In Trailer #3, once Sam "respawns", he finds himself back in his suit with the baby canister, right where he died to the explosion (now a crater).
The scene is almost beat-for-beat the same as was shown in Trailer #1 - only there Sam is naked and the Baby has lost its Pod - which causes him a great deal of grief.
It seems like the Baby, having lost its protective shell, is dying, or rather transforming into one of the invisible handprint entities we saw in Trailer #3.
Since we know there is only one Baby, it seems like a pretty pivotal moment in the game. (No more Hazard Palm detector thingy after this point!)
It seems to me that Trailer #1 is either showing the very last portion of the game (not least because I don't see you playing as naked Norman Reedus, MGS2 notwithstanding)...
...or the scene doesn't actually happen like this in the final game. Personally I think Trailer #1 is purely an early mood piece. It hints at the "respawn" mechanic, the handprint "death-counter" on Sams body, the baby and the five mysterious beings. (It doesn't make sense to show the same image of them floating menacingly twice)
