Looking back on 6x16...-UNR

https://ift.tt/gwYzIXM

Who do you think should've gotten the big Lucille death at the end of Season Six?

It made sense for Abraham and Glenn to be the victims at the time because they both died by this point in the comics and having them both die at Negan's hands cemented him as a strong presence and threat on the show.

However in the grand scheme of things Glenn's brutal death by a baseball bat made a considerable number of fans stop watching the show and ratings fell as a consequence. Looking back I feel it was a mistake for Glenn to have gotten the death.

I think if AMC and the producers thought ahead more for Andrew Lincoln's eventual departure (which he had been clear with them over repeatedly each year of filming), I think either Morgan or Abraham should've been the one to be killed by Negan in 6x16 and Glenn then should've become the main lead of the show after Rick died/left. Steven Yeun could've definitely carried the show more than Norman Reedus is and would've kept more fans invested, or at the very least if he didn't want to stay on the show then Lennie James should've stayed on the main show instead of going over to Fear and he could've been the new main lead after Andrew Lincoln left.

I think looking back, Negan's brutal murder of Glenn was one of the two worst decisions the show ever made next to Carl's death and it helped pave the way for the fall and eventual end of The Walking Dead.

What do you all think, who should Negan have killed in 6x16?
