Lauren Cohan, who plays Maggie Greene on The Walking Dead, revealed at CinemaCon in Las Vegas on Tuesday night that she will indeed be returning to the AMC drama.
While stars Andrew Lincoln and Norman Reedus had previously signed on for season 9 - which begins filming next week - Cohan had been a holdout as she negotiated for a better deal.
"I'm going back," Cohan told EW. "There's a lot more Maggie story to tell." As for what viewers can expect? "You know we're not allowed to tell you anything, but it's good," she teased.
The status of Whiskey Cavalier - in which Cohan plays Francesca "Frankie" Trowbridge, a CIA operative who must work with FBI agent Will Chase - and whether it will receive a series order from ABC is still unclear, but since The Walking Dead starts filming next week, Cohan would most likely have at least two months free before having to begin working on the new show, and perhaps much longer than that if, for example, the ABC program becomes a midseason entry and starts filming later.
Of course, if Whiskey Cavalier is not picked up all, then Cohan would be free to film the entire season of The Walking Dead, since the zombie drama's shooting schedule usually ends in early December.
Whether Cohan's return to the show is merely short-term or long-term, at least the writers will now not have to worry about leaving the dangling thread from the season 8 finale in which Maggie expressed anger over Rick's refusal to kill Negan and vowed to show him and Michonne how wrong their decision was.

Coïncidently I saw a topic just below that talks about "playing the cameran being Norman Reedus". Knowing from past MGS game that Kojima ALWAYS has had a very meta approach of gameplay and cinematic (like basically breaking the 4th wall), I think the whole idea of Death Stranding revolves around tying the deepest possible, the player to the character(s).
Judging from the few interviews of Kojima there's been on DS, the them of life and death stranding but also the interconnection of every being, I think that what's new in terms of game design in DS is that the game won't be build around the idea of independant game time, saves or checkpoints, but rather is built solely on the meta-interaction of player with the video-game.
Basically: like the luden, we are considered us player as being 4th+ dimensional being, that can skip from a screen to another, change in size or in "vision" but from a game camera and narrative perspective. I think the game is based on the idea that we are luden that are trying to help the character escape from the other ludens with the same meta-approach, basically like an abstract external omniscient being that we've kind of been using in video-games or cinema.

It was just announced that Konami will be ending their decade-long relationship with UEFA. Having the UEFA license was one of the cornerstones of their yearly Pro Evolution Soccer. Having the UEFA license was one of the few things PES had over their rivals, EA's FIFA.
“The UEFA Champions League licence has given us a platform to create unique experiences and provide football fans from all over the world with an opportunity to enjoy this competition first-hand,” said Jonas Lygaard, senior director of brand and business development for Konami Digital Entertainment B.V., in the announcement. “This year, however, we will shift our focus into other areas. We will continue to explore alternative ways UEFA and Konami can continue to work together, as our relationship remains strong.”
Why this is relevant to us? Because it's one more evidence - and by far the strongest so far - that the official story is true, and Konami is indeed stepping out of AAA gaming in favor of other ventures, like Pachinko machines. Konami is behaving exactly as one would expect them to behave if they truly were gearing up to abandon (or drastically diminish) AAA gaming. And there is no possibility of them doing this just as a red herring, as it would be absolutely insane - PES is their most profitable franchise by a significant margin. In fact, it was the one franchise that was expected to survive the AAA purge (it was the one that has been unaffected so far, at least). Abandoning the UEFA partnership means that FIFA will almost certainly grab it, which will definetly cement FIFA as the premier football game in the world. It is not an advantage that Konami would give up willingly, unless they truly believed they wouldn't need it anymore, such as due to changing their target marketing.
I believe that, with this development, the possibility of Konami being involved in the ruse - an hypothesis that never made much sense to begin with due to the risks and PR hits they took for the sake of this possible ruse - is effectively dead. There is 0 chance that Konami would abandon something as profitable as PES but still keep MGS as the focal point of their company.
Does this mean everything is over? Not necessarily. Archillect's recent involvement with this whole story is very, very weird, and I believe it is worth paying attention too (but not consider it 100% involved, at least not yet).
Considering Norma Reedus' recent disclosure of the fact that DS will have "social media elements", I do believe there is a very real possibility of some sort of ARG going on right now or starting in the near-future. I believe the community's efforts will be much more well-spent focusing on this more likely possibility than insisting in a gigantic conspiracy theory that never made much sense to begin with, and now makes even less so.

I absolutely agree - the two weirdest and more on-the-nose tweets so far - the one with the 204863 sequence and the GIF with the clock stuck at 11:59 - are PT-related, not DS-related. However, it is important to keep in mind that, for all intents and purposes, Death Stranding is the realization of the artistic vision that brought us P.T. It is the child of the collaboration between Kojima, Del Toro and, possibly, Jujin Ito (whose collaboration is still not confirmed, but it's far from being an impossibility), featuring Norman Reedus as well. And, while Konami owns PT and not Kojima, there is a lot of leeway on how much someone can reference elements from another work. Kojima definetly can't use the PT brand, logo and etc, but he probably would be able to safely use fringe elements from PT (like the 204863 sequence and the clock) on a social media ARG. And, most importantly: Even if legally speaking he could not, this would only matter if Konami would be willing to take him to court over this usage - which would involve a lot of money and a lot of time. Considering Konami is distancing themselves from gaming and thus wouldn't care, on top of the legal expenses and time waste, I can see Kojima being confident enough to use these fringe connections in a minor way (social media marketing campaign, instead of actually featuring them in the game). I sure as hell would bet my money on Konami not suing and Kojima being able to get away with a lot of things that legally speaking he should not.
So, tl;dr: Konami being involved in the ruse never made sense and now it makes even less so since the end of this partnership signals that the official story (Konami leaving gaming) was true. However, under the recent Archillect developments and Reedus's declarations, it is possible that an Death Stranding ARG could be underway or soon to come. I honestly believe that focusing the community's efforts on this possible ARG would be far more productive for the community as a whole (not to mention that it would save a lot of disappointment down the line), instead of trying to uncover a conspiracy that simply isn't there.

So there was this theorist (which everyone seems to hate here, which I understand now) who was talking with us over http://pilgrim.io/portal
All of a sudden he/she started making random shit and I knew, something must be wrong with him/her... he/she made up bullshit that Norman Reedus plays a trans woman and Sam basically becomes trans The Boss (shitty theory I must say but I was very civil...) I told him/her "hopefully just a model swap.. The Boss is a female... if Kojima pulls such shit with her im done." Because that's my own opinion and im entitled to it just like he/she is but not, he/she called me transphobic and lots of shit just for disagreeing.
It's not about trans-phobia, its more about, say that character was trans woman (originally) and then reconnected as a normal female, that would still piss me off! its nothing about being trans-phobic, but he/she got triggered all of a sudden.
Then he/she got mad and started posting pictures of herself with some Low Roar members and bragging about talking with them, THEREFORE she is right (I also figured she's a trans woman, an angry one, which explains her behavior when I disagreed over her trans boss idea, too, which really doesn't make sense for a lot of reasons, aside from a model swap to confuse people). Also it was totally fine for her to make an anti-islamic insult and call me a white CIS gendered person (which I'm not) and kept whining about Trump (really, how is this DS related?)...
She even posts nudes of herself and when someone called out for it she says she's happy she's a slut! later those people somehow got banned or something too, which means she made up that chat or something at least... pretty pathetic.
I think I will finally reside against the ruse which I was a complete believer in for a long time now... but this shit was too much and got out of hand, one makes a theory but doesn't use it for their own benefit like this in a pathetic way. We can all agree on one thing a person over there said: FIB The Angry (I Hate Society and anyone who disagrees with my trans fiction and sluttyness) Trans.
