I think people really need to chill with the hate they’ve been giving people like Norman and Melissa. As far as I can tell I don’t see much of that in this sub, but overall it’s just so unfair. Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Lauren Cohan and Lennie James all deserve nothing but respect from all fans.
These four have been here since the VERY beginning. The show aired in 2010 and these guys have been around for it all. If all four of them decided they wanted out right this second, they should be able to do that with love from all of us.
They’ve made a bigger commitment than anyone in any marvel project IMO.
Is Norman Reedus ACTUALLY being attacked, or is this AMC attempting to get buzz on their new show?-UNR
I'm just curious what everyone's thoughts are on this. I noticed that Norman Reedus was trending on twitter and 99% of the posts were people supporting him. The Walking Dead seems to have an extremely toxic fanbase, but it doesn't seem like anyone should be upset at an actor for another actors exit.
To me, this feels like a marketing move to get people talking about this series that they've continuously run into the ground for the last few years.

Why are some ' fans' so toxic?-UNR
Especially recently, the amount of hate these actors get on Twitter and social media is absurd. The literal death threats I have seen given to Norman Reedus over the fact that Melissa Mcbride didn't want to move to Europe is ridiculous, Norman has for the most part, dedicated 12 years of his life to the show. I think there is a specific part of the fanbase that is especially hateful towards the actors, they seem unable to comprehend that they are not their characters. This isn't the first time we have seen this, look at the death threats Josh Mcdermitt received, which made him permenantly delete socials. Not just him though, Lauren Cohan received SO much hate for taking a break from the show and then coming back. Lynn Collins also up there with the threats. If you are someone who does this you're an immature imbecile

I have never disliked a cast of “main characters” and the protagonist in a game as much as in Death Stranding.-UNR
Don’t get me wrong, I think the core gameplay loop of Death Stranding is solid and the process of building up a network of roads, safe houses, zip lines, and charging stations. This is my first Kojima game and I’m aware he’s known for being “a little eccentric” and exposition heavy, but I’m amazed that this game is as well received as it is.
That being said, I believe I’m approaching the end of my first play through and I have to say, while I’m still enjoying playing the game, I think it’s criminally overrated as a story experience, and that the story and specifically it’s characters are the worst and least compelling parts of the entire game.
No one has anything interesting or important to do except Sam, who is a boring wet blanket of a protagonist benefiting primarily from being cast as Norman Reedus and not much else.
No one else except Fragile really feels like they have any agency in the story, and what “story” there is hamfistedly shoehorned between delivery acceptances and completions makes me hope that the Golden Cult guy from Lake Knot succeeds in whatever he was doing; at least he had the decency to be interesting and not waste my time.

It's incredibly impressive to me how loyal these two actors are for staying since the beginning of the show back in 2010.-UNR
Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride should be seen as TV Legends. Two top notch actors who've stayed on such a huge show since its first season all the way up to its 11th and final season season, 12 years; it's amazing. I have nothing but respect for those two. When they're dead and gone, they'll still be talked about for ages to come.

A nagging question regarding death and voidouts [very light spoilers]-UNR
Something has been bothering me for quite awhile after starting DS. We know early on that Sam is a repatriate, whom is someone that is unable to die permanently when killed. So he can fall to his death, get shot, bleed himself dry, blow up, and most importantly get caught, and even sometimes cause, a voidout, before waking up completely unharmed. Now Sam early on is being seen getting caught in said voidout and being killed, before being brought back to life from the seam by guiding his soul to his body, which he then is revived. However two things confuse me heavily after the fact, which follows to every subsequent time Sam dies to a voidout: How is BB still alive?
Whenever Sam gets caught and a voidout happens, any cargo he was carrying will be heavily damaged from it, yet BB is completely unharmed from the explosion. Now, one may excuse it off that BB is simply also a repatriate, which might be likely due to BB's having a strong connection to the beach, so they might also possess special powers aside from seeing BT's.
However, how is Sam's equipment also completely unharmed? I.E. his Odradek, cargo rack, and even his Porter jumpsuit, in edition to BB's pod (astronaut included), Fragile's band, the Q-Pid, any and all cosmetic items, and Amelie's dreamcatcher? I mean aside from not having to see Norman Reedus' ass and the legal drama that comes with it, is there a lore explanation to how everything (aside from cargo) survives an anti-matter ghost explosion? Is his otter hood and robot arm-flower-thing also repatriates?

[Silent Hills / PT] The cancelled game was about Norman Reedus' character surviving a pater familicide.-UNR
The PT demo told the story about a man who murdered his wife and child after apparently discovering that the baby wasn't his, but that she had slept with her boss and gotten pregnant from her employer instead. The main character just barely survived the attack which saw his family being killed, living with the guilt.
The plot of the game would've followed Reedus as he is drawn to Silent Hill due to finding out that he is himself expected to become a father, a fact that terrifies him because of what his father did. He would've struggled with having to deal with his trauma and the fear that he is himself a danger to his own child.

What in the hell is the Junk Dealer sub-story?-UNR
I am certain that, for the most part, the Junk Dealer storyline is by far one of the most unneeded and weirdly-done subplot throughout Chapter 3+.
So, if you forgot what it is, Junk Dealer is one of the important preppers you need to deal with in the 2nd area of the game, after reaching the distribution center. Upon arriving to his location, you'll be met with a rather creepy recording of some girl playing around with a chiral hourglass, before cutting to him, to which he explains he's mourning over her. From how childish she's acting, I assumed she was his daughter who died in one of the terrorist bombing attacks, but nope, this girl is apparently his girlfriend, whom he assumes dead. After sending me through a BT-infested ruin for scrap, he apparently has a need to show off his supposedly-dead fiancé to me again, for some reason?
But apparently, she wasn't dead, as there were no body reports on someone that looks like her (because apparently nuclear bombs don't leave you a smoldering burnt corpse???). So Fragile cross-references people based on her description and voice, and no lie, after 10 minutes later (give or take depending how fast you do the mission) she finds where she is, exactly where she is, currently. And she isn't in some shelter on the other side of the map, no, this girl was literally living just over a hill, a few hundred meters away from this dude, after supposedly being separated from him for a long, long time. You're telling me this guy was so busy mourning and moping about his dead girlfriend to totally random people that he never bothered scaling the shore and checking out the other prepper shelter nearby, for lord knows how long, and happening upon her? A process that took Fragile 10 minutes to sift through and locate her with.
So then the dude entrusts Sam with a comically fragile hourglass, that cannot be placed on your back and must always be held in your hand, to trek through a BT field, allllll the way to his supposed girlfriend whom he doesn't even fully trust to be alive. I make it to the place with my graceful butterfly-esque gentle care of the package, talk with an old lady for five seconds, and then go into a cutscene. With absolutely no initiation or reaction from Sam, the girl just goes into a full-blown monologue for what feels like ages while Norman Reedus (and by extension, me as well) stares at her with a blank face until she stops talking. It's made even worse since the VA is Japanese, and speaks English very very poorly, and instead of making her Japanese too so it can be excused as her being non-native, they made her an American as well. A non-Japanese American voiced by someone who is Japanese and doesn't speak good English, which ends up making her little speech more unbearable.
And in addition, the girl's mother went as far as to lie about the Junk Dealer dying just to keep her daughter safe from looking for him. That same mother entrusted me to haul her daughter through a BT-infested field under constant timefall, to the very person she swore to keep her daughter away from to such an extent, Even though I feel that it should be Fragile doing this as a form of her reconciling for almost killing them both , not Walker Killer Daryl Dixon, a completely random Porter.
So then, after hauling her through a BT field and to her boyfriend, another cutscene plays out. That hourglass I carefully took through a field of evil antimatter ghosts to her, and that she also carries back with her, ends up being thrown onto the ground and smashed instantly right in front of me. And then (for the record, this entire time I was under the impression that she was his daughter, and that the old lady was a mother stealing her child from her father) she asks him to marry her, out of the blue. Then I am relieved, because that's the last mission regarding that. A few days later in the mountains, I check my email randomly, to find they had sent me an email! And you know what it had said? They broke up, he didn't like her, she didn't like him, and they broke up. So what was all that work for then? All that trekking through a dumb B-plot just for them to break up in the end? What a waste.
And for the record, this post isn't entirely serious. I still love the game dearly and the B-plot really doesn't annoy me as much as it sounds like, but it's such a dumb way how it was handled and really only a negative in such an amazing Amazon delivery driver sim such as this.
The Hate For DmC is a Bit Much for a Game that’s actually good and could be Treated as a Prequel…-UNR
Ok, so I’ve LOVE Devil May Cry since I was 12, it’s an amazing series, love Dante, Vergil, and even Nero(he grew on me), so as a fan of the Original, I can say this with no irony, the hate on DmC is too much. Like, I hated the look of Dante too, thought it was stupid at first that they rebooted everything, and i wasn’t agreeing with the choices at first…until I actually finished the game(and the dlc helped a little too). Let me take a moment to just explain why it isn’t as bad as all the hater make it out too be and hell, I may even give you an idea that this game is actually the secret history of Dante and Vergil…
First; People can say it’s the gameplay, but the game was actually the best “gameplay wise” till 5 came out(NOTE: I’ve played through the original DmC and DmC DE, I didn’t bother me with the difference) and yes, they will say they “made it easier” or whatever…yea, NT wanted it to be a bit more main stream with the gameplay, but let’s not all pretend that the older games didn’t improve though out the year as well, from 1 going into 3, you aren’t going to tell me they didn’t make the controls/gameplay a lot more main stream?? So for them, they wanted to add more and make it a bit easier, which it was actually fun to play, being able to not worry about how I’m supposed to do something to “look cool”, instead I just play and let it happen, stylish gameplay with out trying so hard.
NT was told, “here’s a game, make it so more people will play it now.” And let’s all be honest with ourselves, capcom wanted a lot more people to play this game(yea…it was the opposite but they really did try), so they made a more main stream idea of devil may cry, gameplay and story…and again, being honest here about the original series of games, the story was a mess… from going to 1 to 2 wasn’t bad, you can tell some years passed, than 3 dropped, (which was a soft reboot for the series too, look at it, gameplay was changed, main character changed, people might say no, that’s still Dante…no look at 1 and 2 and tell me they are the same?? Their excuse is “Dante is younger”…ok so it the Dante in DmCI’ll get back to this point later), 4 was another soft reboot by bringing in Nero and Ignoring game 2(and now we have this weird thread of Nero maybe being a son of Sparta and we didn’t get an actual answer to that until the DMC4SE came out to FINALLY give us some kinda of answer, which personally and I’m pretty sure the whole community will agree, it was obvious that Nero was Vergil’s kid) and finally, as a “big sorry” for the big reboot, they did 5, giving us another game with Vergil as the main bad guy, Nero is Vergil’s kid, and everything ends all happy… and even now, we don’t know if DMC2 matters, everyone seems to ignore the personality changed Dante’s been through and think DmC was the only one that changed him…no, my man went from 3(cocky and young) to 1(acting a bit cold and quiet with some cockiness) to 2(all quiet, small amounts of cocky attitude) to 4(cocky and oldish) to 5(cocky and Norman Reedus looking ass)…
After all that, here’s my main reason why I don’t mind and even accept DmC…the younger Dante gave them the same excuse as DMC3 to make Dante more “fun and relatable”, but he ended up looking like some punk rock emo git with a cocky attitude the size of the moon, again tho, this is VERY early Dante, he’s DMC 3 Dante but even more younger. So yea, he’s going to piss people off, especially the hardcore fans that stuck with the game, instead of growing up with Dante, he reverted back and was younger than the fans and at the current times, he acted and looked like someone his age. So look wise, I didn’t mind, he was ok, but everything turned out better when you just play the game and reach the end…he gets his white hair(and yes, I know, first 10mins of the game, a wig got on his head and he said “never in a million years”…people straight up thought it was a dig at old Dante, but no, it wasn’t, it was a small “fuck you” to himself, because in the end, it was foreshadowing that he will end up with the white hair, which he did in the end of DmC.). Now off of his look and attitude, DmC is an Interesting story, it took the originals DMC 3 and 1, and combine them, along with alot of good backstory and lore we NEVER got in the original series, shit, even with Dante and Vergil now being part angel was a welcoming change(it would have giving for so much good stories and ideas for the future, which is pointless now lol).
Now, there is where I ask you to bare with me, people will 100% hate this idea and think it’s too much to do or ask for, but i personally like to put DmC in the original set, as the prequel to it all. I KNOW I KNOW…how?! NO WAY?! But…it’s possible. You see, in DMC3, Dante and Vergil had another meeting before that game, one obviously where they also fought and of course Dante won, DMC3 was Vergil revenge to something we never got to see or play. Well…why not make it DmC? Again, how??? Well, we can do two thing here; either ignore most of the plot with mundus in DmC and only care about the Vergil parts and make that a prequel somehow. Or do like me, make the changes like this; ignore the angel stuff in DmC(so sad about that still, the nephilim story could have been sooooo good) and make it so that DmC was the first time Dante and Mundus fought, and now we go and change some of the story in DMC1 and instead of Mundus getting revenge on Dante for what Sparta did, it’s for what Dante did in DmC and now make the whole “I had a devil too look like your mom” thing mean a lot more, and could explain how Vergil met his “mother” in the dlc, could just be an early Trish working for Mundus, who is still alive but weakened after his fight in DmC, to get Vergil to fight Dante again, in DMC3, who(Vergil) had now unlocked his devil trigger, (seen in the DmC DLC) making it so he’s a lot stronger but he wants more, so he goes for his fathers power too, which goes into 3. Mundus wanted a hell of a lot of VENGEANCE on Dante, plotted to get his brother to fight him again in 3(he failed), so he does what he does in DMC1, taking Vergil to be his bitch as revenge on Vergil for his part in DmC, as seen in the secret ending to DMC3(I mean, it’s a good revenge plot on Vergil, make him think he’s in control and he got all this power, all for it to be taken and he’s forced to be a servant of the guy he tried to take over). Another good thing about DmC was how we never explained why the original DMC world just had demon just in the real world with no reason. Well, in DmC, Vergil and Dante broken the “Mirror” of Limbo, breaking the world, now allowing demons to appear, giving Dante his future job as a devil hunter…
I can go deeper into this but I’ll stop, but I honestly believe DmC isn’t as bad as everyone is making it out to be. Believe me, when it first came out with that first poster of Dante sitting in a jail, taking arrest photos, I hated that shit so much but I still got the game tho, it was devil may cry, of course I had to get it. I hated the first 10mins of it when I saw the wig scene, but I didn’t dropped it and say “fuck this”, I kept going and without a shadow of doubt, it was an amazing game with so much potential…shame that fans just couldn’t let go of the original to let his new one have a chance. Like no offense to anyone here that is a hater of DmC, but you do realize the original story was a mess, and now with 5 done, we probably won’t be seeing Dante in 6 and maybe longer…or Vergil….it’s Nero’s show now, exactly what they wanted after 4 dropped. No lie, I kinda think Capcom did what they did with DmC as a way to make people forget about how the fandom hated Nero at first, and then DmC came out and we got that Dante and everyone hated that, then 5 came out and no one said shit about Nero(especially with the fact that no one realizes that they used the same look for DmC Dante on Nero, same hair, jacket, attitude…), just on Dante’s (and Vergil’s) return to form and how great it was(I agree tho, it was AMAZING to see all that). I believe Capcom wanted to make Nero(a young character) the main character of the series, after 4, people weren’t really agreeing, they said “fuck it, let’s reboot this” and made Dante young so they can have their cake and eat it too and failed partly because of the people, partly because they didn’t handle it with a bit more care.
Anyways, I’m happy to just see Devil May Cry still going, reboot or Original, but for me? I’ll still being playing DmC as part of the original story, so in MY order it will be DmC, DMC 3, DMC1, DMC 4, DMC5, and then DMC2(I’ll still say DMC2 is the ending Dante).
Anyways, I’ve been wanted to talk about this subject for a long time, even wanted to make an “explained” video about it. Writing it down, putting the ideas down, I think I might actually make this video. DmC shouldn’t be the black sheep the of DMC series, it isn’t the best but it isn’t DMC2…that was still probably the worst…BUT just saying tho, DMC2 isn’t all bad, it just raises too many questions on story and placement, gameplay was trash too.

I have been watching the walking dead for a while now and Daryl is by far my favourite character his hair is so badass and I want the same hair cut. I know it will take a while but I’m not sure on what I should do to start. Right now I have a skin fade and long on top but tomorrow I’m going to cut a bit off the top so it all grows together. How do I get this hairstyle?

Death Stranding is the next big epic from the creator of Metal Gear Solid, Hideo Kojima. As you'd expect it's big, ambitious and kind of weird. It's an open-world action game, though Kojima has suggested that in the same way that the original MGS games weren't classed as 'stealth' because no-one had a word for what they were doing yet, Death Stranding is in a category that we don't understand yet. That's a pretty lofty thing to say, but it's fair that there's a whole lot going on in Death Stranding that calling it an open-world action game fails to capture.
In Death Stranding the world has become fractured, plagued by supernatural weirdness that keeps humanity isolated and living in walled cities. The player's job, as Sam Porter Bridges, is to do the work of bridging those gaps and reconnecting our fragmented society. Thematically, Kojima is interested in what he refers to as ropes, the things that tie humans together but also the connections between life and death. When Sam dies, he reemerges in an upside-down, submerged world. When he returns to the land of the living any damage he did when he died persists persists in the wordl. There's also a type of rain called 'Timefall' which ages anything it touches, and the ability to wander outside your body.
So, yes, weird.
The game has a cast that qualifies as 'all-star' not just by videogames standards, but by TV and Hollywood standards too. Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, Lea Seydoux, Margaret Qualley, Tommie Earl Jenkins, Troy Baker and Lindsay Wagner have all provided not just voice work, but extensive motion capture too.
On PS5 the game also comes with a host of touch-ups for the new generation, including haptic feedback, 3D audio and upscaled visuals.
While pinning down exactly what Death Stranding is may be the work of a lifetime, you can be sure that it's going to be strange, ambitious and epic.

My idea for how Marvel could do Midnight Sons-UNR
At various times, Midnight Sons have featured the likes of Doctor Strange, Moon Knight, Punisher, Blade, and Ghost Rider. All of these roles except Ghost Rider have already been cast. I think with some of the upcoming MCU projects they could give Midnight Sons an Avengers-style build-up by featuring team ups of these characters before a full crossover. Here's how:
Moon Knight season 2: Not technically announced yet, but I think a great idea would be to include Punisher, since they have teamed up before in the comics. It would be interesting to see their dynamic on screen.
Blade: Although I don't think he's been included with the Midnight Sons in the comics, I think including Kit Harrington's Black Knight in this movie, and eventually Midnight Sons, could be interesting. The Eternals post credit scene hints at a team up, so it makes sense.
Ghost Rider: There is a Ghost Rider project in the works for the MCU. This could just be a solo project with a Midnight Sons post credit scene. They could also introduce a new hero here to join Midnight Sons. And speaking of post-credits...
Doctor Strange: A great way to tie them together could be some post-credit scene cameos or in-movie cameos with Doctor Strange in a Nick Fury type role for the Midnight Sons. I don't know much about the Multiverse of Madness plot, but they could go with a route where Strange no longer trusts the Avengers after his team up with Scarlet Witch, which I think will go wrong. So he is in search of a new team that can help him with more supernatural threats.
I hope they go with a similar route to this. A movie/series with Benedict Cumberbatch, Oscar Isaac, Mahershala Ali, Kit Harrington, Jon Bernthal, and whoever they cast for Ghost Rider (Norman Reedus or Keanu Reeves would be fantastic) could be an amazing cast and one of the MCU's best entries.
[Hazbin Hotel] Hell breaks loose when the voice actor of Angel Dust gets recast.-UNR
Background
Hazbin Hotel is an upcoming series created by animator Vivienne Medrano. The plot of the show focuses on the Princess of Hell, Charlie Morningstar, rehabilitating sinners into good souls through her rehab hotel. The pilot was released in 2019 and was a massive hit. A web series spinoff called Helluva Boss was released in 2020 and is still ongoing.
Other characters in the main cast include: Vaggie (Charlie's girlfriend), Alastor (mischievous radio demon), and Angel Dust (gay spider hooker). The fandom adores both Alastor and Angel; they are the most popular characters. Angel recieved a boost in popularity with the release of the Addict music video, which hints at his troubled life.
The voice actors of the pilot are also beloved by the fandom. The Hunicast were livestreams hosted by Ashley Nichols, an animator that worked on the show. They would feature some of the voice actors talking and goofing around on stream, allowing fans to become more attached to them. Michael Kovach, VA of Angel, was a staple of the Hunicast and very outgoing with fans. He was a favorite, along with Ed Bosco (VA of Alastor).
For two years, all fans had was the Hazbin pilot, music video, and these livestreams. Even though there were some warnings that the final show will be different in many ways, everyone wasn't too concerned at the time. But of course, the day of reckoning eventually came.
And All Hell Breaks Loose
In late December, some voice actors released announcements confirming that they were let go of the project and would not be in the final show. While fans were sad that the VAs for Nifty, Cherri Bomb, the singing VAs of Charlie and Alastor were gone, none of the announcements hit as hard as Kovach's.
Angel and Kovach were extremely beloved by the fans and many were so sad and angry that this happened. The firing was seen as a betrayal by Medrano, and there was speculation that her having Broadway stars and actors (especially Norman Reedus) in Helluva Boss went to her head and that she only wanted that level of star power in her show. Or that she ditched her friends that helped her once she gained her success.
She really did shitcan them because she wanted celebrities, huh?

While many were livid, others defended Medrano, saying that the VAs were not part of the SAG AFTRA union and therefore could not be legally hired. Kovach did elaborate that he had tried to gain membership but was denied. But people pointed out that the singing VA of Alastor had union membership but was nonetheless let go.

A woman that worked in the VA industry claimed that every actor was let go and her source was apparently a friend that worked on Hazbin. This was debunked, her original Twitter thread deleted, and her reputation took a hit. There were fears that Bosco would have been recast but he was not fired.
Bento Box Entertainment was confirmed as the company animating the show, which sparked more controversy since this company is known for stiff, generic adult animation and would likely be a downgrade from the pilot.

Aftermath
It's been months later and people have calmed down but are still saddened over it. The new actors have not been announced yet. But their spirits have been kept high with more Hazbin news (such as official Charlie and Alastor redesigns) and Helluva Boss episodes. Angel will have his redesign released this month.
