The Boondock Bros are a parody of Connor and Murphy MacManus and il Duce portrayed respectively by Sean Patrick Flanery, Norman Reedus and Billy Connolly in The Boondock Saints film series. They are a pair of vigilantes out to rid Boston of crime and corruption.
MacBrover is based on the fictional character Angus MacGyver portrayed by Richard Dean Anderson from the MacGyver TV series, a field agent of Phoenix Foundation and a Vietnam bomb defuser veteran.
Brommando is a parody of the fictional character John Matrix from the 1985 film Commando, which was played by Arnold Schwarzenegger. Matrix is a retired Delta Force commando who holds the rank of colonel. In the film, Matrix fights to rescue his daughter from villains who seek to take over the fictional Latin American country of Val Verde.
