BLITZO STONE OCEAN, AHHHHHHHHH
Anyway, after watching the new episode, (which I’ll eventually review.) Time to get back on the train.
Too start, this episode really serves a return to form after CHERUB, The Harvest Moon Festival not only gives our Possum boy more time in the spotlight, but evolve all else, the episodes just fun.
Sure it is a pretty simple premise, Moxxie leanes he’s in fact not swole, and that he has a brain! But I am just so thankful that this arc wasn’t about Millie liking Striker, the series and the audience knows that Millie loves and believes in Moxxie, this episode is about Moxxie believing in himself, planting the seeds for his development on the next episode.
However, I think I speak for everyone when I say, I really wish this was a Millie centric episode, don’t get me wrong, she’s perfectly fine in this episode, but the issue is that Mille is kind of like Fiona in Shrek 2, she plays an essential tole in Moxxie character arc, but she herself does not get nearly as much focus and kind of gets shafted, which is a shame, considering this is the episode with her family in and oh yeah! New characters!
Now besides the rattle snake boi, there are some other ones. It’s weird that no one simps for Joe, I mean, he’s voiced by Edward Bosco! That’s an easy way to have an unhealthy amount of fans! Lin is absolutely a milf, and the fact that there’s no overly sexualized merchandise of Lin is a crime. Then there’s Sallie Mae, not much to say, other then they dont treat you like your a brain dead child, and let’s the audience pick up that she’s transgender, it’s nice that they don’t stop everything and say, OH BY THE WAY IM TRANSGENDER, cough high guardian spice cough, but enough delays, we need to talk about basically Hol Horse the imp.
Yeah Striker is easily the best villain so far, while yes he is another one without any relationship to Blitz, you know what he has? Intimidation. And nothing shows that better then when Moxxie finds the sniper, we’ve already seen that Striker outclasses Moxxie in every physical category, but we really see it in this scene, he absolutely towers over Moxxie, brutally strangles him, barely even reacts to getting a vase dropped on his back, and even after hetti staved multiple times in the back, he basically shrugs it off and breaks Millies arm by smashi against the wall, and even beyond that, the fantastic performance by Norman Reedus, everything about Striker let’s you know, don’t get in his way, or you’ll pay with your life.
Which then brings us to easily the best scene in the episode, Strikwr prepares to JFK Stolas, but Blitz appears to stop him, however, Striwkr then starts to talk about Blitz and Stolas, how he’s little more then a plaything for Stolas, and that he should go with him, while yes it is later revealed that he was jsy playing along for Moxxie to show up, it’s clear that Strikers words had a damn good effect on Blitz, too the point where he almost seemed tempted to join up with Striker, but alas, Moxxie shows up with the angelic rifle, and the fight begins. And it’s fucking awesome. Sure it’s simple, but that’s kind of the beauty of it, every blow that’s landed by Blitz and Striker just feels so raw, but the true fun in the fight comes from Moxxies involvement. The entire episode has shown that Moxxie is awful at physical fighting, so rather then do something stupid and have Moxxie suddenly able to trade blows with Striker, Moxxie picks up the rifle and pretty much plays support as Blitz directly confronts Striker, and in this case it works best as Blitz and Moxxie manage to drive Striker into a corner and have him at gunpoint, only for Loona to slam Moxxie with the door, giving Struker an openin to escape but not before taunting Blotz one last time and telling them they’ll meet again.
Also this episode made Stella a bitch before it was cool!
In case you couldn’t guess, episode 5 is excellent, and would probably be perfect if not for the fact that, best girl got ratio’d again.
9/10, also get ready, because part 7, Truth Seeking Run, is gonna be a long one.
