of extended hibernation

The Elysium had a 100 year journey, which divided by (seen:) 7 different crews, each performing at 2 year intervals means that each person is awake (100/2/7=) 7-8 times giving roughly 15 years of wakefulness.

15 years is a lot of time for Pandorum to accumulate over, and I don't think the Earth engineers wanted to risk it.

On the side of the hibernation pods is written something along the lines of "extended periods of hibernation may cause amnesia", but I think this is also a lie and that amnesia is purposefully induced in an auspicious attempt to reset any latent levels of Pandorum that might exist in crewmembers, so that they can start their next shift in a more pacified state.

Indeed, when the second crew member is revived he is in a relatively calm and stable state and relates that amnesia is actually quite normal and that it takes a while "to get it all back".footnote4

Lingering Thoughts

One question that remains for me is why did Earth, knowing what happened with the Eden, still decide to tell Elysium about their fate?

To which I can only say - maybe they were not completely certain of the causes of Pandorum, or maybe they thought the ship was Pandorum-proof and assumed it was safe, or maybe just simply that they were scared to go out silently and only wanted to say goodbye to someone.

Thanks for reading!

Footnotes:

¹ I would like to believe that Earth only knows about what happened on Eden because hopefully there was still one survivor aboard who managed to regain control of the ship and relay to Earth what happened, but who knows maybe Earth was just watching remotely.

² That, or the ship was malfunctioning so bad that it was activating pods at random. However I choose not to believe this because Nadia's entire crew was activated at the same time and that was only 6 months before the events of the movie, and Norman Reedus' character speaks of being assured that Bower was going to "relieve us" hinting that he also was activated with other (likely now dead) crew members.

³ Why do I think they were shortened? Because they were specifically mentioned, either to serve as a guide for us to gauge how long each member is awake, or to tell us how the Elysium was different from the Eden.

⁴ Sure, he regains his memories very quickly afterwards but I place this more on the extraneous circumstances he was in and like to believe that he would be more placid if revived in a more normal environment. Or, that other crewmembers would spot the symptoms in him faster in his weakened state of revival.

[TOMT][philosophy][2020] people who played death stranding/folks who know philosophy please stand up-UNR

https://ift.tt/eA8V8J

Earlier this year I was watching someone play death stranding. yall know the game with Norman Reedus?

well, let me tell ya I was BLOWN away... mostly with the cut scenes... but still amazed at how intricate the story was.

anyways at some point earlier in the game, (like on the first two maps but after the president body disposal mission), there was a specific cut scene where they talk about hands and how they are the same when palm to palm but, (and this is where it gets muddy), something about when overlapping ur hands they become... for lack of a better term 'unsymmetrical'??

they name the philosopher/philosophy and, like a lot of the game, it is/was a real concept in our reality. I remember looking it up and being fascinated by it now im at a loss as to what to look up as everything I type leads to nonsense...

please help me figure this one out guys, it's... driving me straight up nuts!!

I appreciate yall, first one who proves tht im not making this all up gets a kiss

Finally got around to watching TWD (pretty much binging it at this point, I'm already on Season 2, Episode 5 after two days) and I'm starting to not want to continue watching just because of how plain awful Andrea's character is to watch. I've never had a show make me this demotivated to continue it because of a single character, but also as a big fan of both Norman Reedus and his character in this show, her shooting him crosses the line for me really. I have no clue what's going to happen to him, I assume he's alive as Reedus still works on this show, but I just can't stand her.

Martin Scorcese, Hideo Kojima and Other Pretentious People Miss The Point of Entertainment-UNR

https://ift.tt/eA8V8J

My wife and I watched "Infernal Affairs" last night. It's caused me to rethink Scorcese's legend overall and specifically his own inflated sense of importance to movies in general.

I don't know if I can definitely say "The Departed" is a better film. Especially when considering the difference in budget and production values. Also the biggest difference - the fact that Scorcese had such quality material to base his own work off.

Considering "The Departed" didn't improve on "Infernal Affairs" at all (my opinion) or improved on it a little (fair opinion) isn't that a relative failure?

Taking this further, it turns out that Martin Scorsese doesn't make films based on an original premise/script. His movies are all based on Books or other films. Now I'm not going to question that method because it obviously works well for him. He has made some fantastic films this way. But no matter how good a Cover Band is, they are still a cover band. They are not taking much artistic risk and that's why we don't put them in the same category as a group that are working collaboratively to make music from scratch. Scorcese is looking for Gold with a detailed map, he's not prospecting at all. His vision is an interpretation of a visionary's completed work. Again there's nothing wrong with that at all. But that becomes a bit rich when he wants to turn into a snob and a "purist" on what's art and what's not when talking about the Marvel movies.

I still prefer this attitude to Hideo Kohima though. Who makes incredibly convoluted, unnecessarily complicated video games under the guise of having a unique vision. If you don't understand his vision you are an idiot who doesn't understand what a video game should strive to be. Not just jump, kick, run. It should have Norman Reedus with a android baby that only exists in a parallel universe strapped to his chest delivering intergalactic parcels. Or something like that.

If you enjoy Video Games, no one should be able to tell you how to enjoy them. You might get the same amount of joy from Tetris that you get from Metal Gear Solid and that's perfectly fine. The guy that makes Metal Gear Solid is not allowed to call you an idiot for enjoying Tetris.

As an almost 40 year old who grew up reading and enjoying Comic Books, the Marvel movies are great fun for me. They aren't Citizen Kane, because The Avengers comics were not "Love in the Time of Cholera." Why would you expect them to be?

The fact they exist is not destroying the movie industry at all. Just like the fact that Martin Scorsese became an industry icon off the back of buying people's homework before school doesn't make him a learned Academic.

I know this is a very late response to his Marvel comments, but after seeing "Infernal Affairs" I feel like his genius is very much borrowed.

Looking for movies that deliver their story in milestones-UNR

https://ift.tt/eA8V8J

So milestones probably isn’t the best word to describe what I’m looking for but we’ll work with it.

A couple examples and they are all practically the same exact film are the ninth gate, 8mm and the master of horrors episode that had Norman Reedus in it.

I’m not exactly looking for movies with similar plots, more similar styles to how the story is given.

I really enjoyed the “journey” the main characters went on going from one bit on information to the next, and I know this sound like “well that’s every mystery film ever” but to me there was something different.

I didn’t really care for 8mm at all, only thing that kept me going was the journey and the cage(the actor) I think I should actually clarify with that particular film...

If anyone can decipher my rambling and give me some suggestions, would probably make my night a lot less boring.

I can't believe that just happened-UNR

https://ift.tt/eA8V8J

So over the last 2 months, i've watched kind of a disgusting amount of movies. I've seen an obscene amount of movies in my life, but now im curious what else people will suggest that maybe i wont have seen. I've seen many really popular movies, so what are some off the wall blockbusters or indie movies that I'll probably like? Or movies that maybe aren't as popular as you think they should be?

My favorite movies of all time are ones that really make you think "I cant believe that just fucking happened" (s/o Norman Reedus a la Boondock Saints). My top 3 are probably: The Prestige Annihilation Gone Baby Gone

I've also recently watched, and loved, Ex Machina, Misery, Shot Caller, Shimmer Lake, Seven Psychopaths, Minority Report, Unbreakable.

I want to use my brain and be totally immersed in something. So what've you got for me, Reddit?

Edit: if you know if it's streaming anywhere, that would be super helpful as well

Just finished the game about a week ago and joined this community today, so hopefully this hasn't already been discussed. The game has stuck with me and I still think about many aspects of the story and characters. There's a lot of on the nose symbolism throughout the game, but it just struck me that reedus's affiliation with a show called the walking dead fits so we'll with this game - given Sam's relationship with death and obviously, the walking.

I feel like there's so much intention to every detail in this game that it can't be a coincidence. The fourth wall breaking and all the ties to real life are something that I really love about this game

[TOMT] animated youtube video that was really funny to me like 5 years ago-UNR

https://ift.tt/eA8V8J

it was an animated video of a guy, he kinda looked like norman reedus. i was shaving. he then decides to shave his nether regions. he says something in the beginning along the lines of i am a strong/handsome/beautiful man and i have a masculine body. but he is actually chunky and covered in acne. after he shaves his regions he is very happy. he claims it feels like his ass cheeks are sliding past eachother. then he realizes its a bit itchy and proclaims that it feels like there is sandpaper between his asscheeks.

I've never really had a favorite actor until Norman Reedus! Just something about that man.

PT is a "pre-sequel" ,both a prequel and a sequel, of Death Stranding.-UNR

https://ift.tt/eA8V8J

Just to be sure, i am going to say this, this is a theory,a speculation,a lie, a mis-truth,something that exists thanks to the ramblings of a madman.

Also i want to thank everyone at the External Gazer discord, who were the friends that gave me all i needed for this theory,as it is an "expansion" of one of the theories Gazer himself made in a video.

Now lets proceed.

This theory tells how PT is a "pre-sequel" ,both a prequel and a sequel, of Death Stranding.

This will involve explaining both, first how it is a prequel,if only one takes in account the "horror themes" of PT ,then, how it is a sequel, taking in account the "virtual reliaty themes" of PT,as both are needed to truly "see the whole forest" of the theory instead of only 2 trees, separated by each other.

Let´s begin.

Part 1:PT is the personal beach/hell of Cliff´s wife,Lisa (and maybe Sam Porter Bridges´s too)

PT is a horror game thanks to not only the mysterious way it presents itself, the themes about parenthood going wrong, the sound and the ambient, but also thanks to the main "antagonist" in it,Lisa.

Lisa presents itself as a woman with black hair and that does not have her right eye, that follows us and attacks us in PT.

Death Stranding show us Sam Porter Bridges´s past in visions of the past, where we are shown Sam´s real biological mother, also called Lisa, andhow she was killed by his father Cliff.

Lisa is an state of vegetative coma, she is unable to communicate with anyone, and Bridges as an organisation holds her and her recently born son Sam as possible test subjects.

Cliff,is given a gun by Die Hardman, that is to used to put Lisa out of her misery.

Cliff gets a pillow, puts it in Lisa´s face, then puts the gun on the pillow, then proceeds to pull the trigger.

Is it possible that this Lisa is the same LIsa as the one in PT?

Cliff shoots her almost on the right side of her face,on the level were her eyes should have been, this possibly could have made the bullet gouge her eye out, creating the monster we are all so afraid of in PT.

Now the question is,what is PT exactly?

We know at least this game was a form of punishment,a "hell",something created to punish the main charcterp´s sins.

The connection between Death Stranding and PT could be possible thanks to one element of the Death Stranding lore.

Beaches.

Beaches in Death Stranding are akin tohell, heaven, a place where the soul goes after the person´s death. These beaches are formed in a way due to the person´s experiences.

This theory maintains that that is what PT´s corridors are,a beach that belongs to Lisa,a hell that was created due to her own perception of her death,as we have seen the narrative in PT where a husband kills, executes his own wife.

We know that the main character of PT is Norman Reedus, and if PT really is connected to Death Stranding, this will be ignored for now,as this will be explained for now,but will be taken on account on the second part of the theory.

The person who experienced PT as a living hell he had to go trough, was Cliff,Sam´s father, who after killed her own wife, ended up killing himself and his baby son Sam.

This was possible thanks to the "divine" hand of Amelie, who we all know, is the Eextinction Entity, this gives her the capacity to reign over all the beaches,as all beaches reside inside her own beach.

Amelie sent Cliff to rescue Sam´s Ka ,his soul, represented by the fetus monster that resided in the sink, and by the baby laughs that the player had to "trigger" to end the infinite circlish hell PT is.

How did Sam´s Ka ended up in Lisa´s beach? If it is Lisa´s beach, this could happen since Sam was actually never "born" hence he went to Lisa´s beach since he never was "himself",only a "part of" Lisa. This is how he ends on his mother´s beach.

Amelie sends Cliff to save Sam,and is able to communicate with him trough one of PT´s portraits,in this case, the portrait is one with a woman with a necklace next to the clock,as it says:"My voice can you hear it?,this sign can you read it?I´ll wait forever if you´ll just come to me".This is Amelie in her beach trying to communicate with Cliff so he can bring Sam´s Ka back to her so she is able to revive Sam.

Another hint as to how Cliff was the one that went rough PT is that in one scene in Death Stranding shows Cliff naked, covered in mud,but the part of his body where his reproductive organs should be,there is nothing.

Why is this?Well, when you start PT,you get killed by Lisa at least once,in this case, when Lisa catches you,you can hear a zipper being opened, then a sound of something fleshy being cut off or removed.

This fleshy thing that was removed, was Cliff´s reproductive organs.

Where did his reproductive organs end up?

Well...when the game "restarts" one thing changes in the beginning room,on the corner, you find the infamous philosophical prophet Mr. Bloodied paper bag, also known as Cliff´s dick and balls.

Philosophical prophet Mr.Bloodied paper bag also gives us hints to Death Stranding but this will be explained later.

To summarise:Cliff went to PT´s corridor to recue Sam´s Ka thanks to Amelie´s intervention,so he could bring it to Amelie so she could revive him,as shown in the ending of Death Stranding.

It is also worth noting this, the PT “poem solution” which was various parts of what i would call a poem, that traducted would be something like this:

“I whispered your name, but the wind of the night took your voice away.

I didn't move anymore during the waiting, then his finger slipped on my hand.

It was a cold hand, body was trembling.

Never moving a step, his hand in mine, I waited for it to pass.

And through the mist of fading consciousness I believed, I heard a phone.”

Tough not exact, this poem has kinda a parallel with the DS scene where Amelie first repatriates BB Sam after he was shot in his stomach and killed,as the whole “the wind of the night took your voice away” and “cold hand” could refer to a dead body, and “waited for it to pass” can be a reference as how Sam´s stomach bullet hole starts repairing until he “revives”.

The “mist of fading conciousness” refers to the scene whe Amelie reptriates him as a BB back to Earth trough the seam, where we can see different planets, stars and other.

Now with all this in mind:Why is Norman Reedus,in other words,Sam Porter Bridges ,the one that is the playable character in PT?

Part 2:PT is a virtual reality videogame Sam Porter Bridges had to go trough 20 years after the Death Stranding ending.

How can we know PT is 20 years after Death Stranding?

This is shown to us when the infamous "J crash" happens:

" Knowing you, I was sure you'd notice this game and play it. I will never – can never – forget that day 20 years ago. I have something to tell you. Contact me. – J."

Who is J?This can be answered thanks to Death Stranding.

J is Die-Hardman himself, whose real name can be found in one of the info chips in-game Die Hardman´s name is .... John McClane.

We know that Die Hardman would be unable or would have it very hard to find Sam after the ending of Death Stranding, since Sam incinerated his BRIDGES cuffs after Deadman deactivated them.

This would make it near to impossible, very time consuming or very difficult to find Sam,who most likely went AWOL to be able to raise BB, Louise, his daughter

Bridges somehow found a way to use the chiral net to recreate beaches or elements inside them trough virtual realities, in this case,PT is a videogame made with this discovery to find Sam espcifically,

since he would be able to recognise his mother as the games monster,Lisa.

Sam would be like:"Why the fuck is this game´s monster my mother?"Then play it to make sure if it was her or not.

It is also worth noting that it could not only be Die Hardman that appears in PT trough these crashes but also Heartman,Fragile,Lockne and Deadman who might have also helped develop the game,as they could be identified trough other messages that were left in these crashes, all with different colors, making it so each color is identifying each one.

These would be red(Deadman who always uses red),black(Fragile whose suit is black) and yellow(Heartman, whose heart defibrillator is yellow,)grey(Lockne, kinda via elimination), and white (Die Hardman, who we already said is J).

We can also use the different frames, photos, pictures in PT to identify places in Death Stranding itself.

One is a little river that is shown in one of the trailers, and the other is the tunnel that Deadman and BB pass trough.I would even reccomend using the photo mode to recreate the PT photos inside the house.

Also the Great prophetic philosopher Mr.Bloodied Paper Bag great and only meessage to us is also a "description" of DS itself:

"I walked. I could do nothing but walk. And then, I saw me walking in front of myself. But it wasn't really me. Watch out. The gap in the door... it's a separate reality. The only me is me. Are you sure the only you is you?"

a)"I walked. I could do nothing but walk":this is a reference to how DS as a game works,DS is famously known as a "walking simulator" by many.

b)"And then, I saw me walking in front of myself. But it wasn't really me":The game various times makes hints that there are other Sam Porter Brdiges in existance,as if they exist in other universes, this is also shown by the Sam´s of other players that throw items to help the player or when he screams and gets answers from other players.

It´s you,Sam, but they are not really you, since they are other players.

c)"Watch out. The gap in the door... it's a separate reality.":This might refer to a way to enter other player´s world,to enter other universes or other realities.Or just to the way Sam is able to enter to the seam and beaches. Also some “portals” or “black holes” have been seen in game throwing stuff to the map.

Now the question is...

For what purpose does Die Hardman need Sam?How did Sam get to experience PT so vividly if it only was a VR videogame?

This is the most speculative part of the theory.

it is possible that the sequel, dlc of the game is what is shown in the Ludens trailer.

We know that at least Ludens exists inside DS, as Sam has a trinket of Ludens attached to BB´s pod.We also know that Die Hardman´s mask is the Ludens mask itself.

It is possible that Ludens himself is Sam Porter Bridges, and that the suit lets him "enhance" his DOOMS ability,in this case, the ability that is enhanced is Sam´s ability to "experience" virtual realities inside his "conciousness".

The virtual realities Sam has experienced inside his concioussnes are the visions of his past when he was a BB, wich are able to be experienced when he connects to the chiral net trough BB.

That is why Sam sometimes even thinks time has been stopped or "enlarged" whenever he had one,it was a VR that happened "inside" him, kinda as how our own dreams seem "enlarged" or "shortened" compared to the time that actually passes when we were sleeping.

The last vision, the one were he is shown how he is killed together with Cliffs is the one that tells us this, as when one of the soldiers passes trough him,Sam himself becomes "blue light",almost as how some holograms in sci-fi are showed.

The reason the light is blue coloured its because the seam itself is where the data is pulled from, since the seam´s color is mentioned to be blue in one of the info chips.

We know at least that Ludens himself is able to "recreate" or "project" virtual realities over the physical world thanks to the trailer, but interestingly enough, the thing he "summons" is a white whale.

One of the few things that are shown to us inside the seam whenever Sam dies and goes to the seam is a white whale that swims by,this white whale maybe being the same white whale that appears on the Ludens trailer, the whale that is being summoned trough the chiral net from the seam, into the real physical world.

One last thing to note,as we get near to Geoff Keighley´s Days of Summer event,at the end of PT,there is one last thing shown.

“This game is a teaser,It has no direct relation to the main title”

PT is a teaser, but it has no direct relation to the main title,Silent Hills,,with this,we could say PT is a teaser made to “tease” PT,but it´s contents are not related to it.if this is so,what was really PT?

A teaser for Silent Hills…or a teaser for Death Stranding?

And now that Death Stranding was released…we get the promised Silent Hills?

Who knows?

I will leave this link to a website that has most of the "content" of PT in images, from photos, words, sentences, images to the radio emissions in case you,the reader, want to remember or find about the things i have talked about: http://www.silenthillmemories.net/silent_hills/pt_script_en.htm

Thanks for your time and i hope you have a beautiful and nice day.

Was anyone else seriously turned off to Death Stranding by the tacky product placement? The monster I could forgive but when Sam sat on the toilet and was covered by a “Ride With Norman Reedus on AMC” I died a little inside.-UNR

What if Negan killed...-UNR

https://ift.tt/eA8V8J

...Daryl instead of Glenn in Season Seven Episode One?

I could never fathom Negan choosing to kill Glenn over Daryl after Daryl jumped him realistically within the show. I get that AMC didn't want to lose Norman Reedus off the show for how popular Daryl's character was and that in-universe Negan wanted to make the group turn on each other with Daryl's death but honestly this last reason doesn't really convince me and just seemed like a cheap way to find a new way to keep an old character interesting by killing off another old character for them.

So lets imagine that Negan initially kills Abraham, then after Daryl jumps him for shouting at Rosita, Negan chooses to instead kill Daryl with Lucille instead of Glenn and leaves him be - how would this change the plot moving forward? Would Glenn still eventually die somewhere down the line, would he still remain who he was and be the moral compass of the group or would Daryl and Abraham's deaths harden him as a person and would Maggie still go on a bloodlust to kill Negan?

[TOMT][YouTube Video][2010s] Name of an eerie YouTube video where a guy films in first person while walking around an abandoned house in a loop like a real-life version of Silent Hill P.T.?-UNR

https://ift.tt/eA8V8J

Even though he constantly walks in the same direction, he's walks through the same corridor again and again. He even explores some rooms as he goes and he also describes his surroundings from time to time.

The environment progressively gets weirder and creepier and every iteration of the house feels more and more dilapidated with some sort of organic stuff growing in it as he went on walking. It's a slow burn horror-type of video relying on ambiance and no jumpscares. I remember a bathtub where a "corpse" is chilling in and some other crazy visuals I can't really mouth.

It's probably/totally inspired by Silent Hill's P.T. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r6NCC-nnvMU). Game was sadly unreleased and Norman Reedus' face was relocated to Death Stranding.

I also remember that the YouTuber now does Minecraft videos in his channel.

Lots of thanks!
