A bit about him:

John Marston is a masterful and experienced gunman, sharpshooter, rider and hunter. He is a rugged survivalist and knows life as a fight for survival, which is something he does admirably.

There are two very different versions of John Marston in the two Red Dead Redemption games. While we meet John as a sour and broken man at the beginning of the first game, RDR2 offers a glimpse into John’s upbringing in the Van der Linde gang.

Reckless and emotionally distant from his family, young John is nothing like his more mature self. For this, I think Norman Reedus would be the right fit for the role. His role in TWD pretty much has the same moral transformation that John Marston goes through in the games, so it would come naturally for Reedus to play this role in a live-action RDR2 movie.

Getting Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Dutch Van Der Linde would be good as well. Dutch is the leader of the gang/family who is a very likeable character and is looked up to by the rest of the gang, but slowly descends into madness from being pressured by the modernisation of the wild-west smoking out outlaws, their lack of and hunger for a final satisfying score and Micah Bell manipulating him into thinking his gang is against him.

I thought of Jeffrey because that's the reverse of Negan from TWD.

Sadie Adler is a recent widow who came to the gang a broken women, who ends the game avenging her husband by killing the murders in an epic shoot out. She is good friends with the main character, Arthur (who I'm not too sure about in terms of who to pick to act him out) as they can both relate to being the muscle of the family.

And Steven Ogg for Micah Bell. Micah is someone who is important to the character arc of Dutch as he steers him crazy by slowly convincing Dutch that only he has his back. Micah is someone who is ruthless and would do anything to survive, including being a rat.
