Before the year ends, here’s the awaited Helluva Boss MEGA review!-UNR

https://ift.tt/VxhQlGF

As we end the year of 2024, allow me to end it with a full review of Helluva Boss!

First off:

  • Murder Family!

Albeit the weakest episode imo. I liked it, but to be fair it’s the first episode of Season One aside from the pilot. Blitzo gets to deal with Mayberry, a kindergarten teacher who died of a murder-suicide because her husband cheated on her with another woman, but turns out that the woman, whom we later get to know her as Martha, somehow survived and got compensation money. Obviously the earlier episodes were heavily focused on the dark comedy side of things and we get to see IMP do what they do best: Kill people who deserve it.

And we also get our first glimpse at hearing Millie’s new voice actress. At first, most of us didn’t seem to like it at first, but then it later grew on us. And we also get to hear Stolas’ new voice actor which sounds more sophisticated and refined while Millie’s more southern and rough. I don’t really got anything else to say so..I’ll give this episode a 4.5/10

Next up: Everyone’s favorite episode, Loo Loo Land!!

In this episode, we get introduced to two new characters and a our look into a redesign of Stella that’ll stay concurrent throughout the series. First, we meet a young Octavia who had a nightmare about her father, Stolas going missing and Stolas comforting her by singing her a lullaby that’s a fantastical musical number “You Will Be Okay” (it’s fucking awesome). In this song, Stolas tells her that even if he’s gone or if something bad happens, he will always be with her in spirit and reassure her that she’ll be alright. (Now that I think about it, this can be seen as foreshadowing)

Fast foward to the present day, we see an older Octavia hearing a woman yelling in the distance, only to soon find out that it’s Stella yelling at Stolas for cheating on her with an imp. Once she leaves, Stolas decides to take Octavia to Loo Loo Land, and decides to bring Blitzo and the IMP crew as bodyguards so they don’t get kidnapped and killed. This is where we later get introduced to another character and an antagonist named Fizzarolli, and we get more lore that this is a ripoff carnival of Lucifer’s carnival named Lu Lu World, and we get hints of the Sin of Greed, Mammon. Overall, a 7/10.

Third Episode: Spring Broken

Where we get introduced to everyone’s favorite seductive succubus pop star, Verosika Mayday, and her fellow bodyguard named Vortex, a Hellhound that can transform into a human, same with Verosika. We soon find out that she was Blitzo’s girlfriend at one point and he seemed pretty embarrassed about it. It was a pretty funny episode considering that this entire episode is basically about Blitzo fighting over a fucking parking space. Overall 6.5/10

Episode Four: Cherub!

Another weak episode imo, but it does give us some insight into how Heaven operates. The Cherubs in the Angel Hierarchy are the second-highest below the Seraphims. Meaning that the Cherubs are directly below beings like Sera and Emily. We get to meet three new characters: Loopty, his nemesis/sidekick, and Wally Wackford. Loopty’s sidekick is pretty much he’s your typical slapstick villains who don’t care about the poor (think of Doctor Eggman) and Loopty wants him dead, but then it turns out that Loopty wanted him dead so he can reunite with him in Hell. A 5.5/10 for me.

Now we get into Episode 5: The Harvest Moon Festival!

We get introduced to the Wrath Ring, where every single year, they celebrate a special event known as the Harvest Moon Festival. The festival seems like a mixture of Thanksgiving and Halloween. And we get introduced to everyone’s favorite villain: Striker! Who was voiced by none other than Norman Reedus at the time!

This episode was moreso a Moxxie-focused episode as Striker tries to impress everyone, including Blitzo to the point where he offers him to join IMP, which frustrates Moxxie because he feels like he’s being replaced. Only to find out that Striker is a bounty hunter and uses a special angelic weapon similar to Vaggie (which we now know that he bought it from Carmilla) that is used to kill demon royalty. He overpowers both Moxxie and Millie and gets prepared to shoot Stolas, but Blitzo intervenes before having an infamous interesting talk about how Blitzo could use his independence to fight against the higher ups, which pretty much also reveals that Striker is like Blitzo. Afterwards, we find out that Striker was actually working for none other than Stella. Overall, a 9.5/10.

Now onto Truth Seekers, by far the most interesting episode where we delve deep into Blitzo’s and Moxxie’s history. In this episode, we learn that Blitzo has a case of an inferiority complex, especially considering Imps are at the bottom of the barrel aside from Hellhounds, and Blitzo views Stolas as a deity who is untouchable. Which made some people wonder that this is probably why Blitzo always stalks Moxxie and Millie. Because they are the ideal relationship that Blitzo wants, but he is also scared because of what people will think of him and is afraid of getting too close to them (we’ll get to that later). And for Moxxie, we get insight that he’s afraid of rejection, so he’s willing to do anything to win Millie over.

A 10/10 for me

Now we get to the finale of Season 1: Ozzie’s!

Oh boy, this episode. Where we FINALLY get introduced to the REAL Fizzarolli as well as a brand new sin: The sin of Lust, Asmodeus!

Moxxie plans to bring Millie on a date for their anniversary and Blitzo wants to come, mostly because he doesn’t want to feel left out and lonely, so he decides to bring Stolas along. And this..is where things get messy. Once inside, Stolas asks Blitzo why after all this time he decided to finally bring Stolas out on a date, only to be interrupted by a familiar voice: Fizzarolli. Only this time, it’s not a robotic replica. It’s the real deal.

After a good few minutes, we get introduced to the big man himself: Asmodeus. And we also get reintroduced to a few other characters in the past episodes such as Verosika and Wally after Blitzo accidentally exposes himself because he was willing to defend Moxxie. They both get shunned out and their relationship exposed. Which embarrasses the hell out of Blitzo, and was pretty much the one thing that he feared the most: Blitzo being seen as a different person. And it was also revealed that Asmodeus and Fizzarolli are also in a relationship!

Now onto Season 2.

I’ll just summarize my thoughts on Season 2 from here on out because I don’t want this to be a big ass long post lmao.

I…liked Season 2. A lot. Especially after Sinsmas and Mastermind. Although people have some valid complaints and reasons why they don’t like certain plot points and characters, Let me just preface this by saying: This isn’t a story about other characters such as Stella or Verosika. No. This is a series about Blitzo, an independent Imp who is willing to fight against the corrupt classist, racist system of Hell and how Stolas also wants to relate to Blitzo. Because throughout Season 2, we’re shown that in the episode of Apology Tour and Full Moon, Stolas wants to live the life of a normal denizen in Hell without a care of using his status as an excuse. Which is ironically what Stolas got in Mastermind. Now Stolas is able to walk amongst the Imps for 100 years.

Which is the start of Stolas’ life crumbling down as when we get to Sinsmas, that’s exactly what happens as..we get to see into Octavia’s life; Octavia feels like she was being lied to this entire time and felt utterly betrayed by her father because she promised him to never leave her. And this was all the way back in Episode 2 of Season 1. And Octavia tried to forgive her dad time and time again, but Stolas kept making the same mistake, which in her eyes now, means that Stolas, her own father, never truly cared about her.

Octavia doesn’t like how her mother acts and neither her uncle. All she wants is just a normal family, which is what Stolas admitted to Stella back in Ozzie’s. It was clear that at the start of Season 2, neither Stolas or Stella liked each other and the only person who he cared about was Blitzo, so his father, Paimon decided to buy Blitzo. Stolas obviously cares about both his daughter and Blitzo, but it’s a matter of who he cares about the most. Because in Octavia’s eyes, her dad cares more about Blitzo than herself or her mother.

Stolas needs to choose one or the other. But knowing how this story might go: I think Stolas might end up with Blitzo because in Mastermind, he was WILLING to give up his life, status, and power to be with Stolas. And now Stolas regrets it.

I might get flamed for saying this but:…Stolas deserved it. He’s willing to risk his own life to save what is considered in the eyes of a Goetia and a Sin, a slave. Stella may be rude and bitchy, but after learning about all of this: Both Stella and Andrealphus thinks that Stolas is not worthy of being a Goetia. And I think they’re right. Mainly because all Stolas cares about is his daughter and Blitzo.

Overall, I LOVE this series and I can’t wait to see what Season 3 and 4 has in store! Especially Stella’s backstory.

And Happy Early New Year’s!

The outline for the first season of my pitch for a Once Upon a Time revival. Once Upon a Time Ragnarok.-UNR

https://ift.tt/QClU4FE
  • The first episode of S1 would open with a man washing up on the shores of Winterhaven. A town on an island off the coast of NewFoundLand Canada. The man in question named John Doe (Voiced by Jeremy Renner) doesn't have any memory of who he was before he came to the island. Sometime after he wakes up though, he is found by the mayor's daughter, Mavis, who claims that not only is she John Doe's sister, but also that the town has fairytale characters under a curse. John doesn't believe her at first, and decides to leave, but after seeing some were clues in the island beaches caves, but also when a photographer, Henry Miller, comes to the island claiming the same thing.

  • So he decides to stay, the three of them working together to find out the truth, while John also tries to piece together who he was, before he came to the island. So it's kindof a parallel plot to S1 and S7, however, the difference being that to protagonist, doesn't know who he is either, infact, he doesn't even remember what his life in our world was like at all to begin with before he came to the island. As for the residents, they would be...mostly the side characters from the original series that didn't get enough focus along with some new characters.

  • For example, Loki (who's female and voiced by Rose Reynolds) is the owner of a Pawn shop, basically kind of takes Mr. Golds role in the original show, but at the sametime not really, Red Riding Hood and her son own a diner, Red taking her grandmother's role while her Son, Sapphire has the role she had in the original series, though unlike her when she was younger, Sapphire is a shy and soft spoken kid who just wants to get through school and stay out of trouble as much as possible, Elsa is the principal of the school, her sister Anna, lives with her and is a bit of a trouble maker, with the two not having the best relationship, Merida is the gym coach, same with Mulan, Prince Charming is the head of the Police department, his son going to the same school Mavis goes to, Jasmine is a teacher at the school, Ariel works at the docks after the death of her husband, and Kristoff owns and runs a Bakery.

  • As for the new characters, Willy Wonka (voiced by Donald Glover)....is homeless and living on the streets, same with Jack Frost (voiced by Grant Gustin), Hiccup (yes, Hiccup from How to Train Your Dragon (voiced by John Krasinski)) is wheel chair bound and works at his deceased dad's autoshop, Goldilocks (voiced by Hailee Steinfeld), lives with her family, the three bears, at a bed and breakfast, John Watson (yes, that John Watson (voiced by Troy Baker)) is a therapist, and Rapunzel (voiced by Candice Patton) teaches a private art class, as well as volunteers at the mental institution, where she looks over Flynn Rider (from Tangled (voiced by Dev Patel)), the only other person who remembers his old life, but everyone thinks he's crazy, so he's locked up in a tower in the asylum.

  • The Mayor, is Albert U. Cardinal, Mavis adopted dad, who if you couldn't tell, is Dracula, and the one we are led to believe put there characters under a new curse, and him and John Doe don't exactly get along. Anyways, the first season is only 13 or 16 episodes long, which will be the case with this series, so I won't be going to in-depth.

  • The main important stuff is that Rapunzel and Eugene/Flynn Rider are sort of the new Snow White and Prince Charming of the series, with most of the flashbacks in the episodes focusing on them and there relationship. However, they wouldn't be the only ones we focus on. As we learn, Van Helsing (voiced by Pierce Brosnan) puts a team together consisting of Rapunzel, Merida, Hiccup, and Jack Frost. So the flashbacks also focus on the friendship between these four. We get episodes focused on other characters. Such as Anna and Elsa who are sort of the new Red Riding Hood type characters in the sense that they share a close bond with Rapunzel, much like how Snow White and Red Riding Hood shared a close bond in the main show (at least for the first three seasons), and we get two episodes with them, one being basically a retelling of the first Frozen film, the big differences being that Rapunzel and her other three friends are there, and that the ice blast to the heart turns Anna evil, but Elsa is able to return her to her former self in the end, the other is one on the second film, but more on that later, an episode on Mad Hatter where we learn Dracula threw him and Regina into the Mentel institution due to the risk involved in keeping them around, with these flashbacks basically be episode 5 of Moonknight, but with Sebastan Stan as the Mad Hatter, and his grown up daughter would appear in the present day, teaming up with Henry to save him, but it fails and leads to Hatter's death, and we also get one on Red trying to find more of her species, leading to the black and white world Frankenstein is from, where she has a run in with Wolfman (voiced by Norman Reedus), and an episode focus on Loki and some of the Norse gods, mainly Thor and Balder.

  • Throughout these episodes, we also meet the elusive Professor James Moriarty, who in this universe, is a masked Vigilante of sorts, with a metallic steampunk mask, a green and black suit with a hood, and he carries with him a Vampire slaying sword. His character also takes some cues from Tanjiro from Demon Slayer. As in an episode, we learn Moriarty's motivations are at first to save his sister from Vampirism, but it fails after he loses her, and he slowly starts to become the more traditional Moriarty from literature. We see his rivalry with Sherlock Holmes (voiced by Mahersha Ali) in these flashbacks as well.

  • But the special episode would be an 1 hour long episode, and the third to last episode of the season, simply titled "Atohallan", the episode in question covering the events of Frozen 2, and would be entirely set in the fairytale world with only three flash forwards, one in the opening, one in the middle, and one in the end. This episode would be split into three plots. Plot 1, focusing on the Big Four (Rapunzel, Merida, Jack Frost, and Hiccup) plus Eugene, going on a quest to the Enchanted Forest (not THE Encanted Forest, the one from Frozen 2) after Hiccup hears a singing voice calling him there, he also learn, Hiccup is depressed, as he recently lost his wife, Astrid, and his friends think this quest could help him out of this rut. Plot 2 is Anna and Elsa, and...is mostly the same as the second film, the only difference being no Olaf and Anna and Kristoff are already married by this point, and Plot 3 is Red's son Sapphire, along with Wolfman, and Sapphires friend, Moana (voiced by her VA from the actual movies), escorting a women named Honeymaren (voiced by Sasha Calle) to Atohallan, she believes there's something there she needs that can help her.

  • There would be a lot of twist from the original Frozen 2. For starters, The Spirits and Northuldra, don't exists, instead, the Enchanted Forest is closer to the road to the wishing star from Puss in Boots the Last Wish, with the first changing depending on however has the map, also, the Isles of Berk, take the role the Northuldra had in the original film, as we learn Anna and Elsa's dad is actually from Berk, while the mom was from Arrendelle. We also learn that Anna and Elsa's granddad, basically poisoned the Chief of Berk at the time, and used special crossbow bolts, to enrage the Dragons and attack Berk, this backfired however, and led to his downfall, while Agnarr and Iduna escaped the island, Bruni, the fire lizard, is now a species of dragon called...well...Bruni's, and Nokk, the water horse, is actually something Jack Frost creates, to help Elsa cross the dark sea to Atohallan, and finally, Elsa's need to not want to be queen and separate herself from her sister, will actually be meant to be a bad thing. As it shows she's willing to regress back to the person she was, rather then continuing to let people in, and finding that balance, between magic and humanity, and it will ultimately be the Big Four, that make her realizes that this is wrong.

  • Also, Elsas powers, are now tied to the Norse Gods, and the seasons of the year, with her and Jack, both being the Gaurdians of Winter, Anna and Kristoff being the Gaurdians of Summer, Hiccup and Merida being the Gaurdians of Autumn, and Rapunzel and Eugene being the Gaurdians of Spring. Anyways, they also fine out that and old nemesis, Pitch Black (voiced by Tom Cavanagh), got himself trapped in Atohallan, because venture too deep, as well as stayed there for too long, and now, he needs someone else to take his place. Choosing Elsa, as she begins to freeze like she did in the original film. However we learn this was all a ploy from Loki, and here, it's revealed in a twist, that Loki, is not the OG, but instead someone else who took the mantle, in the form of Alice from S7, and, with help from Jack and the Spirit of Rumblestilskin (who ends up being the show version, of the wind spirit, Gale) defeat Pitch Black, Loki/Alice, imprisoning herself in Atohallan, until the day comes when she's needed again. Now freed, Elsa along with Jack, Rapunzel, Merida, Hiccup, Kristoff, and Eugene stop a giant tsunami that Pitch created from destroying Arrendelle. The kingdoms of Berk and Arrendelle, becoming allies once more, along with Dubroch and Corona.

  • It's revealed in a twist that Honeymaren, is actually Chani from Dune, and that she came to this world, because she believe Atohallan holds the key to save her world, from a tyrannical dictator, named Paul Atriedes, setting up the villain of next season. Elsa forgives her for lying to them, and gives her a piece of Atohallan (which turns out to have a special version of the Spice) believing it will help. As she returns to Dune. Also, it should be mention, while it won't be revealed till next season, Hiccup and Elsa end up in a romantic relationship, and while Elsa is hesitant to leave Arrendelle for him, Anna gives her her permission and consent to do so, with Elsa leaving to Berk to be with Hiccup, and Anna and Kristoff becoming Queen and King of Arrendelle.

  • the stuff in the present day throughout all these episodes would obviously relate to what's happening in the past in some way. Whether it be helping the present day counterparts or stuff like that, just like the first season of the main show. The final episode is when all is revealed, as the flashbacks this time around, are set after S7, where we learn, after Regina merged all the realms into one. Dracula, salty as ever, wanted to destroy all she had built, and so he and Moriarty teamed up to go back in time and make two trips, the first is to kill Mother Gothel from S7 when she was younger, making that alternate world, into one with no Gothel, which erases S7 from continuity, however, unbeknownst to them, Alice snuck on, and in the past, found Loki's crown, becoming the new Loki, and effectively surviving the timeline reset. There second trip, was shortly after S6, in which, Moriarty used a Genie lamp, to gain the power of the Dark One, however, he also uses the Genie lamp, to give Rumble and Belle the happy life he feels they deserve, with his memories being erased, and finally, Dracula kills Zelena, and uses the Lamp to erase Storybrooke, and send the residents to a pocket dimension where they will live out there lives forever, Emma, Henry, and Hook escaping in a similar manner to S3A, with Regina wiping there memories, and replacing it with a new happy life.

  • This is where we get the big twist, that John Doe is Professor James Moriarty, and that he was the true one that created the new curse as the new Dark One. However, it's revealed Dracula knew this, and right before the curse was enacted, Dracula used a device to send Moriarty forward in time, so he could have the power alone. However, it backfired as Moriarty ended up in Winterhaven anyways, knocking his head on a rock when he entered the future, which wiped out all his memories. However he put a curse on Moriarty, that if his memories came flooding back, he would into an eternal sleep. Which as you can guess, Mavis performs an act of true love, after her, Henry, Regina, and Loki/Alice deal with Dracula, who retreats to his mansion after being defeated, and this lifts the curse, restoring everyone's memories.

  • the big cliffhanger ending, is Henry sending a postcard to Emma and Hook, plus Henry's wife (later revealed to be Drizella from S7) , and the big reveal that Moriarty is no longer the Dark one, and that the new Dark Ones are Snow White and Prince Charming.

I'm only on season 3 of TWD and wanted to know anyone that has seen the episode of ride with norman reedus and Melissa, do they talk at all about spoilers for future episodes? Not sure if they would or would stick just to conversations about themselves. Thanks!

  3. In 2015, Gillian Anderson told the Guardian that there were "definitely periods" where she and her The X-Files costar David Duchovny "hated each other." She added, "Hate is too strong a word. We didn't talk for long periods of time. It was intense, and we were both pains in the arse for the other at various times."
  4. In 2016, Diane Kruger told BuzzFeed that her Troy costar Peter O'Toole "wasn't very pleasant" to work with.

  7. In 2014, Jennie Garth confirmed longstanding rumors of an on-set feud with her Beverly Hills, 90210 costar Shannen Doherty to E! News. She said, "We were locked in this sound stage for 14-16 hours every day. There were times when we loved each other, and there were times when we wanted to claw each other's eyes out."
  8. In a 2017 YouTube video, Ashley Tisdale revealed that she and her High School Musical costar Lucas Grabeel "hated each other" while filming.

  10. In 2014, Freddie Prinze Jr. told ABC News, "I did 24. It was terrible. I hated every moment of it. Kiefer [Sutherland] was the most unprofessional dude in the world. That's not me talking trash, I'd say it to his face. I think everyone that's worked with him has said that. I just wanted to quit the business after that. So, I just sort of stopped."
  11. In his 2014 memoir Neil Patrick Harris: Choose Your Own Autobiography, Neil Patrick Harris reportedly called his Purple People Eater costar Dustin Diamond "one of the more unpleasant people in show business."

So Norman Reedus is afraid of horses right? Makes me wonder how they filmed the scene around the 13th minute of the episode where Daryl walks up to the horse with the rope. Was the horse CGI? Or did they actually have Norman Reedus face his fear and be around the horse?

What would really happen if a hiker did the "Death Stranding" approach to hiking in the wilderness?-UNR

https://ift.tt/i5WzwGR

Norman Reedus' character, Sam, travels across the entire United States on foot, delivering packages along the way. This is his approach to hiking:

  • Exclusively drinks Monster energy drink (the black can with the green label).
  • He drinks 1 to 4 cans after waking up to prepare for the hike.
  • He drinks from a 1-liter canteen filled with Monster energy drink while he hikes. The canteen converts rainwater into Monster energy drink.
  • The only food he eats are these little grub things that are filled with protein. He jams handfuls of them into his mouth.
  • He frequently hikes up and down slopes that are up to 70 degrees.
  • He can hike even without shoes, although his feet will become cut and bleeding. This can cause him to roll down embankments and drop all of his cargo. His character gets angry when this happens.
  • He does all of this while carrying up to 240lbs of cargo on his back.

If a real-life hiker tried this approach to hiking, even without the packages, what would happen to them? What would the main obstacles be, even without the cargo? Is this hiking strategy feasible from a physical standpoint?

EDIT: Sam is a man approximately in his mid 30s, and is 5"10 170lbs. If that is relevant.

EDIT 2: This approach is unsafe and unsustainable for numerous reasons. It's dangerous, and going by the comments, very stupid. 🤦‍♀️

Highlights/Segments-UNR

https://ift.tt/vxeN9Ks

I had weird segments of dreams today. The farthest I can remember was me at my sister's house. The first dream or so were important. I had a dream I was with prue from charmed. She was buying an aqua, light blue top. I then had a dream I was with paige from charmed in a creepy liminal place. Norman reedus was there. I was looking for a place to piss, sitting on a public toilet while constipated. I strained in the dream, then woke up to feel the exact same sensation when I went to the bathroom. It looked like I was in a mall. A storefront was around me, probably. There was a large panel of glass with a decal on it. Across from me was a hall, where a scary poster of sulley from monster's inc hung. The bottom half was covered by a logo/font of his name, masking his feet. It was the same render from the fritolay standee my family owns. It was placed on the left wall, to the liminal hall upahead. Two husky dogs approached me. I had white string cheese in my hand, tearing it into pieces and feeding it to the animals around me. Most were racoons. After this, I was at the zoo. I was with my partner, sitting at a table and reading xmas catalogs. And or just regular catalogs. We had just been walking with a group, annoying the teacher. She was a old lady. I took notice of a pamphlet on the floor, with a hawaiian woman on it. She had purple lipstick on. A similar nude lipstick was on the floor. I grabbed the paper, examining it. Reading what the lady had to say. She worshipped an ancient goddess. I felt my partner stand over me. The teacher likely grew more annoyed at me, wanting us to follow her. I then had another dream, where I was at my sister's house again. I stood in the kitchen, seeing casserole dishes of food. Two of them, one fell onto the floor along with a saucer-teacup. There was no sound when it hit the ground. My dad followed me into the kitchen. A poster of bruce campbell was to the left on the wall, with a elephant trunk nose. Circus animals were above him. Down in the basement, were ghosts of french men. Along with circus animals. I was terrified, wanting to leave the room. I told my dad about the ghosts in the other room. We laid in bed and talked, cuddling. I leaned in to him, laying on his chest. He was wearing blue boxers. My grandpa sat at the right, smiling. When one of my little brother's walked in the room, he became less amused. Which is so him. I was his favorite. He loved me more than anyone. On the tv in front of us was footage from old mtv, of a brunette guy journalist. He had a wig on, showing two different shades of brown hair on his head. There was another guy as well. My dad said he had something to do with the denver nuggets. The fact that cigarettes were prominent from 40s to the 90s was important. Before I was even here, I was at home, watching once upon a time. There were two peter pan's. One in his outfit, the other from the underworld. Archived footage of peter flying, being reused. Also his shadow, voiced by marilyn manson. It was a hook episode. When my dad was alive, I was obsessed with ouat. My mom walked into the room, smiling when she saw what I was watching. She was holding our kitten in her arms.

I’ve been wanting to share this but always forgot. When characters show up, it shows their name and the actor's — and if you’re playing in another language, it shows the voice actor too. Which is a really nice touch since voice actors usually only get credited at the very end in movies and tv shows.-UNR

I don't think he ever loved her.-UNR

https://ift.tt/CmbsInZ

Yes,they randomly kissed, but on his part, it seems it was just that, an experiment kiss. ~"I thought it was an experiment, It was: 'What is this?' It wasn't a This is it! don't think there was an intention to get to second base. I thought it was more of scarily parting these curtains to look at the idea of it."~ Norman Reedus said.

"Je t'aime" she told him,and he was like:thanks? Laurent told him that Isabelle loved him,and he didn't answer. Carol then told him he loved her and... silence again.

It's obvious that he really cared about her but I personally don't think that he ever got to really fall hard for and love her. Even the days after her death (he was sad the first few hours ,obviously, lol) he seemed to act almost as if nothing had happened. I don't know..that 2 episode relationship was very random, strange and cringe.

Maybe next season he'll find another random woman to have a 2 episode relationship in Spain!

The Lack of Media Literacy in This Fandom is Concerning -UNR

https://ift.tt/rPbv42B

I’ve noticed for a very long time now that there are some really, REALLY media illiterate people in this fandom. Before I start I want to say that I do not think Helluva Boss is a perfectly written show. It has its flaws. However, a lot of the things that people seem to get wrong or complain about genuinely astounds me.

First and for most I want to say that Vivziepop is not obligated to spoon feed you character motivations, backstories and explanations within the span of one episode. As the audience, you should be able to pick up on subtext and nuance THEMSELVES.

I see a lot of complaints revolving around certain things not being explained, when said thing will most likely be explained in a future episode. Or a character not completing a certain arc or having their motivations explained when, once again, that’ll most likely be covered in a future episode OVER TIME. This is a show that’s going to have around 50 episodes and we’ve only just gotten to the 19th. We’re not even HALFWAY DONE and people are expecting characters to have completely changed and undergone growth already 😭

Genuine criticisms such as tonal issues and the female characters needing more attention are things i completely understand and also agree with. But I’m not here to discuss that.

I have seen people across social media platforms completely misunderstand a character’s intentions or motives, or just blatantly making stuff up and saying it’s “poor writing”.

The whole “why is Beelzebub disgusted at Mammon eating” and “why did Stolas not explain that Stella sent an assassin out on him” frustrate me so much because if you actually WATCHED Bee’s debut episode you’d know she can taste the flavour of people around her and also encourages indulging for enjoyment, but also knows when to stop at a certain point. And as for the Stolas argument, Stolas DID NOT watch the trial. He DID NOT know what Blitz was being accused of, nor did he know Striker was there. You, as an audience member should know that Stolas automatically assumed that Blitz was probably being executed due to being exposed for using his grimoire, because he KNOWS that it’s illegal. That’s why he only alludes to the book in his song.

And don’t even get me started on the “they ruined Striker/Fizz/Stolas/Stella” debates because we’d be here all day. Striker’s is definitely the worst because people boiled down his entire character to the fact that he was a badass cowboy voiced by Norman Reedus and then proceeded to get mad when it was shown he has a personality and character outside of that. Not only that, but he’s shown up in ONLY FOUR EPISODES. wait a while until we get to his perspective and backstories before jumping to conclusions. And the fact that everywhere you go, ANY TIME someone brings up the Striker controversy, Norman Reedus is brought up proves my point. You didn’t like Striker. You liked the idea of Striker based on the fact he was voiced by your favourite celebrity.

As for Fizz, I have seen a lot of discourse surrounding him and Ozzie being “ruined” on TikTok and Fizz being “woobified” to a “gay uwu twink who needs his big strong daddy to save him.”

I cannot even explain how dumb this is. At what point in the series apart from at the end of Mammon’s, does Fizz need Asmodeus to save him? He was able to fight alongside Blitz and distract the mafia goons just fine. He was able to stand up to Mammon all by himself. But because he has a panic attack and needed Asmodeus to comfort him, he’s suddenly ruined? People also bring up the “Crooked” song and “Burger Time” as a way of saying how they made them cringe and how they wanted Fizz to be “menacing and badass” like he was in Ozzie’s.

Does this fandom not understand the concept of characters behaving differently in different situations, depending on who they’re interacting with? Because it seems to me like this fandom has a hive mind problem. A lot of these “criticisms” are echoed over and over again. People have problems with boiling down characters to just one trait/idea and then get mad when it’s shown that said character has more nuance. Anyone who actually watches the show would know that Asmodeus is not Fizzarolli’s “alpha male who needs to protect him”. Asmodeus is a kind, gentle man who understands when his partner needs emotional support but also is able to express concern when needed. And Fizzarolli is a literal burn victim who survived a horrific accident, and was used by his abuser for over ten years purely for exploitation. Of course he acts differently onstage compared to when he’s alone with Ozzie. Those are two COMPLETELY different scenarios.

I don’t know if this is just an issue on TikTok due to “brainrot” or if there’s a genuine epidemic in media illiteracy but it’s genuinely starting to get really bad.

Helluva Boss: Origins-UNR

https://ift.tt/rPbv42B

The film begins with a flashback: The night of Fizzarolli's 16th birthday, Blitzo (Ian Armitige) is tasked by his father Cash Buckzo (Dennis Leary) to get the fireworks for the occasion. However, one thing leads to another and Blitzo and Wally Wackford end up crashing into each other, causing a massive explosion that leaves Blitzo heavily scarred and Fizzarolli (Jackson Robert Scott) a mess, as he loses his arms, legs and horns. Blitzo runs away, not aware that Fizz survived.

A few days later, Blitz (having ditched the "O" from his name, as he doesn't want to remember the explosion that destroyed his old home at Buckzo's circus) is living on the streets, he gets attacked by some punk-ish hellhounds, but is ultimately saved by Striker (Norman Reedus), who takes him in.

For the next 6 years, Blitz trains under Striker to become an assassin, whilst also beginning a relationship with Striker's daughter Verosika Mayday (Annaka Fourneret). We then cut to present day, as a now-adult Blitz (Ryan Reynolds) returns to his home in IMP City and starts up a new business called "Immediate Murder Professionals", also known as I.M.P., however, the business initially doesn't do too well due to Blitz being the only person involved with the company, making targets harder to manage.

Eventually, Blitz meets Moxxie (Michael Cera), an imp from the infamous Knolastname crime family, Moxxie ends up joining I.M.P. and we get a montage of the two of them assassinating targets. Meanwhile, Striker sees I.M.P.'s success and decides that it is time for him to make his presence known to Hell. He, with the assistance of some of his cronies, breaks into Blitz and Moxxie's shared apartment (also the base for I.M.P.), and tries to have them killed in their sleep. However, Blitz and Moxxie wake up just in the nick of time and manage to narrowly escape certain death.

The two imp's decide to lay low for a while, and end up staying at a nearby diner, where they meet Millie (Anna Kendrick), who Moxxie falls for almost immediately. Explaining the situation, Millie joins imp and they plan out an attack on Striker's base. However, the attack goes sideways, as Striker's goons overwhelm them, Moxxie and Millie are imprisoned and Blitz is taken to see Striker.

Striker reveals to Blitz that he plans to have him take over his empire and that all the attempts at killing him were just a means to see if Blitz was "worthy", Blitz refuses, angering Striker, and the two begin to fight. Meanwhile, Moxxie and Millie meet Striker's adopted hellhound daughter Loona (Zendaya Coleman), who reluctantly helps them escape.

The fight between Blitz and Striker escalates onto a train, as Blitz tells Striker that, no matter what, he will never be like him. Striker attempts to kill Blitz with his trusty angelic dagger, only for his own daughter to betray him and throw him off the train, sending Striker plummeting to his death.

Blitz adopts Loona, Moxxie asks Millie out and she agrees, and the I.M.P. crew has finally formed.

In a post-credits scene, Blitz gets a call from a mysterious number he doesn't recognize, after hearing the voice on the other end, he says "Stolas?" as the film fades to black.

Stand out element of 1999 cult classic Boondocks Saints-UNR

https://ift.tt/NBVZjMc

Recently revisited a college cult classic (for me); The Boondocks Saints

It’s wild to see Norman Reedus as anyone but Daryl Dixon but he does a great job.

On rewatching, one of my favorite aspects of the film is the credits scene showing interviews with regular people and their take on the Boo dock Saints.

It really centered the film as a street level film about decisions everyday people make. And not a super hero story requiring super powers.

Any other standout scenes or elements that make the movie stand up to modern times?
