..Lydia. 910 is one of my favorite episodes mostly because of that. They fit so well together as characters, I loved the theme of the episode and it was great to revisit Daryl's origins while giving heavy backstory and development to Lydia.
Cassady Mcclincy is a phenomenal actress and in my opinion she really brought a more complex side for her character compared to the comics, she's one of the best young actors to join the show. Norman Reedus really stepped up this season while killing it episode after episode on all points. It feels like Daryl is made for the Whisperers arc in contrast with both the allies and the villains, his interactions with Lydia were a big improvement compared to the comics and I expect the same thing with Alpha since he knows where Lydia is coming, especially since he's a protector.
I loved that Daryl got under her skin and that later she did the same thing about their similar philosophy and childhood traumas. Her animalistic outburst was so realistic leaving Daryl disappointed but still patient since he sees a younger version of himself in Lydia. It would be a shame not to develop this relationship more in the upcoming seasons since it's a very interesting and compelling one. Daryl paying his sins of not being able to protect the other kids (like Sophia, Beth and Carl) by doing that with Lydia and her finding in Daryl a father figure since her dad was the good guy.
