June 2021:
- Kim Swift who worked at Google Stadia is hired by Microsoft as Sr. Director of Cloud Gaming. This could mean work for KojiPros native cloud game likely started in the second half of 2021.
August 2021:
- Norman Reedus says a Death Stranding sequel is in negotiations. Maybe this negotiation at that time where about his role in the game and not about start of development because that seems to have started in October 2020.

October 2022:

- New reveal is teased at PAX Aus.
So it seems likely that a new Death Stranding game is in development since October 2020. Death Stranding was developed in less than 3,5 years and Kojima Productions only grew to 80 people while developing the game. This game will likely take longer because of the pandemic, remote work, two games in development and also because they developed Death Stranding Directors`s Cut and the PC versions in the last years. At the moment around 100 people are working at KojiPro. So I think a release in 2024 is very likely.
