I think silent Hill pt was meant to be a prequel story the reason I think this is that the main antagonist of silent Hill 4 Walter is said to be abandoned by his parents and left in room 302 with his umbilical cord out but I believe we already know who's Walters parents are they are the ones we meet in silent Hill pt we're we hear what really happened to them his father murdered the mother and cut out Walter leaving them both for dead you can also see at the end of pt Norman Reedus walking through an apart meant district sort of like the ones we see in silent Hill 4 the room. There is also other things like a screen pops up in pt and it says J contact me there is actually a character named Joseph silent Hill 4 his nickname was J as well he was the previous owner of room 302 before he moved in room 302 he was actually investigating a family were there son was supposedly kidnapped by a cult there is also things like the bathroom in the game having the same sound effects as the one in silent Hill 4 not to mention at the end when the baby starts talking it's saying it bringing new toys with him if you played silent Hill 4 room then you already know about creepy toys watching you. Not to mention the us peeping in bathrooms a mechanic found in silent Hill 4 but the biggest thing I get from this is that at the end we see Norman Reedus walking through the town it looks almost like the row of apartments we see in silent Hill 4 my guess is that pt was actually meant to stand for prequel trailer but they thought it would give it away to much info so they changed it to playable trailer also keep in mind the game is named silent Hill no numbers or anything this might all be speculative but I needed to share this.
