This is the first Hideo Kojima game I have played, but it's my understanding the dude is heavily involved in everything. This game is supposed to be his true expression as a game designer, unrestricted creative control. He obsessed over every piece of dialog and camera framing... Which leads to ridiculous shots of Monster cans, or an in game poster featuring "AMC’s Ride with Norman Reedus."
The last one is so bizarre. You are playing a character who is Norman Reedus looking at a post of a real show of Norman Reedus. I cannot believe someone, especially someone as notoriously obsessed as Kojima allowing this unless it contributes to some "deep message". I would say this takes me out of the game which is bad, but o does a fetus subtitling flipping off Guillermo del Toro LOL.
