Marvel Studios Ghost Rider as a 13 episode Disney+ Series. Featuring 2 Spirits of Vengeance to portray Ghost Rider. Starring Johnny Blaze (Norman Reedus) & Danny Ketch (Ryan Goslin).
In the 1990’s MCU proper, Mephisto Manipulates a Teenage Johnny Blaze into becoming a vessel for the Spirit of Vengance. Curing his father’s Cancer in turn for becoming a Acolyte to him. Blaze spends his adult life as a Supernatural Bounty Hunter for Mephisto. On the civilian side, he becomes a Motorsport Performer. Living a normal life until Mephisto orders him to do his bidding.
In 2018 MCU proper, set during the Blip. Danny Ketch is adjusting to the world during the Blip. Trying to find work at an auto shop. he involuntarily becomes involved in the Auto Shops underground Grand Theft Motorcycle Gang. Danny becomes a Street racing Legend during the blip era. However he can’t leave the Gang.
Modern Day MCU, Danny attempts to retire from the Motorcycle GTA gang after one last street race. The Gang Leader finds out his plan. Sending a squad to murder Danny at a pre-game bar party. Danny survives the assaintion attempt, and Hotwire a motorcycle to escape. Once he drives it, his skin peels off, and fire consumes his skull. This motorcycle belongs to Johnny Blaze. Blaze and Danny meet, but before they can talk things out gangsters begin to shoot them.
Danny watches Blaze heal himself and transform into The Ghost Rider. Defeating the gangsters. Blaze tells him no one who touches the motorcycle has survived other then him.
The series follows the events of Jonny & Danny trying to break free of Mephisto’s ownership & the Gangsters control. With themes of indentured servitude and independence. Johnny’s experience with supernatural entities & Danny’s more worldly perspective creates this 13 episode Buddy-cop series.
The series ends with Johnny Blaze sacrificing himself to seal Mephisto & him into a pocket dimension. Danny becomes the spirit of Vengance for the MCU moving forward. Taking out hits to supernatural creatures out of respect for Blaze’s legacy.
Post credit scene. The pocket dimension is revealed to be set in Nicholas Cage universe. 2nd post credit scene is back in the main 616 timeline. Ghost Rider finishes off a warehouse of thugs, and is then greeted by Punisher (Jon Berthal)
