What’s up with lack of likes and the strand contract these days?-UNR
One of the best parts of playing Death Stranding 2 on release day back for PS5 was the feeling of community and collaboration. I remember setting up structures and getting thousands of likes. From that I made strand contacts with tons of people, people who had lots and lots of likes themselves. I really enjoyed seeing a familiar name lay down a structure that I relied on in a tough spot.
I decided to replay it with the recent PC release and PS5 update and hit to the wilder difficulty.
I am kind of disappointed to see this community back and forth just isn’t there anymore. My structures only get a few hundred likes, and worse is that my connections for strand contracts are all 0 and 1 likes - most with the ghostly Norman Reedus avatar.
Just doesn’t feel like there is engagement there.
Is anyone else experiencing the same? Is this just that servers between PC and PS5 aren’t shared?

Feline Fine: The Aristocats Live-Action Revival-UNR
Calling all Aristocats fans!
As a huge fan of the animated Aristocats, I'm proposing to bring back the live-action/CGI hybrid remake of The Aristocats with the casting and filming details to be added, directed by Questlove (who will be working on the soundtrack) & produced by Will Gluck under Olive Bridge Entertainment. It’ll be theatrically released by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.
Voice cast:
- Corbin Bleu as Thomas O'Malley, the Feral Orange Tabby cat
- Rose Reynolds as Duchess, Madame Adelaide's refined and elegant Turkish Angora cat and mother of three kittens
- Asher Colton Spence as Toulouse, the orange kitten who is the oldest kitten
- Pippa Blaylock as Marie, the white kitten who is the middle kitten and the only girl
- Dash McCloud as Berlioz, the black kitten who is the youngest kitten

I understand that projects like these can be subject to studio decisions, and I'm aware that the live-action remake of Snow White faced some challenges where it led to prioritization from Disney. I believe The Aristocats has a unique charm that could resonate with audiences. Honestly, I was a bit surprised to hear that Questlove have four films currently in development and won't be available until 2029 or 2030 – I would have loved to have him on board for this project by this month! He'll be sorry that he passed on this opportunity, especially with Disney undergoing major restructuring under CEO Bob Iger, prioritizing creative quality over quantity in response to criticism of the company's over-reliance on IP with sequels, spinoffs, and remakes, as well as Disney's mounting box office disappointments. If he cancels this live-action adaptation due to the reshuffling at Disney, you'll be sorry – this project has potential. Nonetheless, I'd love to discuss this project further with Questlove and see if there's any way to make it work. Don't worry about the reboot risking becoming another CGI-heavy Disney retread – he will bring it back to production by this week and let's make it happen!

The game was great until the Chiral Artist.-UNR
Playing for the first time and I've felt some awkward moments in the first couple chapters (cringe Higgs monologue, overexplaining things to Sam, weird Amelie, etc) ...Though overall I felt the story and world building was going extremely well. I was very invested and hopeful, still am. The positives outweighed the negative.
But now that I've just finished the Chiral Artist delivery quest...holy shit I've never played something this badly handled before in a AAA game. First glaring issue is how Sam doesn't say even ONE word. Not even when the characters directly address him or ask him questions...did Norman Reedus call in sick that day or what?
As everyone mentioned already the voice acting/language barrier is atrocious. They shouldve just made her character purely Japanese and used English subtitles. The confusion about their relationship was weird and the whole mission felt like a major disappointment because it's the first time I got to see a real NPC walk out of the bunker, ask to come with me, and then...goes back inside while Sam stares blankly until I go to the terminal...
but then I get to carry her on my back. Delivering a living person shouldve been an easy lay up for a solid side quest. Now my main question becomes: Is this rock bottom for Death Stranding? I'm hoping the answer is yes because I'd like to look forward to finishing DS1 and buying DS2 on PC.
Short, light hearted dreams-UNR
Sometimes I have very long, realistic dreams and other times I have short stupid ones that make no sense, usually featuring celebrities that I haven’t thought about in a long time.
These are three of them and I just think they’re kinda funny.
- Was on an old time pirate themed cruise ship and ran into frontman of the Goo Goo Dolls John Rzeznik, and I said “oh hey, I like your music!” (In real life I know maybe one song) and he said “OMG IM SO TIRED OF PEOPLE RECOGNIZING ME!”
- Once I dreamed I was sitting outside a gas station and two masked men walked up to rob the place, but one came up to my car first and lifted his mask and it was Jensen Ackles and he said “don’t ever tell anyone you saw Jensen Ackles rob this gas station!”
- I was at the top of a ski slope and was afraid to go down and Norman Reedus appeared with a snow tube and said “we can ride down together, it will be okay” and I was like “no I’m just gonna walk back down, thanks”

Deadman connection to Frankenstein (2025)-UNR
After reading the art book for Frankenstein (2025) there’s so much mention of Guillermo del Toro wanting to make the Frankenstein movie since forever. And it made me reflect on the fact that his character in Death stranding is basically Frankenstein. Do you guys think he was like “ay my old pal Hideo, that silent hill game didn’t pan out very well , but could you make my character in death stranding me but if I was Frankenstein cause I love that monster, also can you make him have a sexually charged moment with Norman reedus in the shower ;), anyway off I go to make: fish movie , something about an alley, wooden boy with Mussolini and eventually Frankenstein, thanks buddy”

Thoughts Halfway through a Rewatch-UNR
I am at pretty much at the halfway point of the series and rewatching it for the first time has been so fullfilling and interesting.
I have always loved the show but watching it all as a binge definitely improves the experience overall
Here are some observations I have had over this time (I am at Season 5, episode 4)

The Governor is the shows greatest villain, not Shane or Negan because both are anti-heroes for the majority of their runs (Alpha is second)

Rick is one of the best lead characters I can remember

The show was exceptional at introducing new characters in the first 5 seasons but struggles to do so later from what I remember

Beth's hospital storyline is the worst in the show up to this point and she should have had a greater arc

Carols arc is somehow even better on rewatch because of how realistic and perfectly paced it is

I think Tara is the most gorgeous TWD character😂

The falling over issue is as bad as we remember it

Carl as a character is actually really strong throughout the first five seasons

Andreas death was badly done but her arc with the governor and Woodberry made perfect sense because it tracked with Dale's view of the world which she agreed with in his final moments (she wanted to save everyone)

Bobs arc was absolutely perfect and he was there for the right amount of time
-
The show does a phenomenal job of hinting at the fact that Eugene is lying.

The shows biggest weakness is that it reinforces the same themes through dialogue too many times
-
Norman Reedus most elevates his character because Daryl is actually very thinly written compared to most of the main cast.

Glenn peaked early in the show and the show struggles to come up with stuff for him after that (which is why I am ok with his death, but wish just he had died instead of he and Abraham)

The show does a brilliant job of keeping you off balance because of its midseason style format and what it does with Terminus in S5

Beth and Daryl have really good chemistry but I am okay with them not having a relationship because of the age difference and Daryl's lone world nature

[TOMT] [MOVIE TRAILER] Unreleased Norman Reedus Film-UNR
I remember seeing a trailer for a movie that starred Norman Reedus during his younger era (maybe six ways to sunday era?), where he is dressed in all white and in a psych ward (rehab?) with an (imaginary?) friend. There's a specific scene where they are sitting in a white room and inhaling from a giant red helium balloon. I don't think the movie was ever released or fully made. I also remember pink pills being a visual potentially, but I could be misremembering.
