Tweets between Geoff and Kojima leading up to TGA.

Death Stranding shown in TGA promo.

Previous history with Kojima, DS, Geoff, and TGA.

And we get... nothing. Absolutely nothing. WTF happened? As disappointing as it is, i’m really trying to find a reason or upside to it. The current speculation was to get a trailer tonight, most likely with a release date.

Say we stick to the speculation of an early 2019 release after the Norman Reedus interview, could it be possible Kojima is intending to pull a P.T. and release Death Stranding some random day out of nowhere? Or reveal the release date in an extremely short time like 1-2 weeks before?

Highly unlikely considering it would be impossible to keep a secret because of physical copies, and I don’t see him doing digital only unless it’s free (probably not gonna happen) Not to mention Sony will want to market the shit out of this game once we draw near.

Also, in every single interview with Norman about Death Stranding, he’s been very tight-lipped and we usually hear something like “I’m not allowed to say much about it.” So... what changed? Why all of a sudden he’s not even thinking twice about saying details of the game and even a potential release period? In an interview uploaded right around TGA? Maybe he slipped... but I really doubt it knowing how he and all the other actors involved speak of Kojima and DS.

I don’t know. I’m rambling. I’m sorry. Tonight made me feel more confused than ever. I was confident something coming tonight. Confident in an early 2019 release but now I’m not sure. I still think 2019 is possible. Kojima can do a Bethesda-Fallout 4 scenario and announce a Fall release date next year at E3.

Thoughts on tonight? Vent your frustrations? Regardless, one day we’re gonna have the game in our hands. One day this will all be worth it.
