Hey guys, I just woke up a few minutes ago. I slept really well and besides some other stuff, I dreamed of a new Silent Hill game reveal. Have to make it quick because I’m already forgetting some of it. I don‘t remember on which event it happened, but it was awesome and in my dream, I could really feel the excitement of the everyone as it happened. So here are a few impressions:

It started with with a black screen and a sound compilation of different noises: A rustling radio announcement with a deep voice that talks about failures in the past, then the sounds got louder, there were noises of past Silent Hill enemies, it peaked with Lisa‘s crying from the P.T. demo and the screams of the baby in the sink.

The audience went absolutely wild, messages in live chat we’re coming in so fast you could barely read anything anymore. Then we saw the first footage, it was someone going up a basement‘s stairs. As the trailer went on we saw the faces of various new characters, Norman Reedus was also back and for some reason, there was also Sean Bean from the Silent Hill movie.

Over the footage of a foggy town, the large letters of “Silent Hills” started to emerge, with a new letter appearing every five seconds. The music in the trailer was truly unsettling, there were creepy creatures, including the one with the long arms from the TGS 2014 trailer.

The trailer ended with the logo fully visible, the Silent Hill theme with synthesisers and guitars started. Release: “2023” on PS5, Xbox Series X and PC. Within a few hours, the trailer became the most viewed trailer of the event on YouTube. I don’t remember which studio was behind the new game, but everyone was grateful Konami finally allowed a studio to work on the IP, while giving them complete freedom to do the series justice. During the entire day, the excitement and hype was finally there.
