Respect: Carol-UNR
Given the recent announcement of her departure from the spinoff series with Daryl, as well as the nature of her role in season 11, I wanted to take a moment to appreciate Carol's character and all that she's given to the series over the last 10+ years. Fair warning that I'll also be criticizing the show regarding why I think it hasn't respected this character.
From a writing standpoint, Carol has the single best character arc out of the entire cast, and it's not even close. I remember when I first started watching the show years ago (I think there were six seasons at that point) and one of my friends remarked that her favorite character was Carol. At the time, I had only watched a little more than the first season, and my response was "who?" I was astonished when she answered that it was the woman with the short hair, whose abusive husband had died early on. That is how different Carol is in the beginning of the show. Rick is great from the start. Daryl is great from the start. Michonne is great from the start. But Carol, while sympathetic, takes a long time to be engaging. This is a huge part of what makes her great, because there will come a time when you're watching the story unfold and have the sudden realization that this is a very different woman from the one introduced to us in the first season (probably will happen for most viewers sometime during season 3). She grows stronger than anyone would have expected, and this is true for both the audience watching the show and for the characters within it.
While her growth becomes notable during season 3, it is season 4 that first allows Carol to truly shine. I find the title of season 4 episode 3, "Indifference", to be one of the most effective and underrated in the show. This episode shows the flip side to Carol's development; she is strong and resilient, yes, but she has also grown emotionally detached and indifferent. This is the reason Rick banishes her. Not simply because she killed Karen and David, but because of her response to her own actions. She is indifferent to the fact that she killed them, she is indifferent to the fate of the young couple that she and Rick encounter on the road, and she even takes on an indifferent attitude towards her own past abuse. To Rick, this change in her is frightening. It may not be the most exciting episode in the show's run, but thematically, "Indifference" is certainly one of the most brilliant. I don't think I need to go into detail about season 4 episode 14, "The Grove," and how in this episode Carol gave us one of the most gut-wrenching storylines and Melissa McBride one of the show's best performances. This episode is universally praised among the fanbase as being one of the show's best.
For entirety of the show's peak , which I will consider to be seasons 4-6, Carol's storylines are consistently some of the best and most important. It is around this time that she begins to receive the second most screen time next to Rick (yes, even more than Daryl). I believe this continues until season 8. The Terminus storyline, the introduction to Alexandria storyline, and the short Wolves storyline all heavily involve Carol. The beginning of the Negan storyline does as well, because even though she is not a part of the lineup at the end of season 6, she does receive one of the show's best bottle episodes (season 6 episode 13, "The Same Boat) where her and Maggie face off against a subset of Negan's group. While her relevance does slow down for seasons 7 and 8, I will point out that her storyline is still one of the better written ones, even if it is less exciting. Seasons 7 and 8 are all about her working towards inner peace, and the vehicle through which they have her achieve this is The Kingdom. Her relationship with Ezekiel is important, but the storyline is more about her falling in love with the entire thing: Ezekiel, Henry, and The Kingdom itself. As ridiculous as she finds Ezekiels act at the start of season 7, she eventually grows enamored by it all the same. This is why she goes spiraling back to a bad place after Henry dies and The Kingdom falls, and why her relationship with Ezekiel falls apart. Her little fantasy life has shattered ("I'll never forget the fairy tale").
I've gone on for a long time at this point, so I'm going to try and wrap it up. I think I've touched on the most major reasons that I find Carol to be such a great character, and so important to the success of the show. Season 11 heavily sidelines her, and there are two arguments that I've seen that try to excuse this fact: 1) she was a huge focus of season 10, and the show runners want to make time for characters who have been less prominent in the past and 2) she was intended to receive her own spinoff show with Daryl. Regarding argument 1, I feel like all I need to point out is this: Daryl and Negan were a huge focus of season 10 as well, and yet they haven't been sidelined in season 11. If they had to push important characters to the background to allow some of the others to shine, then why Carol, and not Negan and/or Daryl? I could have accepted her having a diminished role from season 10, but she has gotten next to nothing. The most loyal (and arguably most talented) actress on the show, who plays one of the best characters on the show, has received barely any material. FOR THE FINAL SEASON. It's the final season, and Carol is one of the two remaining OG cast members, and she has received barely any material. I know I keep repeating myself, but it's just baffling to me. I'm especially baffled by how quick the show was to replace her as the lead female with Maggie, when Maggie was never nearly as strong of a character and Lauren Cohen tried to leave the show two seasons ago.
Regarding point 2 above, I understand that the situation regarding the spinoff is probably nobody's fault. Although, I do have to admit that I wonder how the studio would have responded if Norman Reedus had had a conflict with their plan, instead of Melissa McBride. But that's a rabbit hole I won't go down because we really don't have any real information about what went on there. I will say that I think this change from a Daryl/Carol show to a solo Daryl show does not bode well for the spinoff (and things weren't really boding well for the spinoff to begin with). I love Daryl, but he's hardly interesting enough to carry an entire show by himself. He's been a lacking leading man in the last few seasons when compared to Rick, because Daryl simply functions better when he receives a little less of the spotlight (at least in my opinion).
Anyway, I'll wrap up this post here because again, it's gone on for a while. I wanted to take some time to really appreciate Carol's character before the show wraps up.
Norman Reedus sullo spin-off di Daryl: "Sarà completamente diverso da The Walking Dead"-UNR
Per Norman Reedus, lo spin-off su Daryl ci farà vedere cose completamente nuove rispetto a quanto già visto in passato in The Walking Dead.

New Actors You'd Like to See as a Son (Or Mayan)-UNR
Regardless of however such a character may come into existence, be it a new SOA show about a different charter, the next season of Mayans, or First 9 spin-off, who are some new actors you'd like to see don the cut and play a Son?
By "new" actors I mean those who've had no prior association with either show. In case a million people wanted to say that they wanted to see Charlie Hunnam.
Personally I'd like to see Michael Biehn as some Sons charter president, Norman Reedus as a Nomad, and since they're allowing black dudes now Idris Elba as a London Charter member

[REQUEST] [STEAM] Death Stranding for $27.99-UNR
What is Death Stranding Death Stranding is an action game developed by Kojima Productions. It is the first game from director Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions after their split from Konami in 2015. It was published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4 in November 2019 and by 505 Games for Windows in July 2020. A director's cut version was released for the PlayStation 5 in September 2021, followed by a release for Windows in March 2022.
The game is set in the United States following a cataclysmic event which caused destructive creatures to begin roaming the Earth. Players control Sam Porter Bridges (Norman Reedus), a courier tasked with delivering supplies to isolated colonies and reconnecting them via a wireless communications network. Alongside Reedus, the game features actors Mads Mikkelsen, Léa Seydoux, Margaret Qualley, Troy Baker, Tommie Earl Jenkins, and Lindsay Wagner, in addition to the likenesses of film directors Guillermo del Toro and Nicolas Winding Refn as supporting characters.
I have been wanting this game for a long time and it’s on sale. If anyone could get it for me you wouldn’t know how much it would mean to me. It would mean the world to me. I know it’s not likely that I get it but thank you if you do.

3g Albino Penis Envy trip report-UNR
So this was my first trip on shrooms, yesterday I asked about dosage of APEs and Albino Jedi MindFuck - a friend from work got me 7g of each.
We didn’t want a mild trip, but we also didn’t want full ego death, so we would stick with 2g of the APE, or 3g of AJMF
Me and my wife decided to go with the Jedi, as we read Penis Envy can be quite challenging. Guess what? I screwed up, mixed the packages and we ended up taking 3g of APEs.
It was around 12h40 pm, we cut the shrooms into smaller pieces and ate them plain, with some dark chocolate. I realized I had fucked up while I was eating the first bites, I saw the AJMF package closed and I was like “shit this is the wrong mushroom”. My wife laughed and said “let’s just go for it”.
12h50 - I was already feeling light headed, so was her. We put on some South Park on TV to wait for the come up.
13h20 - I started feeling nauseous, not unbearable but it was annoying. My wife put on some playlist on Spotify and we went to the bedroom, our pets came along. We were in bed petting our dogs and listening to music, nausea was getting better.
13h40 - the room was breathing on its own. I started seeing my ceiling spin, my wife said she was feeling weird and couldn’t describe how so.
14h - at this point I was already seeing shapes everywhere, and I had a feeling I was being pushed into a void. The room was getting darker.
14h20 - my wife was not well, she said she was feeling too nauseous, but didn’t want to vomit. I tried to comfort her, I got up to get her some water and nearly smashed my head on the wall. One of our cats came with me, then started vomiting hair balls and it was a really bad timing, the horror of the scene made me want to vomit, I started gagging uncontrollably, my wife yelled from our bedroom to check on me, I said “DON’T COME OVER, MITCHELL THREW UP”. Of course she came anyway, we ended up gagging together, nearly vomiting on the floors.
14h30 - after finally cleaning up the mess, we managed to get ourselves some water and got back to bed.
14h50 - I felt like Norman Reedus on Death Stranding. Something was pulling me down on a pitch black tar pool, I felt I was being sent into this darkness, I tried to stay calm but I started making gurgling noises, I couldn’t speak.
15h - my breathing was heavy, I looked panicked and I was seeing a hooded figure everywhere. Our dogs started to freak out, my wife got worried for them, and started trying to calm me down.
15h20 - after finally managing to calm myself, the dogs stopped freaking out and I played with them on the bed. I remember I never felt so connected to them, it was like I was able to communicate with them mentally - they are not well trained but for some reason I managed to make all of them sit, lay and jump with minimal effort. My wife was crying tears of joy watching us.
15h40 - so much colours, so many shapes. The hooded figure disappeared for good and at this point I had a sudden burst of energy, I wanted to dance, to laugh, to scream. I put on a happier playlist and just started to enjoy myself. The floor was pure rainbow, it was like crossing the bridge to Asgard.
16h - everything moved, the room changed colours according to what was on TV, it was amazing to watch. I was dancing uncontrollably.
16h20 - I couldn’t stop laughing, I went to the bathroom, and when I was washing my hands, I looked in the mirror and realized I’m actually a good looking guy, why couldn’t I see this when growing up? I took off my clothes and kept staring at myself, I was mesmerized by my own butt. I got a boner. I wanted to fuck myself - I started spinning in circles like a dog chasing his own tail. I was determined to have sex with my own self. I even took some lube and a condom, if I came inside myself I could get pregnant.
16h40 - when I finally gave up the idea of having sex with myself, the boner got away and I thought I would check on my wife. I went to our room and she was transformed into a potato. She was in fetal position staring at a point in the room, our dogs beside her. I laid down with her, we cuddled, the dogs slept.
17h - my wife fell asleep, and I was still going nuts. I decided to use her AirPods and go to our balcony to get some air.
17h10 - after finally being able to set up the AirPods on my phone, which was a gargantuan effort, I went to the balcony and decided to light up a joint. Worst idea ever.
17h30 - I finished the joint, then the void came back. Weather was good, I could see the sun, but I felt like it was raining, I laid down, couldn’t move. I started crying because I missed my father, I wanted to hug him so bad (we live in different countries)
17h50 - I tried to call my dad, but I couldn’t manage to dial or open WhatsApp to video call him, I gave up. I just kept listening to music and thinking about how the world is really just a bunch of atoms mashed up together. The hooded guy came back and kept staring at me. I remember thinking “fuck it, if I die, I die”
18h - I went back inside, I could feel the effects were starting to ease, but I was still getting visuals, the hooded guy followed me.
18h30 - my wife woke up, told me she had the worst dream, and was glad it was over. And I was still seeing stuff moving, but the hooded guy went away. My wife made me drink orange juice, which I thanked her for, this seemed to make things slow down, which was awesome. I felt good.
19h - we decided to barbecue, I spent the rest of the trip watching my wife grill and playing with our dogs in the balcony
Shit, that was intense, I tripped on acid before but this was a whole other level. I’ll definitely try it again, but I think I’ll go with tea for the next one, seeing my cat puke while being nauseous myself on the come up was not cool… and I have to keep myself away from mirrors, otherwise I’ll get caught in a loop lol

What if SUPERKIND Saejin actually exists?-UNR
I don't know anything about them and just saw the MV, but that made me wonder if they "simply" took a 3d scan of an existing person, rigged it (= creating a 3d skeleton which is required for animating the model) and used motion capture to bring it to life. The way he looks reminds me of stuff like Keanu Reeves in Cyberpunk 2077 or Norman Reedus and Mads Mikkelsen in Death Stranding: Looking very real but at the same time...not. They did motion capture for body movements and facial animation in those cases and moreover used the actors' voice recordings for the characters.
If they go with this method they could also simply use the real Saejin's voice, given the assumption that he's a singer.
The company beforehand was involved with deepfakes so they could have the competencies to pull this off. Given this background tho, I could also imagine that (if he exists) the real Saejin doesn't look that much like the 3d Saejin, and they merged the mo-cap of the real dude with the 3d model they created (kinda like here to give you an example).
One a sidenote: He's not an AI per definition. So far he has not shown any form of intelligent behavior ... He's just an animated 3d model. Even if they put him in interviews, he stays a puppet, not an AI.
In conclusion: I could imagine that Saejin is a real person - if he now looks similar to the 3d char or not. Would also make the choreography part easier, if it's a dude in mo-cap suit who dances with them. Saejin could basically be the body of a dancer + the voice of a singer + the face of a 3d model.
But obviously the most shocking plot twist would be that he's an actual idol who was turned into a 3d char. One could even use this in their lore - Over time, 3d Saejin "will become more and more real and ultimately find his humanity" or sth (and the 3d guy will be replaced with the real guy). Someone pitch this idea in their Twitter game where fans are asked to create the plot for the new mv lol.
I guess we'll know more IF they release a making of/mv behind (I kinda doubt there will be one).
What's your thoughts?
also disclaimer: I'm in no way an expert. Just a gamer with big interest and some insights in 3d stuff.

[Video games] Kojima and Konami Go to War-UNR
Strap the fuck in.
Today I will be tackling one of the most infamous events in recent gaming history, one that resulted in the destruction of a very well-known video game publisher’s reputation, and a permanent breakup with one of the developers who helped this publisher become as big and beloved as they were before all of this happened.
A lot of the info here comes from SVG’s article about the Konami and Kojima split, which was made with the benefit of hindsight and thus paints a better picture of what went down than anything from 2015. I’ve also added in other URLs that include information important to the post:

The Main Characters
So in case you've been living under a rock for the past three and a half decades or don’t know what a video game even is, here’s some introductions to the main characters of today’s post.
Konami is one of the biggest and oldest third-party video game developers with a giant list of IPs that is only really rivaled by the likes of Nintendo, Capcom, and Sega. Metal Gear, Castlevania, Silent Hill, Contra, DanceDanceRevolution, Yu-Gi-Oh, Bomberman, Bloody Roar, Suikoden, Frogger, etc. Even if you aren’t into video games, you likely know of at least one of these IPs.
As for Hideo Kojima? One of the most acclaimed game developers of all time, only surpassed by Shigeru Miyamoto himself in terms of accomplishments and recognizability. He’s the guy who created the Metal Gear series, which revolutionized storytelling in video games and stealth-based action gameplay, and to this day is a widely sought-after talent in the video game industry.
Up until little more than half a decade ago, Kojima was Konami’s star player, second to no one. But there’s no use in beating around the bush right now because anyone familiar with the two are probably aware of the falling out and breakup between Kojima and Konami in 2015, which just so happens to be the subject of today’s post, and one that is gonna be a very long and very rough ride in general.
So as I said at the beginning, strap the fuck in.
Konami in the New Century
The best starting point for all of this is probably going to be in the late 1990s/early 2000s. Kojima made a big name for himself with the smash success of Metal Gear Solid for the original PlayStation, and followed it up with the equally successful Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, both for the PlayStation 2. Even outside of this, the fifth and sixth generations proved to be a very successful time for Konami as a whole; the first four Silent Hill games gave Konami a foothold against Capcom’s Resident Evil in the survival horror genre, Castlevania codified the modern-day Metroidvania with Symphony of the Night and the Game Boy Advance games, and they had acquired a stake in Hudson Soft in 2001, which would eventually transform into a full-blown acquisition by 2012.
Now let’s jump forward several years, this time to the seventh generation of consoles, those being the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the Wii. Konami wasn’t doing as well as they had been doing during the previous two generations. Team Silent, the group behind the first four Silent Hill games, had been disbanded after the release of Silent Hill 4: The Room, which resulted in the IP being shopped around to various developers and in general losing a lot of the prestige that it had gained. Meanwhile, Castlevania was undergoing something of an identity crisis, as Koji Igarashi’s Xbox 360/PlayStation 3 game ended up being scrapped amidst a harsh development, and ended up being replaced by MercurySteam’s Castlevania: Lords of Shadow.
Kojima though? He was still going strong during this time period. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots had been released on the PlayStation 3 to critical and commercial success, and he finally managed to lobby hard enough to get Solid Snake into Super Smash Bros. Brawl, which released several months before Metal Gear Solid 4. One important thing to note about Metal Gear Solid 4 though, is that Kojima took something of a break from active game direction around this time. While he did work on Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker for the PlayStation Portable and Snake Eater 3D for the Nintendo 3DS, both were smaller efforts than 4 was, and during this period of not directing any major console games, Kojima tried his hand at producing games from other franchises instead.
Kojima took a producing role on the aforementioned Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, and his support was basically instrumental in making sure the game got released. Until the point of his involvement, Konami was considering pulling the plug on Lords of Shadow altogether, but having a high-level advocate in the form of Kojima basically allowed for MercurySteam to work on the game while Kojima dealt with the producing end of things. Lords of Shadow was a success, becoming the bestselling Castlevania game ever made, and earned itself a spinoff on the Nintendo 3DS as well as a sequel in 2014. So with that in mind, it made sense that Kojima would do the same for other franchises.
Winds of Change
2011 marked a banner year for Hideo Kojima, as in April of that year, he was promoted to Executive Vice President and Corporate Officer of Konami Digital Entertainment, the division of Konami devoted to video game development. Not only that, but 2011 was also the year in which the Fox Engine was shown off. Developed with the intention of being the “best game engine in the world”, it would be the technology that Kojima’s future projects would be running on, and eventually, Konami’s games as a whole. Initially, it was meant to be used for a new installment in the Zone of the Enders series, but the failure of the remastered collection resulted in the game being shelved indefinitely. Thus, it was decided that Kojima’s debut game with the Fox Engine would be the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V, which was shown off in 2013 as the big “next-gen” Metal Gear game.
Going back to how Kojima was beginning to shepherd other Konami franchises, it was in 2012 when he first gave public indication that he was interesting in working on a new installment in the Silent Hill series. By this point, the reputation of the series was in the gutter, as the failed “Month of Madness” earlier that year resulted in Silent Hill: Book of Memories, a PlayStation Vita spinoff no one cared for, Silent Hill: Downpour, which was considered mediocre at best, and the Silent Hill HD Collection, which is widely considered to be one of the worst video game remasters of all time. So Kojima being involved in the series seemed to be the shot in the arm that Silent Hill desperately needed.
In 2014, a mysterious game titled P.T. popped up on the PS4 store and was available to be downloaded for free, developed by the unheard of 7780s Studio. Players who played P.T. found themselves playing a very frightening but very well-made horror game, but the real kicker was what came at the end: “P.T.” stood for “Playable Teaser” - one for an upcoming reboot of the Silent Hill series titled Silent Hills, and 7780s Studio was a pseudonym for Kojima Productions. The game was going to be co-directed by Hideo Kojima and acclaimed filmmaker Guillermo Del Toro, feature the work of horror manga writer and artist Junji Ito, and have Norman Reedus of The Walking Dead portray the player character, thus giving Silent Hills a veritable dream team of talent behind it. To say that fans embraced P.T. was an understatement; people were quick to call it one of the best horror games of all time, and Silent Hills instantly became one of most anticipated games at the time.
Everything was going well for Kojima, fans of Konami’s franchises, and Konami themselves…until it wasn’t.
A Hideo Kojima game
The first sign of trouble came during March of 2015. Konami announced that it was going to be revamping its game development division completely, ditching the studio structure that is the standard within the game industry, and moving towards a system that put the company directly in charge of the gaming sector. There was also an announcement about the formation of a new executive board the day after the restructuring was announced, and it is here where things begin to look shady. As mentioned before, Kojima had been the vice president of Konami’s gaming division, and yet he wasn’t named in either of these announcements. Did he get passed over? Did he decline a promotion? Or was there a feud between him and Konami?
People wouldn’t have to wait long for the answer. On March 16 of that year, as the corporation restructuring of Konami’s gaming division was put into action, Kojima’s name was erased from all of the assets they had owned; Kojima Productions Los Angeles was renamed to Konami Los Angeles Studio, Kojima’s name got removed from the website and all promotional materials relating to Metal Gear Solid V, despite the series effectively being his baby and him being Konami’s star player. At this point, it was a matter of “when” and not “if” Kojima and Konami were going to go their separate ways, which was confirmed by a damning GameSpot article that painted a very grim picture of what was going on at Konami.
To summarize GameSpot’s article in short, Kojima was going to be parting ways with Konami after the release of Metal Gear Solid V. Him and any senior staff associated with him were now considered “contractors” rather than full-time employees, and were also being limited in terms of how they were allowed to communicate with the company, essentially being barred from Konami’s internet and taken off their email list. Not only that, but unbeknownst to everyone at the time, it was later revealed that Kojima had been separated from his entire studio during the last six months of V’s development, being set to work on a different floor from everyone else and effectively isolated at Konami.
The reasons as to why there was a fallout between Kojima and Konami have never been publicly confirmed. People have speculated that one reason was because of the rise of the mobile market, of which Konami had seen lots of success from as a result of the game Dragon’s Collection. Other people put blame more on Kojima, as he had been rumored to have been overspending on Metal Gear Solid V, such as hiring actor Kiefer Sutherland to voice the role of Big Boss/Venom Snake. The truth probably lies somewhere in the middle, but regardless of what happened, none of it justified how Konami treated Kojima during these last six months of development.
To add insult to injury, Konami decided it wasn’t enough that they were getting flack for how they were currently treating Kojima, and decided to throw even more salt into the wound. In April of 2015, Konami announced the sudden cancellation of Silent Hills, in a move that basically marked the death knell for the Silent Hill franchise when it came to video games. Not only that, but Konami was spiteful enough to not only remove P.T. from the PlayStation Network, but to not even make it available for reinstalling if you didn’t have it currently installed. If their reputation wasn’t in the toilet before that, it certainly was then. To this day, P.T. is only playable legally if you buy a PS4 that already has it installed, with those PS4 consoles usually going for four digit numbers in terms of prices. Even as recently as 2020, Konami was still trying to prevent anyone from accessing it, by blocking people from transferring it from their PS4 consoles to their brand-new PS5s.
But even then, Konami wasn’t done with showing complete and utter disrespect for their fans and their franchises, as a trailer in August of 2015 confirmed that Silent Hill was coming back…as a pachinko machine. For those who are blissfully unaware, pachinko machines are gambling machines popular in Japan, and Konami had been well-situated in the pachinko business for decades. However, this was seen as Konami tripling down on their pettiness and spite, by taking a beloved horror series whose fans they have already disrespected for years, and turning it into a theme for a gambling machine. To many, this was the final nail in the coffin when it came to game development at Konami.
Konami the Slave Driver
And as it turned out, Konami’s treatment of Kojima wasn’t happening in a bubble, as an article from Nikkei revealed some very disgusting practices of Konami in terms of how they treat their employees. Specifically, Konami has security cameras not for security purposes, but to monitor their own employees during work and lunch hours, that Konami reassigns developers to menial jobs such as janitorial duty or security guards if they aren’t seen as useful, that Konami employees don’t have permanent company email addresses, and that Konami monitors employees that left their company and punishes anyone who so as much likes a post of theirs on social media.
But somehow, it gets even worse. In the days after that report, gaming journalist and content creator Jim Sterling (they still go by “Jim Sterling” professionally nowadays) spoke to some sources of theirs that either have connections with/worked at Konami, and it turns out all the stuff that was reported upon by Nikkei was considered to be relatively minor in comparison to stuff that caused “Mental, physical, and emotional damage” (directly stated by Sterling’s source) to the employees of Konami. The source attributed these findings to being the reason why big names like Hideo Kojima, Akira Yamaoka (composer for Silent Hill), and Koji Igarashi (Castlevania developer) ended up leaving the company.
In an episode of the Jimquisition titled “The Silent Hell That Is Konami”, Sterling presented a number of allegations against Konami. These allegations consisted of employees being forced to participate in an “archaic” bureaucratic system if they do anything that costs Konami money; not just stuff like budgets for games, but incredibly minor things like supplies for the workplace, computers to work on, stuff that is standard for any video game developer, except at Konami. They also make it difficult for different teams to even communicate with each other, and set up their structure so that any attempt at communication between employees in different teams would have to go through corporate management.
Sterling was also told that Konami had no respect for their legacy, treating their franchises with as much respect as they did their employees. Not only that, but Konami was also completely incapable of recognizing actual talent; giants like Koji Igarashi, Hideo Kojima, Akira Yamaoka, and Keiichiro Toyama had their contributions downplayed or ignored entirely, and Konami would just pass around franchises like Silent Hill to any developer who would do it cheaply enough. Konami could not comprehend that actual creative passion and talent were needed in order to produce successful games.
#FucKonami
With all of this very dirty laundry now out in the open for everyone to read and hear about, Konami’s reputation was left irreparably damaged among the gaming public. Up until that point, most people’s problems with Konami were usually due to their supposed incompetence, but the revelations about their workplace culture and their feud with Kojima made them as hated as other video game publishers like Electronic Arts and Ubisoft. Konami had shown that they had no respect for their workers, their fans, their properties, and their legacy, so everyone justifiably decided that Konami wasn’t worth shit, with the popular hashtag #FucKonami gaining steam as a way of insulting Konami online.
But did this stop Konami from indulging in their shitty behavior and practices? Not by a longshot. Despite Konami beginning to shift away from console games, they weren’t getting out of the pool just yet, as they announced that a brand-new Metal Gear game was already in production…without the involvement of Hideo Kojima. Many saw this as another kick to Kojima while he was down, by taking the franchise he created and grew and continuing it even after showing him exactly what Konami thought of him and other employees. That game become 2018’s Metal Gear Survive, and has been widely considered to be one of the worst games of its year.
One last kick in the teeth from Konami came after Metal Gear Solid V had been released, as well as after Hideo Kojima had left Konami. At the 2015 Game Awards, Metal Gear Solid V was up for five nominations and won two awards, those being for Best Soundtrack and Best Action-Adventure game. However, in a move that pretty much put the nail in the coffin for Konami’s reputation, they sent Kojima a lawyer representing them and told him that they would not allow him to attend the Game Awards that year and accept any awards for Metal Gear Solid. Not only did this trigger another wave of backlash, but Geoff Keighley (host of the Game Awards) criticized Konami on-air for this and spilled the beans on their barring of Kojima from attending, with the audience then booing Konami live. Konami’s reputation had gone down the toilet so much that even other people in the video game industry were vocally criticizing them for their behavior.
The Aftermath
Throughout this post, it has been stated over and over again that Konami had managed to completely ruin their reputation among audiences and critics for their antics. Kojima, on the other hand, had the inverse happen to him; while he was beloved before, he now considered to be untouchable and his reputation now consisted of near-universal approval from just about anyone in the gaming industry. And a year later, he was able to attend the 2016 Game Awards to accept the Industry Icon Award with a standing ovation from the crowd, something that Konami was now unable to prevent from happening.
In addition to that, Kojima’s separation with Konami now meant that he was free to work on anything and create any kind of game that he wanted, now that he was no longer bound to Konami. With that in mind, he went onstage at PSX 2015 to announce that he was reforming Kojima Productions as an independent studio, and that their first project with this newfound independence would be a game for Sony Interactive Entertainment, which would still see the involvement of Norman Reedus and Guillermo Del Toro. It was revealed at E3 2016 as Death Stranding, and went onto release in 2019 for the PS4.
While Death Stranding was a very “love it or hate it” game, it managed to perform very well commercially, and received a PC port in 2020 and a PS5-enhanced Director’s Cut in 2021. As early as this year, Norman Reedus also let it slip that a sequel was in development, so clearly he’s not having any problems with this new franchise. And just a week and a half ago, he also announced a collaboration with Xbox Game Studios to make an exclusive game for them, which would be using cloud technology in a way similar to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, describing it as a game he’s “always wanted to make”. It seems that despite everything that happened in 2015, he’s still doing good for himself.
In addition, the other developers who were formerly at Konami are also doing pretty well for themselves. Keiichiro Toyama (creator of Silent Hill) left very early on, but joined Sony in the early 2000s and made the Siren and Gravity Rush franchises for them, before leaving and creating Bokeh Game Studios, with their first game being a horror title called Slitterhead. Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill composer) has found consistent work as a composer at Suda51’s Grasshopper Manufacture, and Koji Igarashi managed to crowdfund and release Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, a spiritual successor to Castlevania, with great success, in a contrast to other crowdfunded games like Mighty No. 9 and Star Citizen.
So what of Konami? As I stated above, Metal Gear Survive was released to critical and commercial failure, as did their attempted revival of the Contra series in 2019, Contra: Rogue Corps. Despite this, they did manage to find some success with Super Bomberman R, Momotaru Dentetsu, and collection rereleases for Castlevania and Contra. However, they also turned Pro Evolution Soccer into eFootball 2021, which became another immensely hated game for predatory microtransactions, glitches, and for being a shitty game in general, which did nothing to please any remaining supporters that might or might not exist. There’s also been rumblings about a revival of the Silent Hill series, which had fans excited (out of desperation)...until it was revealed that the revival was being helmed by Bloober Team, known for The Medium and generally not highly thought of by fans of the Silent Hill franchise or survival horror in general. And don’t expect Metal Gear to come back, at least with how Survive failed hard.
So that concludes the long ballad of Konami, Hideo Kojima, and their very ugly, very messy fallout from their feud that resulted in Konami becoming the Japanese equivalent to Electronic Arts.
And once again:

Is The Walking Dead a possible future paragraph?-UNR
I want your opinions if you think it would fit and/or if you think it will happen. I doubt it would be a full chapter unless they did Beta as the killer, but the survivors would be really cool. The legendary skin possibilities are endless and Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon) would more than likely be up to voice him.

ISO of a writing partner for RP in fandoms or original plots, open to discussion-UNR
I've been doing RP off and on since the early '00 years, so I am pretty familiar how things work. I've been in a few RP groups, but they seem to die off shortly after I join, not of my doing, but I have some kind of bad luck, so I am kind of wary of joining a group as of yet. I'd enjoy writing with someone either in fandom RP or a real life centric thing a bit like true crime or fantasy like the apolycalypse, or real life like a small town family and I can do LGBTQ friendly plotlines as well, F/F or M/M, or Bisexual. I'm a boring cishet white person though, so if I mess up on that front, that's probably why. We'd probably write through email, Google docs, I'm learning Discord, and I'm open to suggestions as well. My writing range is probably two to four paragraphs.
I'm in search of anyone over 21, preferably in their 30's, even. I am OK with sex, or NSFW or whatever as long as it furthers the plot, or has a purpose. I do love me my smut, don't get me wrong, but I am particular about my smut, so I'd rather just do a blanket warning here but I'm no prude. Hell, I'm more than happy to just chat shop with you on these fandoms and writing, and plot ideas... anything, really but if you want to just write/chat sex, I'm not your person, try someone else.
The fandoms I am interested in are:
**Harry Potter-** My favorite characters are Snape, Hermione, Draco, Molly Weasley, Narcissa Malfoy, Remus Lupin, Sirius Black.. to give you an idea of my varied interests. I do ship Snape/Hermione, Snape/Narcissa, etc.
**Supernatural-** I only just am mildly interested in this fandom. I'm not deep into it hardcore, but I enjoy Dean, Sam, Cas, Bobby and their dynamics. OC's would work with this.
**The Walking Dead-** I adore Daryl Dixon. I ship Rick/Daryl, Shane or Lori with pretty much anyone, Daryl/Carol, and I adore Merle, Beth, Abraham, Hershel, Michonne, Carol, Negan is OK. I'm a bit weird with the Walking Dead and a bit particular with what happens with these people, so I'll be very picky about this fandom, especially because I do have a thing for Norman Reedus.
**M\*A\*S\*H\*** \- the tv series. I've never seen anything about MASH but what the hell I'm throwing it out. OC's could work with this. I adore Hawkeye and Father Mulcahy, but I'm not a fan of Henry Blake/Trapper Era.
**The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina** I'm just getting into this fandom so bear with me, I am only in season 3, just starting it.
**Star Wars** I adore Obi wan Kenobi and Qui Gon Jinn. I ship them, and I adore Cassian Andor. Diego Luna did such a good job with his character. I do like the original trilogy of Luke, Leia, Han. OC's could work with this.
**Star Trek, or Star Trek the next Generation** I love them all. They're the GOAT of the fandoms if I remember correctly with Kirk/Spock starting it all with the slash fanfiction 'zines way back in the day.
\*\*\*\*\*
Real Life plots:
A general Post-Apocalypse plot. Shit goes down, people die, zombies are killed, and there is a cure in DC and travel has to happen from the west coast to DC.
Small town secret/scandal/mystery/event rocks a small town. The bartender or the priest knows everything or is a snoop and has to find out everything to solve the mystery/scandal with the help of their partner in crime. I'm a true crime addict so this is very flexible.
The Farm Boy next door falls for the Farm Girl next door. Stereotypical, and they have a nice big family in the end. A very sweet plot, I'm particular about this one since farm boy joins the army and I like the idea of them having a nice big family- I've always wanted to be part of one, just not the Duggar type.
A plot where someone escapes a big family or a cult, a bit like what happened with the FLDS. but NOT FLDS though. but yeah. They need to start all over again (with or without kids, partner, whatever). Religion can get weird sometimes but this isn't centered on religion or whatever, just the escape itself and what happens after. can be a big court trial or something or whatever. I'm a true crime junkie, so...
ANYWAY if you have put up with my bullshit so far, you get an award and you can just go ahead and DM me or chat me up so we can kind of get a feel for each other's writing. You always can send a writing sample if you like. I'd imagine we'd chat and write once or twice a week for a minimum and posts would be at least a paragraph or two, make it substantial. No one liners, but I don't expect novellas, either. I do best if it's like on a set schedule kind of thing and I appreciate communicating if shit goes down so I can go find a new partner if needed or whatever, but I'm pretty flexible.

Daryl let out a sigh as he tried to relax. It was difficult to relax, after a long hard day of walking. they had no food, and he still had to get something for the little asskicker, and the boy too. They were walking to DC, and it had been ages since he had caught, trapped, or even shot anything other than a walker. Daryl felt the heat of failure warming him, from the pit of his stomach. It was better than the hunger that had been gnawing at him since they had passed the abandoned ice cream truck a couple days ago. The ice cream had made him remember when Merle'd give him a quarter or two for the ice cream truck on his good days.
"Gonna be okay." Daryl let out a grunt, as his ears caught the rustling sound of hoofprints. He knew that sound, and by hell he'd let it out of his sight. Daryl caught Rick's eye and held out a hand for them to stop. He had finally found food for the family. Heartbeats later, an arrow broke the silence, the quiet meaty thump signaling that they had finally found dinner.
"And I told ya it's gonna be okay." Daryl said with a small smirk finding its way to Rick, his blue eyes meeting Rick's, the hot shame burning in his stomach for other reasons, as he strode through the grass to retrieve the arrow.
*******writing sample 2
Charlie scowled at the books on the shelf. She still couldn't find that book she wanted, and she needed it now. Looking over at the librarian, her eyebrows rose. Mr. Foxworthy wasn't in his usual seat today, it was someone new... and she tried not to run away. It was the person she had embarrassed herself in front of last week, at McCarthy's, when her big brother had pratically poured all those whiskey and cokes down her throat, and she had called the stranger.... beautiful, and thrown up on their biker boots. She had only hoped they didn't recgonize her, she had her hair pulled back, and her faded olive green US ARMY sweater was a nice contrast to the white lace corset she had been wearing that night.
Although...she REALLY needed that book. Cripes. She let out a grunt of frustration, and walked to the front table, summoning up all of that MacGregor pride.
"I'd appreciate some help.. I'm looking for this." a folded slip of paper was politely held out, with the name of the book she had been hunting down, and she really hoped that her appearance wasn't all that familiar.

Unpopular Opinion: Striker is the worst character in this show-UNR
I've made it no secret that I hate Harvest Moon Festival vehemently, mainly because it's a deeply unpleasant Moxxie torture porn, but upon re-watching it, I noticed two more things that made me hate it even more; that Millie's parents are horrible (but that's a discussion for another day), and the topic of this post, that Striker is an empty husk of a villain.
I get that some people don't like Loona (read: children with childish understandings of the characters and their relationships don't like Loona) but at least she has a personality. Striker does not. This is Striker in a nutshell:
Thanks to KyoshiTheBrony on DeviantArt for the renders used to make this
It's no secret that Moxxie is my favorite character, so, logically, I should like a more badass version of him, right?
Short answer: No.
Long answer: Moxxie may be favorite character, but if he was more like Striker, I would be singing a COMPLETELY different tune. Moxxie has flaws like his sense of inadequacy and his insecurity that make him likable and, more importantly, interesting. Striker has none of that; he's just a boring muscle head with as much character as Steppenwolf from the 2017 Justice League movie. I'm only lukewarm on Blitz as a character, but in comparison, he's the Vegeta to Striker's Broly. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that Striker is the Broly of the Hellaverse; a completely shallow - if admittedly badass - villain who the fandom loves unconditionally. Just about the only interesting thing about Striker is his goal of killing Stolas, and that's more of an interesting plot point for the episode - and the rest of the series, as he fails to do that within the episode - more than it's an interesting thing about Striker himself. Sorry Striker fans, but someone had to admit it and it may as well be me. And no, I don't care that he's voiced by Norman Reedus; he could be voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch - my favorite voice actor ever - and I STILL wouldn't like him.
You may respond to this post however you like; I will (probably) not respond to your responses.

NO manual flights in atmosphere is BIGGER than you think-UNR
like many people pointed out, yeah we mostly don't care the part where you goes from high-level atmosphere to the vacuum space. (cuz there is nothing there to see)
However, near-ground airspace can have a a lot of interesting gameplay activities, now we may (potentially) lose some of them.
For example:
- Taking spectacular ariel view of a large city/ground structure
- Scout a small area from above for the best location for an outpost
- Target enemy infantry and ground vehicles using ship guns
- Dogfighting in a valley
- Simply travel from one hill to another to pick up some mineral
- (We are in 2330s, we don't need to walk like Norman Reedus in death stranding)
All in all, I hope Bethesda give us some sort of way to travel short distance by air within a planet, and it cannot be just a loading cutscene. It has to be controlled by player, and can sustain in air for a long amount of time. Like a helicopter or jet

Hideo Kojima Kembali Sukses Buat Penggemar Penasaran Atas Cuitan Twitternya!-UNR
Yok kita ulas bersama!
Sekitar Mengenai Ciutan Hideo Kojima Terkini
A Space Odyssey mengeluarkan bunyi “I’m sorry, Dave. I’m afraid can’t do that.”

Maybe this is an unfair comparison but....-UNR
The acting in Breaking Bad and BCS is totally superior to a lot of performances in TWD, I mean there is a handful of exceptions in TWD, like Jon Bernthal, Andy Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Lauren Cohan, Jeff Dean Morgan, but outside of that.....
When it comes to Gilligan, way I see it, either the vast majority of actors and actresses, regardless of the size of the role, must give kick-ass performances or it's nothing
TWD has been mediocre for years so performances vary

Thoughts on Helluva Boss Season 1?-UNR
My other brain half reminding me of show's issues... help
Any thoughts on Season 1 and how is the show for Viv's first?
These are mine:
Positives
- The official Helluva Boss show is a step up from the pilot, which is my opinion... wasn't all that great. Even rewatching it, it suffers from broken pacing (an unfortunate fatal flaw in this show), some lackluster jokes and character moments. Sometimes the "It's Hell" excuse won't be enough...
- So a lot of people weren't fond of Loo Loo Land being episode 2 when actually it's much better being... well Episode 2. I really REALLY hate the whole "Loo Loo Land should be later in the series" critique because it's better to establish the show's strongest moments early than later. It also helps define Stolas' redeeming qualities earlier in the series and flesh him out before jumping into the big bits.
- I love both the racial and LGBT representation.
- The characters' struggles are shockingly realistic and relatable. Idgaf, I'll defend Blitzo till the day I die.
- Show Stolas is better than Pilot Stolas.
- Millie's charming. Tbh, I'm not bothered by her lack of character development in S1 because... it's S1. It's like that nonsensical critique that the characters lack development in the HH pilot, which is mind you THIRTY MINUTES and pilots are proof of concepts. And no, I don't find Millie as that "strong female character with no character" or "female character that only revolves around love" (I absolutely despise how nowadays female characters loving a man somehow makes them bad... #JusticefortheOldDisneyPrincesses) . In short, I don't think Millie's that bad in S1. She's okay but seeing her in action makes her fun to watch. As long as she gets development later, then I'm perfectly okay with her being a flat character in the first season.
- I love some of the songs. Once the official version of Vacay to Bonetown release... yeah.
- The pacing gets better in Truth Seekers
- Millie and Moxxie are oddly a refreshing couple, like Emily and Josh in Close Enough.
- Good fight scenes
- The ending of Ozzie's is the perfect season finale. 11/10
- Idc what anyone says, I love Viv's character designing
- I like the variety of music styles. From pop music to broadway sounding. I do hope HH will have that too
- One of my biggest issues with the HH pilot is the red color palette. So, I appreciate HB having diverse color palettes, especially when we visit other rings. That's nice
Negatives... sadly there's a lot
- At the beginning of the season, the pacing was too fast. This really shone in episodes like Spring Broken (Spring's not broken, the pacing is)
- Harvest Moon Festival has weird frame rate. Like yikes. I think they blew the budget on Norman Reedus and that ending shot of Striker
- I feel like Viv is more stronger in the character development than she is in story. Like this was sorta one of my other issues with the HH pilot. I love the characters but the story is handled kinda eh.
- Some of the songs are either forgettable (Teacher Song) or weirdly shoehorned in (Sweet Victory). The worst a song can be is boring and that's the greatest crime against musicals
- Not a fan of the excessive cussing. Don't get me wrong, if a character cussing is in character for them, I'm fine with it. But it always takes me aback whenever a character like Moxxie cusses. One or two slip ups, fine but a lot feels a bit out of nowhere. Then again, I could be wrong considering where he lives but go off I guess.
- Moon Bunnies pointed this out and yeah I agree. Truth Seekers feels like it should've been released in S2. As good as the episode is in developing Blitzo and Moxxie, the whole DHORKS stuff feels too early. I feel like Viv really needs to properly map out plot points instead of trying to cram in so many in only seven episodes and hope the next season will properly spread it out.
- Still confusing why in the beginning of Truth Seekers, they already have recycled footage of IMP. Personally, it would've been better if they had sighting pictures, Verosika's flask, reports of missing/dead people, and the dead sea monster corpse.
- Spring Broken and CHERUBS are the weakest episodes when compared to the others. At least with Murder Family, it held some substance for planting seeds for future plot points like Stolas/Blitzo and Blitzo's conflict with Moxxie.
- CHERUBS is a fine episode, no more no less. Yes, I know the CHERUBS are fated to return in Season 2 but other than Collin, I just can't really find myself to care about them. The CHERUBS themselves don't really have character beyond 'spouting angelic shit' and 'being assholes' (except Collin). Which is a shame too because this is our first actual look into Heaven's residents and it feels super underwhelming. I don't hate this episode because it's not story or character driven, I just find it okay for a breather episode. However, I'll give CHERUBS this.. it's is better than The Great Divide from ATLA
- Spring Broken is a mess. Again, I don't hate or straight up dislike any of the episodes, even the weakest episodes I find charming in their own right. I found the whole human disguises plot point interesting, Verosika is one of my favorite characters, I like the whole Chekhov's Gun with Verosika's flask, good to see some insight on Loona, drunk Moxxie's nice and Tex's nice. But the pacing in this episode is ALL over the place to the point there's no real time to process. It just feels like they threw spaghetti at the wall and see what stuck. Loona blowing up at Blitzo is a good scene... but it gets completely ignored and is not brought up again. Even in CHERUBS and Truth Seeker, it feels like the reset button was pressed and Loona and Blitzo's relationship went back to 'normal'. Not to mention the whole 'they can get in trouble for being seen by humanity' felt out of nowhere.
- Weak worldbuilding. So there is a Hellborn species that live differently and more normally than sinners. Okay, so far so good. I get HB is supposed to be revolving around the 'politics' of Hell and places we won't visit in HH and that's interesting. However, I'm still confused on how the size of Hell works. For a place suffering an overpopulation problem, it seems rather big? I dunno if the Extermination applies to only sinners so they only strike at the Pride ring? How big is the Pride Ring if it's suffering overpopulation? Do the Exterminations go to Imp City? Are there any set of rules? Does rules only apply to Hellborn and sinners live a more anarchy lifestyle?
And that's all I got. So far, I think HB season 1 is solid but lacking in certain areas. Hopefully, S2 will be the case where it's better than S1 and properly iron out these issues. I also hope that HH won't face these problems seeing there's more resources.

Death Stranding 2 Leak: Hideo Kojima Playfully Rebukes Norman Reedus-UNR

Would you watch an Outsiders (1983) Reunion?-UNR
Concept: reunite the actors who played the original Outsiders
Cast: Emilio Estevez, Matt Dillon, Ralph Macchio, C. Thomas Howell, Tom Cruise, Rob Lowe
Note: obviously, a cast member is missing being deceased (Patrick Swayze, r.i.p)
Approach: could be one of a few. A pseudo-sequel, a soft reboot, a parody... the show doesn't even have to be called the Outsiders or feature a group called the Outsiders. All that matters is the actors. Six is probably pushing the limits but if four could be reunited for at least a quarter of the project, that's something I'd want to watch.
Format: doesn't have to be a theatrical release. Could be a mini-series. Maybe something in the style of Riding with Norman Reedus.
Who I think would return: Ralph Macchio and Rob Lowe seem like they have a fond connection to their past as Outsiders. Emilio is a little iffy and I don't really know what's going on with Howell. Tom Cruise is such big shot, a lot of factors would have to come together before I believe he would participate. Similar to Howell, I'm not really sure what Matt Dillon is doing. He might be into it if this happened though. As mentioned before, a cast member is deceased, so I wouldn't expect a full cast reunion.
What do you think about the acting of Christian Serratos?-UNR
When I see her act, I can’t get lost in her acting. Unlike the acting of Jeffree Dean Morgan, Lauren Cohen, or Norman Reedus. I’ve also recently watched the Selena series on Netflix that Christian is the lead in and this series makes me feel the same way regarding her acting. I feel like Christian isn’t captivating enough or charismatic enough as an actress. I honestly can’t see her getting many big acting roles after The Walking Dead. If any big acting roles after The Walking Dead.

What did you miss on your first playthrough?-UNR
As the title says, what things did you miss out on in your first playthrough of Death Stranding?
I'm a bit into my second playthrough, this time on hard difficulty, and this is the first time I've seen the "Ride" variation of the Reverse Bike, which can carry more cargo and has a longer battery life than the normal bike (but not as much as Transporter and Long Range), but also has occasional voicelines of Sam saying things like "Wow, this bike is so cool, It should appear on Ride with Norman Reedus".
