The Walking Dead Rewritten (Season 9)-UNR

https://ift.tt/eA8V8J

Hey guys. Back again with another rewrite of The Walking Dead. Season 9 was excellent, so you will be able to tell that I kept lots of things the same, minus a few changes with the cast. Of course Carl is still alive and Dwight is back. If you want to read the others, just check on my profile and get yourself caught up. I made these from Season 5 and onward.

Here is the main cast:

STARRING:

  • Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes
  • Norman Reedus as Daryl Dixon
  • Lauren Cohan as Maggie Rhee
  • Chandler Riggs as Carl Grimes
  • Danai Gurira as Michonne Grimes
  • Melissa McBride as Carol Peletier
  • Alanna Masterson as Tara Chambler
  • Josh McDermitt as Eugene Porter
  • Christian Serratos as Rosita Espinosa
  • Seth Gilliam as Gabriel Stokes
  • Ross Marquand as Aaron
  • Erik Jensen as Steven Edwards
  • Austin Amelio as Dwight (at 9x06)
  • Tom Payne as Jesus (at 9x06)
  • Khary Payton as Ezekiel (at 9x06)
  • Samantha Morton as Alpha (at 9x10)
  • Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Negan

ALSO STARRING:

  • Xander Berkeley as Gregory
  • Katelyn Nacon as Enid
  • Callan McAuliffe as Alden
  • Avi Nash as Siddiq

901 - A New Beginning

In the 18-month timeskip, Rick and Michonne have gotten married. We see a picture frame in their house of their wedding day with Judith as the flower girl. Carl joins them on the supply run to the museum. Cyndie and the surviving members of Oceanside have merged with Alexandria. Enid is living back in Alexandria with Carl, being medically trained by Siddiq and Edwards. Everything else plays out mostly the same. We see the Carl and Negan interaction where Negan asks him if he still wants to kill him, to which Carl says, “Yes Negan. You know I still do.” Gregory still suffers the same fate.

902 - The Bridge

Gavin, having been a construction foreman pre-apocalypse, takes the lead on the bridge construction. He is genuine in wanting peace between the communities. Carl works with Daryl and Aaron at the logging camps and is there to help when Aaron loses his arm. Gabriel and Jadis still become lovers, although it is shown that Jadis is keeping secrets from the group.

903 - Warning Signs

This episode plays out pretty much exactly the same. Carl keeps the peace back at the camp while Rick, Carol, Daryl and Maggie look for Arat, who is still murdered by Cyndie.

904 - The Obliged

Rick and Carol’s last scene would be swapped for him and Carl, who offers to help Carol and her people return to the Kingdom. Carl and Rick’s last scene is exactly like the Season 7 finale deleted scene, expressing their love for one another.

905 - What Comes After

Rick’s last episode was beautiful, so I wouldn’t change much here. Only things I’d change would be I would’ve had Tyreese instead of Sasha. Steven Yeun was unwilling to return, so I think Chad Coleman would have came back. Hershel and Shane’s scenes would remain the same. We also see Carl’s reaction to his dad’s apparent death. Also, we do not see Maggie and Negan's confrontation. I'm saving that for Season 10. Michonne instead talks her out of entering his cell by reminding her what Beth would have wanted.

906 - A New Beginning

After the six-year timeskip, Carl has cut his hair and is looking more like his comic counterpart. He is extremely protective of Judith, RJ and Michonne and is just like his dad. He and Enid broke up and she is off at the Hilltop as their head doctor alongside Dr. Carson. Siddiq and Rosita have continued their relationship instead of with Gabriel. Instead, Gabriel and Barbara are in a relationship and they have a two-year old son named Nicky. Gavin has joined Alexandria and is on the council. Edwards is still the head doctor and is still baby Beth’s father, who is now almost eight. We get a glimpse at the start of the episode during the montage where we see Dwight in the woods, decapitating a walker with his axe. He is in his attire he is wearing when he’s introduced in Fear. Carl joins Michonne, Siddiq and DJ to escort Magna’s group to Hilltop.

907 - Stradivarius

This episode stays the same for the most part. Only difference is that Carl is still alive and we get some good interactions with him and Michonne.

908 - Evolution

This episode stays the same, even the Jesus death. I think it worked extremely well. Carl and Henry hang out at Hilltop and when they get drunk on moonshine with the other kids, Carl passes out in a ditch and Henry leaves him there in fear of damaging his blacksmithing role. Enid still enters a relationship with Alden.

Meanwhile, after dropping Henry off at Hilltop, Carol and Dianne are heading back to the Kingdom when they encounter a broken down RV that has been fortified into a base. They go to scavenge and find themselves at gunpoint by Dwight. Upon realizing who they are, he lowers his gun and tries to go back into isolation. However, Carol talks him into joining the Kingdom and that what Daryl doesn’t know won’t hurt him. Dwight reveals what happened after he was exiled: He went searching for Sherry and followed notes across the state, until he found a note from her encouraging him to stop looking for her. Depressed and suicidal, Dwight encountered somebody who helped bring him back and encouraged him to keep going. He ended up in the RV in the woods and lived there in isolation ever since. Dwight goes with Carol and Dianne back to the Kingdom.

909 - Adaptation

Henry visits Carl in his cell and apologizes for abandoning him, telling him that everyone at the Kingdom is counting on him and didn't want to let them down. Carl angrily tells Henry to go. Daryl and the others return with Jesus' body and the captured Lydia. We see the start of Carl and Lydia's relationship, talking to one another from their cells.

910 - Omega

This episode stays the same, except it's Carl in Henry's place.

911 - Bounty

The scenes at Hilltop play out the same, except it’s Carl instead of Henry. (Like it should have been!) Daryl, Connie and Dog leave to find Carl who chased after Lydia.

At the Kingdom, Dwight struggles to assimilate into the community. Ezekiel persuades him to leave the past in the past and invites him on their mission for the bulb. Throughout, Dwight begins to come to terms that he may never find Sherry, but Jerry promises to help him look. During the All My Dreaming montage, Dwight shaved his beard and gets a haircut, turning over a new leaf.

912 - Guardians

While Daryl and Connie are out looking for Carl, they realize they are being followed by Henry. He reveals that he feels immense guilt over Carl's imprisonment and says he wants to make things right with him. Daryl reluctantly lets him go with them. Gabriel is also cut out of the Rosita love triangle, as he is now in a relationship with Barbara.

913 - Chokepoint

The Daryl, Carl, Connie, Henry and Lydia vs Beta and Whisperers story remains the same. How could I change Daryl vs Beta? I mean come on! At the Kingdom, Dwight and Jerry get jumped by the Highwaymen looking for Sherry, leading to the stand-off at their headquarters. During the stand-off, Ezekiel tries to get intel about Sherry from him, but they don't know who she is. They get Ozzy and his men on their side and at the fair, Tara has a cold reunion with Dwight.

914 - Scars

The flashbacks remain the same. However, Carl is with Michonne and Daryl when they kill Jocelyn and the kids. In the present, Carl and Michonne talk, where Carl informs her that he is moving away from Alexandria, being done with Michonne’s closed off behaviour to the other communities. He gives the speech that he gave Rick in the comics about how “The world is my father and I have its looks.” Carl leaves for the fair with Daryl, Lydia, Connie and Henry.

915 - The Calm Before

At the fair, Daryl’s group arrives and reunites with everyone. Daryl sees Dwight and there is some intense staring, but Carol talks him down. After the charter signing, Daryl and Dwight talk, where Daryl agrees to spare him since Carol has vouched for him, but reminds him they will NEVER be friends.

Carl, Dwight and Gavin go with the group scouting for Whisperers. Dwight and Gavin go to Hilltop with Magna and the others while Carl goes with Daryl, Michonne, Carol and Yumiko, where they are captured by Alpha. The pike victims are Alek, DJ, Frankie, Tammy, Rodney, Luke, Edwards, Enid, Tara and Henry. The episode ends the same with Siddiq giving his speech and Carl and Lydia visit Henry's pike.

916 - The Storm

Everything stays the same for the most part. During the scene where Lydia wants Carol to kill her, it almost looks like she is going to, but Carl stands in the way and tells Carol if she kills Lydia, she will have to kill Carl too. Carol refuses to kill either of them. Carl also promises Michonne he is going to come home, after thinking about moving to Hilltop. Carol and Ezekiel still break up, Negan still saves Judith and the season ends the same way it did.

Hope you all enjoyed! Season 10 coming soon!
