Sam really needs more dialogue in DS2-UNR
Sam isn't the most talkative or social, I know. but compared to DS1 he barely talks! even with him walking last Tomorrow when she's practicing her powers he doesn't say a word!
I love Dollman, his acting is fantastic and his accent is cute. But good god he talks so much more than Sam ever does! he probably has the most lines in the game.
Fragile also feels like she's phoning it in for a lot of her lines too... she was so much more passionate in the first game. yes I know what happened to her but this doesn't feel like character choice but just the actress not caring as much..?
don't get me wrong. I love the game, I'm almost at 100 hours. it's fantastic and I'm having so much fun! but I'm just so confused on why the MAIN CHARACTER barely ever talks!! I pick up a book and bam, Dollman has to yap at me. which I don't mind, i love him. But I wanna hear Norman Reedus....
was he just too busy during production? was he too expensive for the budget...? because a LOT of lines from DS1 are reuses when he's exploring....
sorry I'm complaining so much. this game series means so much to me and if I hated it I wouldn't be so passionate about this. I also love Norman Reedus as an actor and I like hearing his voice 💔 but Sam barely talks ☹ anyone else notice this issue??

I watched this when I was a kid, so I could be wrong about the exact creation date. I believe it was 2009 though. here's what I remember: humans in spaceships go to what I think was mars. they almost die in the atmosphere but manage to land. they find aliens. one of them chooses to become one with the aliens. there were multiple characters, at least one a woman.
things Im not sure about: woman character sacrifices herself and ends up living? this could be from a different movie. also I vividly remember the guy who chooses to be one with the aliens as Norman reedus, but theres only two sci fi movies I can find with him. I just watched pandorum and that wasnt it, and its definitely not air.

Idea Time: Would a Christopher Guest-styled comedy from Rob Zombie work?-UNR
I've been bugged with a movie idea for the last 3 years: A Rob Zombie R Rated comedy called Carnies. It would be a Christopher Guest-style ensemble piece, taking place in a small town that gets rather lively during the Labor Day County Fair weekend. It would feature Michael Rooker, Richard Brake, Ron Pearlman, Bill Mosley, and Norman Reedus as the leads with plenty of supporting genre players. I know putting it out here will never get it made, but I just didn't want to sit on this dumb idea any longer. Thanks for letting me rant.

My red dead fan casting-UNR
Just for fun, I have put together a fan cast for a Red Dead show. I made this purely for fun and this doesn’t mean I necessarily think a TV show of the game is a good idea as the actors in the games are perfect. Also, every character not mentioned (Tilly, Strauss, Eagle Flies, Bonnie, De Santa etc) I think should be played by a newcomer actor. My aim here was to make the casting as realistic as possible so I’ve tried casting some less known actors. I’ve also left out Irish specifically as I think this character should be cut out of a TV adaption and replaced by Uncle as I don’t think Irish would work as well on TV. Why i dislike Death Stranding.-UNR
This is probably and litterally my 20th time trying to play both DS1 and DS2 on my PS5pro. I'm a huge MGS fan, but that game has things that i really don't understand:
■ Cryptic-confusing story and lore (i only understood the post apocalyptic idea and sam trying to connect united cities of america with some character introductions and things here and there), but again seems more confusing and complex than MGS which is not basically a good thing.
■ No thrilling or action moments in the cutscenes.
■ Normal soundtrack (unlike most MGS games)
■ Despite the slow pacing, the gameplay loop has a very big problem which is being BORING (the delivery concept being the main focus of the game).
■ Too much HUD and written info + never ending dialougue through the whole first 3 chapters (im sure nothing will change until the game ends).
■ MGSV had a dynamic difficulty since the game changed it's design to open-world free inflitration, why Death Stranding has a difficulty choice? This means the devs didn't put effort to raise the enemy AI to me at least.
■ Graphics during cutscenes is good, but during gameplay im feeling something off either in physics/animations or both lighting and textures compared to MGSV on Fox Engine. The game has a strange rubber look, MGSV had amazing textures (almost photorealstic). It could be the poor art direction as well.
■ Controls: again, more complex and confusing than even MGSV, although im using a dualsense edge, it seems you need like 20 fingers playing this game.
■ Sam has like 25 boxes over his arms and back, which makes it very very hard avoiding the mules, or even dodging while in combat.
■ Norman reedus (sam) is probably the worst character i have ever seen in a video game/movie period. Even Jin Sakai in Ghost of Tsushima had better character than him.
■ Terrible writing in story and character names (Fragile? deadman? Die-hardman? Tarman? Wtf?)
I can go on and on writing and wondering how terrible this product is. It's either Kojima means to shit on gamers or he was on something while directing this.
Im a 32 years old man who plays video games even before the PS1 exists. Im a Kojima/Shinkawa fan more than anyone else here. The points i mentioned are agreed by many former video gamers and MGS fans who tried Death Stranding.
I remember reaching chapter 5 once and feeling the same, and chapter 4 in DS2. The total hours i played both games surpasses 2 or 3 Resident Evil games COMBINED.
I want people to discuss this without any offense. If we go on paying our valued money to crap like this, major distributors will put ZERO effort in producing something good. The same exact thing is happening in the movie industry. When was the last time i enjoyed a video game or a movie? Probably 10 years ago. I have platinumed MGSV and the first 2 MSX games of Master Collection Vol 1. Im going to platinum MGS 1-3 and wait for Vol 2 to platinum 4 and Peace Walker.
I'm still holding myself of being hyped for OD and Physint if Death Stranding is THAT bad in my eyes.

Norman Reedus wakes up as Sam Porter Bridges before the beginning of the first game. How the hell can he survive the entirety of 1? He is not a repatriate and probably has above average human abilities since he’s an action star.
Round 1: He never really paid attention to the script during motion capture a few years back.
Round 2: He kind of remembers what Kojima told him about the games.
Round 3: He knows a lot about the games he starred in.

I've said it before but it's a new year. NORMAN REEDUS. Any era. Any movie. Any age.-UNR
I still think about Silent Hills.-UNR
I want to emphasize that I am extremely grateful for this Silent Hill renaissance we’ve been having in the 2020s. Whether it be the new games, the SH2 remake, the general fact more eyes on this franchise makes me happy. But I can’t help but continue to think about what could have been with Silent Hills.
It is a tragedy that horror fans were robbed of what really should have been a slam dunk in every way. A new terrifying game that built off P.T. with Kojima at the helm, Norman Reedus as its main character, and being written by Guillermo Del Toro? It’s literally perfect.
I’m glad that these guys came together and made Death Stranding, which is a cool game in its own right, but it’s not Silent Hills. And I don’t think that feeling will ever go away.
I know that a game cancellation is usually a permanent nail in a project but if there was one and only one game that could be brought back from the dead, I’d want it to be Silent Hills.

refund denied. i want to appeal it so i can get my money back-UNR
bought death stranding directors cut yesterday thinking it was the right time, played it, realized it just wasnt. tried getting it refunded, refund request got denied.
i got 50 gamerscore which if anything screwed me over. so now ive been trying to get it appealed, but the ai just wont help me, and the ai wont get an actual person on the line, im considering calling my bank in hopes that they can get me my $14 back and get "norman reedus the amazon delivery driver" refunded. didnt recieve a "proper" refund denial email either. and yes i know this type of thing gets posted about A LOT, and i know the refund policy isnt like steam.
