Infamous 4 idea-UNR

https://ift.tt/qnczCVb

I've been replaying the Infamous series recently (Just replayed Second Son after buying it on sale) and it's got me thinking about what Infamous 4 could look like. Sucker Punch wrote themselves into a corner with Infamous 2's good ending that a lot of fans would agree they failed to write their way out of with Second Son. But seeing as Infamous 1 already introduced time travel and alternate timelines into the setting, why not use these concepts to make a canon continuation of I2's evil ending?

A story where, sometime after the events of Second Son, Delsin absorbs time travel powers like Kessler's, accidentally travels to the "evil Cole" timeline and joins a resistance against him. Then pick it up 10 years later with Delsin on the run after the resistance failed to stop Cole (who has become a reclusive Colonel Kurtz figure) and his army of Conduits from taking over America. Delsin is then recruited by the remnants of the resistance (or maybe the government?) to hunt Cole down, and absorb his powers and memories to stop the end of the world.

I think this idea fits the modern PlayStation Studios house style of serious dramatic storytelling (and differentiates it tonally from Spider-Man). I know it's corny, but I'm imagining older Cole being played by Norman Reedus (he's got the voice, the attitude, and even looks like Cole without his Daryl Dixon hair), and older Delsin recast with a Native American actor like Chaske Spencer. Feel free to roast me if you think these ideas suck.

I saw Ballerina !-UNR

https://ift.tt/N5OZRsf

First of all don't worry, spoilers will be hidden, in the post as well as in comments !

I was at the Paris premiere on May 28th, with Ana de Armas and Len Wiseman.

And Ballerina is a really good movie ! I would give it a 8/10.

Don't go see it expecting it to be John Wick 4.5, it is not. It's a movie from the world of Wick, with the usual codes, fights, and all the elements that makes John Wick movies good as they are, but it's not a John Wick, it's a spin off. A REALLY good one, but a spin-off.

The fights are really great, we get to see a liiiitle bit more of how the Underworld works(a scene in Winston office where he gets informations, I find it so simple but so great), and as always, the musics are incredible.

However, there's some downsides : the story is ok, nothing spectacular but not boring, except for one thing. That thing being, in the middle of the film, Eve finds out about her sister, who works with the main antagonist, and it really feels kinda pushed on us, the film want us to feel bad for the sister. But we saw her a total of 40 seconds before this, and she dies litteraly mid-sentence while trying to recruit Eve. And I find that really unecessary, at least for me. Also, the very drama that is used with the character of Eve, meaning the death of her father who was part of the main antagonist organization, is litteraly used the exact same way for the character of Norman Reedus, and I think it's kind of a waste.

We also see some kind of rythm problems, sometimes the movie is too slow, especially in the last part, and I think it could be related to the production hell the film had to endure. Last thing that is a very dark point for me : there's a MASSIVE lore hole that will need to be adressed in the future. This hole being WHY THE HELL JOHN WICK HELPED THE RUSKA ROMA ??? The film was announced to be after John Wick 3, and in the movie, they LITTERALY added a scene where Eve listen through the door when John got his ticket torn by the Director, meaning he was DONE with the Ruska Roma, at least until John Wick 4. HOWEVER, the film also specifically say that when John is sent to kill Eve, it's more than 2 MONTHS after he came to the theater of the Ruska Roma, so more than 2 months after the battle of the Continental and his rescue by the Bowery King ! So my question still stands : WHY THE HELL JOHN ANSWERED THE CALL FROM THE DIRECTOR ?? It needs to be adressed in a future movie or the "Under the High Table" TV show, because the Director just HAD to promise John something in order to make him say yes but right now we have no fucking answer and it drives me crazy that there's just a hole like that

Overall it's a really good movie, we got another banger from LeCastleVania, the famous club scene is SO good, and we got some callbacks from some of the most famous kills throughout the saga !We got another kill with a thrown axe, simply marvelous !This movie is also Lance Reddick final appearance, and he leaves us with a very good final note.

I truly hope this movie will do great numbers, because I want to see a Ballerina 2, with less production problems and a better story, but I kinda get a feeling that press will be harsh with the movie, because, as I said, I suspect they will treat it as a John Wick 4.5, and not a dedicated spin-off. But we'll see

Ballerina (2025) Behind the Scenes – Ana de Armas & Keanu Reeves-UNR

How do FTWD show cast/crew feel about regular TWD?-UNR

https://ift.tt/Qr5nPoS

Just always been curious. Are there any interviews/hints that explain how people cast or crew feel about one show compared to the other? Do they view regular TWD as the show they wished they were on? Like the parent show? Like playing in the minor leagues trying as hard as they can to make the big leagues? Or do they view FTWD to be the superior show anyway? Just a simple curiosity about the “climate” behind the scenes and on set of AMC.

Eg. Lennie James (Morgan) on set bragging to other cast members about his time playing Morgan on the “real show” alongside Andrew Lincoln and Norman Reedus. “This is nothin guys, back in my time with the “real show” we were treated like kings. The security and privacy when shooting was massive and we had a full 5 star banquet every single day of shooting”. This is just an example not an actual quote. It could be the other way around for all I know.

TLDR: just an odd curiosity about the “prestige” of having worked on either show. Or maybe the budget for each of them is the biggest telltale

jiggle physics-UNR

https://ift.tt/Qr5nPoS

I just really hate this phrase and the whole thing of it. I wish I could say I'd be fine if it was even and fair, if we got to see Arthur Morgan's balls rattle around in his pants or a perfect rendition of Norman Reedus' asscheeks clapping together when he runs as Sam. But I don't need those things. I don't play video games with my genitals in my hand. I don't need games that are supposed to be about battle and danger to have the option to turn up or down the amount her ass that shows through her armor jiggles. In fact, I don't want these things at all. Only specific people do, and these are the specific people I try to stay away from in real life and elsewhere.

I literally couldn’t get into the game because I just don’t like the actor and now I’m really annoyed because the sequel is looking amazing but I can’t get past not liking Norman Reedus.

Collab suggestions : Death Stranding-UNR

https://ift.tt/MoOGYvZ

If we get the chance to fill out surveys let's request this collab. So here is my rough idea

Punishing: Gray Raven × Death Stranding collab could look like if Kuro Games somehow pulled it off and Kojima gave the greenlight:

Event Name: "Chiral Fracture"

“The strands of connection have rotted. The Bridge is no longer safe.” — Liv: Lux, collab intro dialogue

Collab Structure

Duration: 3 weeks

Main Theme: Isolation, connection, and rebirth

Event Mechanics: Exploration-heavy with “cargo delivery” sub-missions, timefall events, and avoiding or fighting BTs (Beached Things)

Visual Style: Misty mountain zones, decayed bridges, black goo trails, floating bodies in the sky, chiral crystals

New Collab Construct:

Sam: Porter – S-Rank Construct (Transcendant)

Role: Hybrid Support / Melee

Weapon: Electrified cargo case + floating mechanical arms

Ult: BB pulses with a shockwave, stunning enemies, while Timefall rain empowers Sam’s damage and mobility

Passive: Gain stacks of "Connection" from dodging and delivering cargo in missions—boosts party healing and shield

Design: Sam in his signature blue Bridges suit, glowing strands across his gear, with a floating BB capsule glowing on his chest

VA: Norman Reedus re-records lines for JP and EN

Free A-Rank Construct:

Fragile: Courier of Shadows

Role: DPS

Weapon: Throwing chiral knives and teleport-style blink dashes

Ult: Teleports around the field slicing enemies in a chain reaction, ends with a kneeling “timefall prayer” pose

Boss Stage: BT Abomination

Massive black goo humanoid made of corrupted Punishing virus + chiral matter

Fights use unique mechanics: hiding behind terrain to avoid BT detection, holding breath, dodging invisible grab attacks

Mid-fight twist: Lee, Vera, or Liv shows up late—infected—and you have to purge the infection in a cinematic QTE before they turn

Event Storyline Summary

PGR Squad intercepts strange "Strands" in a collapsed zone.

Liv starts hearing “BB’s” heartbeat.

Watanabe warns that “the dead don’t stay dead here.”

Sam appears through a “fragile jump,” warning of a timefall fracture between their worlds.

Constructs question the idea of “life, rebirth, and carrying hope” in a place where everyone dies.

Vera offers to help Sam find a way back—but only if he helps her study the virus's connection to the “Chiral Network.”

Cosmetics / Extras

Coatings:

2B-style black coat for Sam

BT Goo suit for Lucia

MULE exosuit for Chrome

Furniture Set: Safehouse interior w/ BB pod, hologram shower, and floating delivery lockers

Ornaments: BT hanging from a chiral strand

Login Bonus: BB capsule keychain for your dorm room

Soundtrack

Lo-fi, haunting acoustic vibes like Low Roar meets Vanguard Sound.

Custom Stage BGM: Remixed Low Roar – "I'll Keep Coming" with Vanguard’s eerie synths and ambient rain

Special ending cutscene features "BB's Theme" played with strings and robotic undertones.

Dialogue Highlights

Lee (to Sam): “You carry cargo. I carry guilt. We’re not so different.” Sam: “You’re lucky. Guilt weighs less than corpses.” Liv (to BB): "Are you lonely in there? ...You don't have to be." Watanabe: “Monsters made from grief? Sounds like home.”

Any information/help about the World Tour?-UNR

https://ift.tt/MoOGYvZ

I just saw the new Death Stranding 2 world tour announced earlier ( not the musical taking place later this year, Strands of harmony ).

Any idea how much the tickets cost and when they’re up for sale? Compared to the 2019 tour for those that attended. Does it work like first come first serve privileges e.g. seating arrangements ( front row etc)? Or is it like an exhibition expo (arnold classic) where you’re free to walk around wherever and whenever?

I know I sound like a noob but I have no idea how this stuff works. Only thing I’ve attended was a Playstation Concert. So I was wondering if there’s limited number of opportunities available for a meet and greet or photo.

Speaking of guests, any chance Norman Reedus would be available for meet and greet too? Because I heard Troy Baker had attended the previous one in 2019.

One long Walking Dead rant nobody asked for in the year of our lord 2025-UNR

https://ift.tt/bcNls8R

I went from someone not too long ago who couldn’t stand horror–especially zombies–to being a full dead-head in the space of a few months. I finished all of TWD in four months and now I’m halfway through S3 of FTWD as of today. I will discuss spoilers up until that point, but please avoid spoilers for anything beyond that.

The Walking Dead was phenomenal. I had no idea what I’d been missing all these years. I thought it was going to be your run of the mill drama with horror elements, filled with poorly handled tropes and weak characters and a somewhat unearned cult following. God…the characters were some of the best TV characters I’ve ever watched in a show with this much action and adventure, and especially the women, which was such a treat. The first few seasons of the show were some of the most surprising episodes of television I’ve ever watched, in large part because there was so much raw humanity on display that I found to be endlessly compelling, hopeful, uplifting, tragic and heart-wrenching.

The show evolved into something different, but I especially felt the shift around the time Negan showed up, what with all those fantasy-coded warring factions. Can you imagine one of the earlier characters like Lori in what the show became, because I sure can’t.  While the saviours arc was incredibly frustrating and hate-inducing, I was surprised that I found myself okay with letting Negan redeem himself. I really hated the guy, I really didn’t understand why so many people were simping on him, his backstory with his wife kinda made me hate him even more, lol, but he managed to make me root for him in the end. Maggie’s speech to him in the last episode was exceptionally powerful and, I felt, entirely fitting and emotionally resonant.

The Reapers were the lowest point of the show for me, and especially Leah. She was one giant walking cliche and represented the type of writing I initially thought I was going to get out of the show. The only good part about that arc was how Pope got so little opportunity to be the PoS he was before Daryl was like ‘nah.’

I actually really enjoyed the Whisperers arc, and I thought Alpha was performed spectacularly by the actress and was a very intriguing and well-conceived, formidable villain. Negan 'partnering' with her felt wonderfully like crack fanfiction- like, these two characters definitely should not be meeting and they DEFINITELY should not be f**king, but here we are. Lydia was another surprise- I thought she was going to fall into the cliche trap but the writing for her character surprised me at nearly every turn. That poor girl.

The moment we met ten year old Judith Grimes I was literally this meme:

https://preview.redd.it/8o9zxaekdzze1.jpg?width=1136&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ebdc1dc30712f73f333a24aef1af03c08ad2dd6e

The death that broke me was Carl. God…I haven’t cried like that in a very long time. Glenn’s was the most disturbing and shocking. Sasha’s was also very tragic, performed to perfection, made all the sadder for how pointless it was. We gotta shout out Rosita here as well…her goodbye to Eugene, my god. The first traumatizing death for me was Dale. He was my first fave and as soon as Shane started threatening him, I feared the end was near. He was too good for this world. Daryl (I now understand why people stan Norman Reedus) and old man Hershel also became favourites, later followed by Carol and Michonne. I'm obsessed with the portrayal of friendship between Daryle and Carol. Michonne and Rick were the best couple of the show for me; I had been shipping them long before they got together. Much later in the show, Eugene and Jerry were my boys, I will always have such a soft spot for characters like them, even though I know Jerry wasn’t given much depth or any backstory, the number of times I said out loud to an empty room “I swear to god, if Jerry dies this episode…*shakes fist threateningly*.” I will note that the show did an exceptional job of making me care about nearly every ‘good’ character, with only a few exceptions. There were some characters I started out hating who I later loved. Gabriel? Who would have thought he would become one of the most badass MF’s around. Him and Rosita? Never would have seen that coming, but they worked so well. Massive shout out to the complexity that is Carol. What a character. The last season was wild, in not the best way, with the walkers actually evolving (lol) and Pamela (lol). There’s so much more I want to say, but I won’t for fear of making this post even longer than it already is.

Now, On to FTWD. Oh boy. So I was prepared to not like this show- I was warned by all the reddit posts and articles saying it’s the weakest entry in the universe. I will say that it’s not as terrible as everyone warned me it would be, at least not yet. It’s not great either.  Nick and Daniel are two excellent characters, performed exceptionally. Most of the rest of the characters suffer from simply being uninteresting and their arcs feeling unearned/underwhelming. Yes, I despised Chris, though he helped me recognize that the show had some semblance of long-term writing efforts. For example, when I began the show and witnessed him at that violent protest, I thought he was a more radical teen SJW. The slow reveal that he actually had violent, sociopathic tendencies was actually very compelling, and while his two episode arc before his death was so angering, I also enjoyed the process of this realization of who he is and seeing his past actions through an entirely different lens. I enjoy that kind of writing, even if the execution needed a bit of work.

I wanted to like Madison. She starts the show by being fiercely loyal to her kids, including those not of blood (like that prepper kid at her school) and you can’t help but like her. I came to the realization today, halfway through S3, that I /hate/ her. If she was a DnD character, her wisdom score would be in the negative. She’s literally the last person you want on your team because she sabotages everything she lays her hand on in the most thoughtless way possible. People trust her and she played off as badass, characters acquiescing “Madison’s right,” BUT SHE’S NOT. At least with Carol, when she runs off after Alpha and gets everyone trapped in the cave, the show KNOWS she made the wrong choice, and there’s emotional karma for her, not to mention she has a massive history of trauma that puts her actions in context. With Madison, too many characters are agreeing with her, or not holding her accountable when she goes off on these thoughtless actions; Her lighting up the hotel, her killing people to get Alicia back from the Hopi Tribe. I’m rooting for the tribe, guys.

Alicia is the most boring, flat, YA character of the show- speaking as someone who loves a /good/ YA. I haven’t enjoyed anything her character has done so far, and that’s sad, because a teenage girl in the apocalypse could be interesting, if they weren’t so invested in making her a bad trope, played off as (unearned) tough/badass. Also, she didn’t seem to give a shit about Travis until he died, and now she’s throwing that death in Walker’s face saying “you don’t know how I feel,” in response to him and his people’s hundreds of years of senseless suffering at the hands of non-native people? Yeah, no. Way to make me /not/ root for you even more. Also, I don’t know if anyone else was bothered by this, but the first three character deaths in the first couple episodes of FTWD were all black men, two of whom were killed brutally by our white MC’s, and I just found that to be a huge oversight. Alnd I was so excited to see another queer romance on this show…but man, queer couples have it so rough in this universe.

Looking forward, if FTWD gets really bad, and I suspect it will considering the show icon on Prime only shows Alica and Strand remaining, I will be moving on to the other spin offs. I’m really hoping the Daryl Dixon spinoff doesn’t feel like those standalone episodes in S11 of TWD with Leah and the cabin. Those were my least favourite episodes of the entire series, because they felt so try-hard and cliched and the camera lense/ lighting was overly filtered to make it seem edgy. It didn’t have the rawness and humanity that made earlier seasons so special. I /just/ found out that there’s a Rick and Michonne show and I’m HYPED. My fingers are crossed that I enjoy the rest of the spinoffs more than FTWD, but I have faith given what little I’ve read about them.

I don’t currently know anyone IRL who’s watched the show, so if anyone has any questions or wants to share their thoughts, feel free! If anyone made it this far, thanks for reading!

this might be a stupid theory but in PT, the ghost's name is lisa (same as sam's mother's name) which is killed by her husband and what i remember is pregnant. in DS, sam's mother killed by her husband while she was pregnant too. In the end of pt, the player (which is norman reedus) comes to a town and a part of town that is shown in the ending shot is in the first knot city we go to. also, in the directors cut, sam sees a nightmare that a ghost looks like lisa in his shower. considering people with dooms sees nightmares often, could PT be another one of those nightmares sam seeing?

i know they are references but its really odd that they share similarities

r/BoxOffice Long Range Forecast: 'Ballerina' and 'The Phoenician Scheme'-UNR

https://ift.tt/LDxjqvr

Before you comment, read these two rules:

1. Please provide specific numbers for your predictions. Don't do like "It'll make less than this or that" or "double this movie or half this movie". We want a real prediction.

2. Given that a lot of parent comments do not even bother to give predictions, we are establishing a new rule. The parent comment must provide a prediction with specific numbers. The rest of the replies to the comment do not have to make a prediction, but the parent comment absolutely has to. Any parent comment without a prediction will be eliminated.

Welcome to the newest edition of r/BoxOffice Long Range Forecast.

We're making long range predictions for films, 4 weeks out from their premieres. You will predict the opening weekend, domestic total and worldwide gross of these films. These predictions will be open for 48 hours and the results will be polled to form a consensus and posted the next week.

So let's meet the two films for the week and analyze each pro and con.

Ballerina (No, we ain't including the lame long title)

The film is directed by Len Wiseman (Underworld, Live Free or Die Hard, and Total Recall) and written by Shay Hatten. It is the fifth film in the John Wick franchise, serving as a spin-off set between the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and John Wick: Chapter 4. It stars Ana de Armas, Gabriel Byrne, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Norman Reedus, Anjelica Huston, Lance Reddick, Ian McShane, and Keanu Reeves. In the film, Eve Macarro, a ballerina-assassin, begins to train in the assassin traditions of the Ruska Roma and sets out to exact revenge for her father's death.

The Phoenician Scheme

The film is produced, written and directed by Wes Anderson (too many films to single out) from a story he conceived with Roman Coppola. The film stars an ensemble cast including Benicio del Toro, Mia Threapleton, Michael Cera, Riz Ahmed, Tom Hanks, Bryan Cranston, Mathieu Amalric, Richard Ayoade, Jeffrey Wright, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Rupert Friend, and Hope Davis. In the film, wealthy businessman Zsa-zsa Korda appoints his only daughter, a nun, as sole heir to his estate. As Korda embarks on a new enterprise, they soon become the target of scheming tycoons, foreign terrorists and determined assassins.

Now that you've met this week's new releases, let's look at some pros and cons.

PROS

  • The John Wick has been incredibly profitable for Lionsgate, with each film increasing from the previous one ($86.0M > $174.3M > $328.3M > $440.1M). If you're making a spin-off, you need a big name, and Ana de Armas is a good candidate for that. The trailers emphasized everything you come to love about this franchise: badass action. Lionsgate was also smart to have Keanu Reeves appear in the film and have it promoted across social media, although the extent of his role remains a mystery.

  • Wes Anderson is one of the most recognizable directors working today. He has his own fans who will definitely pay to watch whatever he puts out. He's coming off Asteroid City, which had his biggest opening weekend domestically and closed with $54 million worldwide. The concept and marketing all look good so far.

CONS

  • Last year, Furiosa tried to expand the Mad Max universe, but it massively flopped. It's unlikely Ballerina shares the same fate, but it's a point worth considering. Spin-offs usually grab a film's best character, but here, we never met the lead character before. Ana de Armas is definitely known, but she doesn't have a lot of box office success as leading lady (Knives Out was an ensemble). While Lionsgate has placed Keanu Reeves as much as possible on the marketing, it remains to be seen how much he will appear and if that will be enough to convince more audience members to watch this. It's also gonna compete with Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning for action fans. The film also had a troubling production, to the point that it was delayed a full year; Chad Stahelski oversaw 2-3 months of reshoots and filmed the majority of the film without Wiseman being present. Now, the audience doesn't care for BTS drama, but it indicates the film is struggling with the quality.

  • Wes Anderson is iconic, but most of his films aren't box office hits (they usually profit after home media and streaming). Asteroid City opened big, but it didn't have good word of mouth to keep going. Anderson's past two films, Asteroid and The French Dispatch, were well received but reception wasn't as strong as his previous films. Will The Phoenician Scheme be different?

And here's the past results.

Movie Release Date Distributor Domestic Debut Domestic Total Worldwide Total
Final Destination: Bloodlines May 16 Warner Bros. $43,364,000 $107,184,000 $227,932,000

Bring Her Back May 30 A24 $11,326,666 $37,033,333 $71,040,000

Next week, we're predicting How to Train Your Dragon, The Life of Chuck and Materialists.

REMINDER: The Phoenician Scheme opens on May 30 on limited release, but we're focusing solely on its wide debut on June 6.

So what are your predictions for these films?
