Beth & Daryl // THIS IS NOT A BETHYL SHIP POST, EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE-UNR

https://ift.tt/RlLJDnV

I don't know who to talk this with, and many of the post about this are archived and I can't comment on them, so here it goes...

I have been watching TWD since 2022, I haven't seen TWD: Daryl Dixon, but I'm in the fandom, in Tumblr and on Tiktok.

When I watched the show for the first time, of course I saw the season 4's chapters with Daryl & Beth running from the prison together and I wanted to think it was platonic, I didn't find anything else by the actors that said otherwise, so I was comfortable thinking it was platonic. I take it that scene when she asked him "what changed?" when they were in the funeral home was a bit tense, but then I thought, there is no way this is romantic, Norman is a sensitive person and so are the creators, and I was comfortable with that.

That Daryl saw Beth as someone he needed to protect, he had done it before, and after (Judith, Lydia)

And fast forwards to two years, recently, I saw a BTS scene of Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride talking about the show, in a "behind the scenes" section they did for their New Show, TWD: Daryl Dixon "The book of Carol", and in it, Norman talked about the relationship with Beth, and it was so Creepy, he basically confirmed that it was romantic, that they were talking about "girlfriend and boyfriend" things, but they played it like miscommunication between the two. (couldn't find the clip on youtube)

And now I'm completely creeped out

We are talking about a BARELY eighteen year old girl, one that was really immature, sheltered all her life by her extremely religious father, and the fact she lived on a farm and all.

And now I'm so creeped out, by Norman, it's so weird, I feel betrayed or something.

Please, someone out there, tell me I'm not cray cray

Is anybody else weirded out by the couple?
