As we all know, Hideo Kojima's been on a bit of a Godzilla high since Shin Godzilla came out. Statues, figures, posters, all that stuff, his Twitter feed is filled with everything from vinyl kits to X-Plus to him just straight up talking about the movies. It's clear that he's a fan, but this has led to minor speculation (AKA wishful thinking) that Kojima is involved in something Godzilla related.
This alone is an exciting thought, but going through his Twitter feed I found out that not only is he friends with fellow Kaiju nut Guillermo Del Toro (they were supposed to work on a Silent Hill game with Walking Dead actor Norman Reedus, who is now all muddy and naked in Kojima's Death Stranding for PS4), but one of my personal favorite directors, Nicolas Winding Refn.
I know this would never happen in a million years, but what if Kojima, Del Toro and Refn all got together and decided to do something Godzilla related (for fun, naked Norman Reedus can get in on this hot Goji action as well)? Say, Kojima handled the story, Del Toro worked on design, and Refn did the cinematography? Just let that sink in for a minute...
I don't know. I felt the need to share this wild fantasy with you guys. I'm just really excited for Death Stranding as well as whatever projects Del Toro and Refn have next, and the thought of something like this coming together really tripped me out.
