THEORY - TPP TAKES PLACE IN DITE-UNR
Hello everyone, I'm a hardcore MGS fan new to reddit. I was angry about Metal Gear Survive considering how it doesn't match with the series as a whole but therefore Phantom Pain: no boss battle, short cutscenes, main missions feels like side-ops, not showing legandary characters like Gray Fox, Solid Snake, Naomi, Sniper Wolf, maps feeling empty and how you have nothing left to do after finishing the game. We feel disappointment and real phantom pain. However I still have hope and thats why this place exists. Regardless of ruse; Death Stranding will be awasome, Kojima still has the connections to influence Survive, movie will be great and sooner or later we will achieve disarmament. In this post, I will evaluate Death Stranding, Survive and Phantom Pain to see how they are connected. Please enjoy !
DEATH STRANDING
When you die in Death Stranding your body, your equipment, your vehicle, even some characters are transferred to Purgatory - which means 'real world' as we know it faces your absence. However we are not the only absence, thats why we see a desert like environment with nothing inside. Phantom pain of our world; no plants, animals, humans, loved ones, laughter, colours, music, simply nothing left. All those things which makes the world a beautiful place are gone. Just Norman and artificial womb with a baby inside (that represents the player). Our existence is continuing at the Purgatory after we die. Now imagine reaching to the surface, instead of staying underwater in Purgatory or going back to the land of the living. There are monsters out there, Bridges vehicle is floating to the surface, bodies are reaching to the surface. Which means there is a map out there to be discovered, different kind of world no human eyes ever saw before. Whatever death takes away from life, goes there. I'm pretty sure 90% of the game will take place in Purgatory. In fact we have to go back and forth (between land of the dead and land of the living) in order to interact or bring things back from Purgatory (some characters, technology, weapons etc.) in order to save the world because it becomes a barren wasteland and monsters from Purgatory are in our world.
SURVIVE
After the destruction of MSF, organization controlled by Cipher send a dead soldier (correct me if I'm wrong) to Dite (place beyond wormholes). Their goal is to find materials and do anything they can to go back to their own world. Now there is very little we know about the Story Mode; so far we know that we are able to build farms, expand the stranded Motherbase and we will kill lot of those monsters. Those monsters seem to leak black liquid once they die. What if at some point we will be able to prevent zombies appearing in that place. To summarize we are securing an area, creating a possibility for life and building cities in Purgatory. That sounds familiar. What if thats the main goal of Cipher - securing this place beyond wormholes. Since when MSF soldiers are working for Cipher ? Even enemies (MSF & XOF) are collaborating eachother to survive this place. If people go there after dying does it mean; Venom, Big Boss, Skullface, Paz, Strangelove, Liquid Snake or even The Boss was there at some point. If thats the case I would understand why Cipher is so keen to secure the area. Survive may give us a perspective to finally interpret Phantom Pain.
THE PHANTOM PAIN
What if I told you that Afghanistan in TPP was never Afghanistan, that the year was never 1984 or we were never in the real world to begin with. What if the entire Phantom Pain takes place in Dite - at the future of Survive when all the monsters are gone. Battlefield could be anywhere. If Dite looks similar with Afghanistan and if Survive takes place before Phantom Pain, what if it was neer Afghansitan (we assumed it was Afghanistan by just seeing few posters and foreign language). What if thats why Miller said 'Cipher sent us to hell but we are going even deeper.'. What if thats the reason why Volgin appears like he did, maybe he was stranded from some horrible dimension to Dite. Maybe thats why Mosquito said 'So you know what Hell's like too.'. What if stranded humans/soldiers created a similar civilization in Purgatory like our ancestors did in real world. Created units like CFA, RCU, XOF or Diamond Dogs. Meanwhile there were never XOF in the real world (we heard about the existence of XOF in V - they were never mentioned before). What if thats why we never saw FOXHOUND and Outer Heaven or characters like Solid Snake, Sniper Wolf, Gray Fox, Naomi. What if some characters go back and forth between Dite and real world like; Huey, Big Boss, Ocelot or Skullface. What if the beginning of the game is the end of the game, Ishmael told Venom "Good news: you're in the land of the living. Bad news? Whole world wants you dead.". What if some of the new characters were always there; like Quiet, Code Talker, Skullface or Eli. Skulls Unit doesn't belong to this world (like puppet soldiers) equiped with high-technology. This makes The Phantom Pain sequel of Survive. What if Paz was stranded in Dite and somehow secured by Diamond Dogs, what if she was never a hallucination to begin with. What if all of her cassettes were real as well. Stranded people always had their previous (generally fatal) wound from their previous lives. Like Venom, Paz, Sam, del Toro or Lisa. Keep this theory in mind and please share if you find any evidence.
MISLEAD
After that we are trying to achieve impossible disarmament task, not able to play the cut content, felt sad for scrapped ideas (like Chico, Battle Gear, Motherbase Customization, map generator), removal of Kojima's name, finding unaccessable Chapter 3 in game files, promise of returning to Camp Omega, cancellation of Silent Hills, removal of PT from PSN, Kojima-Konami break up, Kojima collaborating Sony, announced Death Stranding, Metal Gear Pachinko, Silent Hill Pachinko, Metal Gear Survive, Give Me an Answer Clip, Low Roar dillemma, Lena Katina song, Mads Mikkelsen Ford movie and now I'm sure we finally have PTSD :D These things are either coincidence or intentional. We can't be sure about the backstory of break up between Kojima and Konami, reports about mistreating employees, contradiction of Kojima dissing zombies in Metal Gear OR if Kojima secretly developing Survive, influencing people at Konami, Konami finally taking criticsm seriously ( regarding the comments at Youtube, fanbase and petitions at Change.org).
Kojima wanted to make a zombie game. Downgraded PT in order to look indie. Hired Norman Reedus again after the cancellation. Acted as if TPP belongs to Joakim Mogren and Moby Dick (no chapter 3 either) Studios. Now we are suspicious if something similar is happening again. We are either ignoring the truth or giving too much credit. I never liked the idea of spreading false information and lying about mistreatment even if it will end well, this is a red line for me. If we look for connections, patterns and coincidences even Silent Hill 3 (2003) has the picture of Norman Reedus.
Everything is stretch I'm afraid, maybe Episode 51 was a Prologue for the movie after all. Maybe Kojima is promoting few projects at the same time. Maybe Konami really fired Kojima but hired him again after the fan base reaction. Maybe Kojima is teasing that there is a ruse and intentionally sharing similar content for marketing his independent game. Maybe this ruse is designed by Kojima for his personal desire to win Nobel Peace Prize. We will never know.
CONCLUSION
I will buy the game after seeing some reviews but I have hope Survive is/was always part of the bigger picture (V Experience). I think 'V Experience' includes all: PT, Silent Hills, Death Stranding, Metal Gear Movie, Ground Zeroes, Phantom Pain and Survive. At least in Kojima's head. Because it makes sense after thinking about the concepts: multiple dimensions, ghosts or purgatory/hell. Ruse or not Metal Gear is on the right track if its somehow similar to what Kojima is doing individually. He has a specific thought of giving players a lesson to change the real world and Metal Gear (war, politics, control, lies etc.) has a nice frame to achieve that. Its not impossible to think that Kojima discussed the future of the series (without him) with someone else before or after he leaves Konami. All it takes is to send an email or share a coffee with whoever is responsible, in this case its Yuji Korekado.
There is lot of tension at this subreddit nowadays but I invite you all to calm down and enjoy this process together. Whatever this is, we are very close to the end. We don't want to associate this negative feelings if something good will happen. Either disarmament, Death Stranding, Survive or Metal Gear Movie we are going to experience something we will enjoy, real soon - this is beyond ruse OR us being right or wrong. All we have to know is, this will end well for us. I'm very happy to share this experience with you guys.

Walker stalker flop!-UNR
So I’ve just learned that a bunch of actors have cancelled the Melbourne, Aus walker stalker con two weeks before it’s supposed to be on.
Norman reedus cancelled because of Ride, bunch of others cancelled because of prior commitments and Chandler is only going to the Sydney one. JDM is only going to the Sydney one, which I also think he might cancel that as well because his wife is due to give birth around that time.
People are loosing their shit. First time one of these conventions are in this country and all the main actors that people wanted to see are cancelling. People paid $800+ for gold and vip, meet and greets etc. just to find out majority of who they wanted to see are being cancelled. I myself paid $500+ for pictures with various actors. Now half are getting refunded.
Not happy.
