Sad Reality: There is probably NOT going to be a final CRM crossover spin-off/movie, and CRM will only be involved and concluded in SUMMIT.-UNR

Mild Leaks Ahead… TL;DR at the end.

  1. CRM’s involvment in the franchise: So I want to let it be known that CRM has only ever really been involved with rick. From season 8-9, they were only seen with rick or jadis, which eventually ended with rick AND jadis leaving in the CRM helicopter in season 9, which isn’t seen again until the final scene WITH RICK, in season 11. World beyond a purpose was to literally set up CRM for RICKS MOVIES, which are now a 6 episode shows. For fear the walking dead, Scott gimple said their purpose in fear was to give Althea a love storyline, which makes sense because they were only ever seen involving Althea. so now that Althea (and her girlfriend) have left the show, CRM aren’t really seen or hinted at anymore ( https://comicbook.com/tv-shows/amp/news/the-walking-dead-universe-three-shows-different-piece-puzzle-crm-rick-grimes-movie-scott-gimple/ ). Now for the involvement in future spin-offs (this is where mild leaks come in), things about the plot and set photos have only shown them involved in Summit. For Dead City, the leaks have said that the main villain that has kidnapped hershel in only a former savior who was wronged by Negan (hence the missing ear) https://youtu.be/ECRcJX-2l1M (this guy got everting right about the final 8 episode of TWD, got it right that fear was ending with season 8, was the first person to report that 2 Daryl seasons would film back to back, etc… Due to this, it’s likely that the kidnapping of hershel is not a deep CRM/Padre connection, but just a simple grudge towards Maggie and Negan. With him being a former savior, he probably knows how much Negan has hurt Maggie and how much hershel mean to Maggie, so he is kidnapping hershel to force Maggie to trade the person she hates for the person she loves. Also with Dead City, the group that serves the main villain all wearing gear and using vehicles that is far from things military - let alone CRM - would use. They wear trench coats and spiky biker helmets like amateurs, and put spikes all over their vehicles, which have NO SYMBOLS. With the Daryl Show, he is fighting a military type group but it is definitely NOT CRM. They have a different symbol that represents a flame rather than 3 circles, they wear more blue and grey out fits instead of all black, they don’t wear helmets like CRM, they have more standard weapons instead of the advanced ones CRM use, they have older and more run down vehicles WITH the different flame symbol while CRM has fresher and more shiny trucks. Meanwhile with summit, people playing CRM soldiers are taking pictures with people all over the place, you see tons of CRM weapons that match their weapons in world beyond, Tom of vehicles which all have CRM symbols, CRM Consignees… Plus, Summit is the only one to have ANY CRM promotion in it, with the most notable one being the TWDU 2023 trailer showing dead city having the Statue of Liberty, Daryl having the Eiffel Tower, and summit having a CRM helicopter flying to a CRM logo - this being the only one to have CRM promotion.

TL;DR Basically, no leaks or promotion have indicated CRM involvement in anything other than SUMMIT.

  1. another reason I think think we aren’t getting a massive crossover it’s looking like (based on interviews and plot points) that these spin offs aren’t meant to set up new stories, but conclude them. It’s already widely know that the Summit show will conclude Rick and Michonne’s stories, but what’s lesser know is that Daryl’s spin off will conclude Daryl’s, and the fear characters will conclude on fear. In an interview months back, Norman Reedus said he want the Darryl spin-off to give Daryl a PROPER ENDING ( https://screenrant.com/walking-dead-daryl-spinoff-norman-reedus-satifying-ending/ ). At wonder con this year, they said every character in fear will have their story CONCLUDED in fears final season ( https://twitter.com/julianexcalibur/status/1639744745466650625?s=46&t=U_ctyzGyk45x9Hel_QLNcA ). Lennie James also said today that his story will be concluded on Fear (specifically that he will miss playing Morgan, but is excited about retirement) which adds to the previous statement ( https://www.gamesradar.com/fear-the-walking-dead-lennie-james-morgan-fate/?utm_campaign=socialflow&utm_content=sfx&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_medium=social ). With all of this, it’s not completely out of realm for negan and Maggie’s stories to be concluded in Dead City, which I could easily see being that - after fighting for 2 seasons about - Negan finally agrees to give himself up to the villain for hershel and dies, which gives Glenn “justice”, and Maggie a happy ending with her son. TL;DR Basically, all these upcoming spin offs are ending character stories instead in setting up new one - likely meaning they won’t show up again after them - which makes it likely that there will be no giant crossover movie or show because all of these characters would (probably) not be possible to see again in a crossover since their stories are ending.

  2. I want to shortly state that when they call the franchise “The Walking Dead Universe”, Universe probably is NOT meant as an overarching story, but rather multiple separate stories that take place in the same Dead world. Also, a simple explanation is that they wanted to give the franchise a cool name instead of calling it a franchise.

  3. if they were going to make to make crossover movies against CRM, they would have done the high budget ones they were making about them and their most popular character in the franchise (rick). This would have brought the most money and impact possible since they would have been HIGH BUDGET MOVIES ABOUT CRM AND RICK. But now they lost that chance by turning them into a miniseries that concludes ricks story, (probably) loosing the chance to make a profitable movie since they are loosing the one character in a miniseries that would have made crossover movies profitable.

Overall their (PROBABLY) isn’t going to be a giant crossover CRM Event since the spin-offs are all about ending their stories and not seeing them again. Plus CRM has only had involvement with Rick, Jadis, or a love story for Althea, so now that Althea left Fear and got her happy ending, and rick and (probably) jadis are getting concluded Stories in Summit, CRM has served their purpose of bringing rick back and will therefore (likely) get their story concluded in Summit, with no involvement in any of the other spin offs since there hasn’t been any leaks or promotion indicating otherwise.
