I watched at recent YouTube video (which I can't find now) which talked about celebrity voices in movies and how they influenced the movie's production. The video I watch was talking about Robin Williams' performance in Aladdin and how it was so amazing that many animated movies after that tried to replicate the success by hiring other Hollywood actors to fill voice over roles. The end result is that the Hollywood voice actors were not as good as professional voices artists but they generate more money.
I can see the same sort of trend being true for video games now that real actors are starting to be incorporated in the medium. With Keanu Reeves being in Cyberpunk 2077 and Norman Reedus in Death Stranding it seems like there is definitely a trend towards main stream actors coming into video games.
Trying to replicate an actors look, mannerisms and movement is only going to stifle a game maker's creativity and should be avoided.
