Insider: Death Stranding 2 is being developed under the code name Ocean
Amid rumors that Stadia has refused to release a Death Stranding sequel, fresh insider information from user Dusk Golem has arrived. He assures that a sequel to the story is already in production - Kojima Productions is doing it together with Sony.
If we believe the user, the second part of Death Stranding has a working title Ocean. The project is part of a long-term agreement between the studio of Hideo Kojima (Hideo Kojima) and Sony. Therefore, the sequel will again become a temporary PlayStation exclusive.
Dusk Golem writes that the parties are currently discussing whether to extend the contract after the release of Death Stranding 2. At the same time, the insider stressed that no other studio is in talks with Kojima Productions to work on the aforementioned game.
The Xbox deal was never about DS2. Sony and Kojima Productions have a multi-game contract that expires after the release of DS2. The two sides are currently deciding whether to continue their collaboration after DS2. Here's the truth.
Dusk Golem.
Recall that Kojima is actually doing something together with Microsoft - an unnamed project uses cloud technology. Perhaps we are talking about the horror Overdose. In addition, the development of a sequel to Death Stranding has been mentioned ahead of time by lead actor Norman Reedus.
