Do you think the TV franchise could outlive any actor at this point?
Personally, I feel like Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus and Jeffrey Dean Morgan are the three must-haves.
Lincoln's presence adds a great deal of legitimacy. Even casual viewers are still invested in Rick. My mother stopped watching way back in season 5, but she's hyped for "The Ones Who Live" purely because she wants to know what happens to Rick in the end. His return completely overshadowed the finale.
Reedus is "old reliable". He's been there (almost) since day one, everyone likes him and he's instantly identifiable. It would just feel empty without him.
Morgan, because Negan is arguably the character with the most story left to tell. Plus his charisma draws in viewers. His unpredictability makes him continually exciting.
