From the cheers Keanu Reeves got in the Cyberpunk 2077 reveal and all the Reedus in Death Stranding.. I may be alone in this, but does anyone else dislike seeing well known actors'/actresses' likenesses in video games? To me it almost feels like it "cheapens" the game.. makes it less artistic, more marketing. It never bothered me that actors voice act in games and some (Mark Hamill as the Joker) are some of the most iconic acting roles that ever were. I think it might be that when I play video games I'm trying to go experience another world and when I recognize a face from this world it just breaks the experience for me. In a movie I don't get this, because I'm watching a performance... but even when I watch movies I see "Keanu Reeves playing the character Neo" and it's no different than watching a stage performance in my mind.. but when I'm playing a video game I'm interacting with these characters and I'm not an actor so it's either like "Why is Keanu Reeves still alive in 2077?" or "How did I become Norman Reedus?" Maybe I'm just crazy.. does anyone else feel like this?
