I think I understand why people hate mgsv(some spoilers)-UNR
So, after finishing the entire saga(except mgs4, rpcs3 doesn't run very well on my pc), I have got to say that metal gear solid 1 is probably the best one of them all. I played the gog port and with a few mods, it works like a charm with mouse and keyboard.
I started my playthrough with mgsv about two years ago. The reason it took me so long to finish everything is because I very rarely played the mgs games because I frequently lost track of time while playing them, which I can't afford to since I am a student. Playing through mgsv, I couldn't care less about the story. Its not really that impressive when compared to the gameplay, which is about hundred times better than the story. Only voice I recognized was troy baker as ocelot, so I was a bit surprised seeing that keifer suntherland voiced venom snake as it was not very memorable. With an actor of his calibre, you would expect a bit more(maybe his paycheck was too high and konami could only afford him saying a few lines). The best bit in the story was when venom had to kill his own soldiers because they were infected, and one of them replying,"we live and die by your orders boss" was heartbreaking. It showed how much venom suffered because of big boss.
So, after finishing mgsv. I played mgs1. The best part about it has to be the the voice acting and the cutscenes. David hayter killed it. I also liked jennifer hale's voice acting too. naomi sounded like she was an anglo south african and it fit her character well. But david hayter was the star. His voice sounded so good coming out of solid snake's mouth. The only downside I had playing the gog port was that the psycho mantis boss fight was pretty easy as he couldn't read my memory card. But it didn't kill the experience for me. Its about 20+ years old and it is still the most cinematic game I have ever played. mgs2 was pretty good too, especially the twist, but mgs1 is by far my favorite one. mgs3's boss fights and jungle setting was amazing. And in all of those 3 games, david hayter excelled.
So after(almost) finishing solid snake's and big boss's saga, I played mgsv a couple of weeks later because its really fun to goof around in that game. And I noticed just how mediocre the voice acting and story in mgsv was compared to the other titles. It feels like kojima got so obsessed with making the entire game like a film that he forgot to add an actual in depth story. Most of the missions are pretty similar in mgsv(its still fun tho). Hearing keifer suntherland as snake just didn't feel right after playing the other games. David hayter was snake. Kojima changed what snake was just to get a hollywood actor play snake? I didn't believe it at first. Seeing how detailed everything was in mgs1, mgs2 and mgs3 I was sure that kojima himself must've cast david to play snake. I thought kojima had absolute control over everything in that game because his name was on the game. So why would he fire the guy who he worked with for almost 20 years? Sure he loved movies, but he was a game designer at heart. Would he really recast a beloved character just so he could have hollywood actors as his friends? I really did not believe all this at all.
So after digging deep and seeing a few interviews of david hayter, I found out how he was booted off mgsv like nothing. Kojima didn't even meet the guy and I don't think he ever posted a single photo with him(the guy who was hugely responsible for mgs's popularity) like he does with his hollywood buddies. I am from a third world country and the only reason I got into metal gear was because I saw videos of david goofing around as snake. Kojima may have been the one who held the boat together, but it was because of david that mgs was, and still is, so popular. It just felt like kojima desperately tried to ignore what got him to where he is, just so he could be friends with high profile actors and directors. And before people say how venom snake is a different person so it made sense to have someone else voice him, the japanese va was the same. The one who voiced solid snake and big boss, voiced venom snake. Something similar happened with death stranding. The gameplay and concept is awesome but there are just too many actors. When you have too many a-list actors, you stop seeing the characters and start seeing them. When you look at norman reedus, daryl dixon is guaranteed to pop up in your mind. The plot in that game isn't coherent and the dialogues are awful. Its like they were just straight up translated from japanese instead of being localized.
Coming back to what I was talking about, it just feels like kojima's ego is a little too high. Now, I have no problem with him putting his name on the game but I do have a problem with him hogging all the praise. There are lots of other talented game designers and writers like ken levine. He wrote and directed bioshock 1, which is one of the most well written pieces of media I have come across. Every line from every single character adds something to the world of rapture. But he didn't hog all the praise. When playing bioshock, people think "irrational games did a great job" when playing a mgs title however, you have in-game characters themselves proclaiming how kojima is a god, plus you think "kojima did everything".
Now even after saying all this, I have played almost all of kojima's games that are playable on modern systems. That man is a genius, no doubt. But it feels like he is more obsessed with building his image among hollywood stars instead of building his relations with people who actually know and care about the stuff he has done. I recently watched his documentary on disney+, and it mainly consists of actors who just keep praising kojima instead of giving an insight of how he is. Instead of the actors, maybe it would've made more sense if more game developers and people who have previously worked with kojima gave interviews. There is a great documentary about when the beatles came to usa in 1964, which consists mostly of people who were there to see them play and were actual fans of them. The team found out fans from photos and interviewed them which gave an insight on how big of a deal beatles was back in the 60s. They didn't just bring actors who knew the beatles to give interviews. They brought actual people who cared.
Now, I am just a smooth brain from a third world country, but these are my thoughts. Thank you if you read through my entire post. I hope you have a nice day.
tldr; kojima should not have treated david hayter with so little respect. That man at least deserved a thank you note or some kind of tribute instead of just being kicked out of mgsv. This is what, i believe, pissed people off and became one of the main reasons of their hatred towards mgsv.

Thoughts on people who wanted DS to be another Metal Gear game.-UNR
I was recently watching a streamer (willneff) and somehow the topic got on Death Stranding. Apparently he's one of those "I was there from day 1. Metal Gear Solid changed my life" types and he went into Death Stranding expecting it to be another Metal Gear game. He was sorely disappointed and "heartbroken" to find out that it wasn't. (He also mentioned how Kojima apparently was supposed to meet up with him and some other streamers in Japan, but he had to bail for some reason). So he's probably butthurt about that and took it personally.
He then proceeds to go on a rant where he compares every aspect of the game to Metal Gear Solid. Norman Reedus is nothing like Solid Snake because he grumbles, the acting is flat and he doesn't say much. The BB concept is stupid. It's a walking simulator. Blah blah blah.
Fans in the chat were mentioning how they like the game and his response was basically, "If you like it, fine. BUT you're in the minority". Really? It didn't get the same amount of love as Metal Gear games but it still has a large enough fanbase. They wouldn't bother making a 2nd game if there wasn't.
It's okay to be passionate and have an opinion but he is overly opinionated and talks as if its fact and he knows better than everyone else. Not a fan of when he gets on his high horse and talks like whatever he says is the gospel. It just comes off as very smug, snobby and entitled.
I just can't stand when MG fans cry about DS not being like Kojima's previous games. He has been making those games for longer than most of us here have been alive. Give him a break for trying something different for a change. There's so many MG games out there. Go play those instead.

Love motorcycles/bikes but just don't know how to get started-UNR
This requires a bit of context to know how my unique circumstances factor into this but I'll try my best keep it brief. I don't know how accepting this community is so I'm just gonna shoot from the hip and hope all goes well.
So I'm a 20 yr old Male who has a license and I think motorbikes are just the coolest thing and I've always wanted to learn how to ride one since I burnt my shins on the exhaust as a kid and don't want to live a life where I've never tried it. It's a modern thoroughbred and the media hasn't done anything to die this interest down. I was watching the bikriders and ride with norman reedus and bike culture is glorified as this lifestyle which I want to try my hand at.
On the other hand, I have a terrible anxiety when it comes to driving cars and being on the road in general. I'm a capable driver in the sense that I can get to and from where I need to go whether that be work, picking up people or dropping off people all while staying out of trouble. But staying on the road just instils me with fear, I'm not confident in driving next to trucks or heavy vehicles. I'm always just thinking of mistakes I can make, where things can go wrong or if another driver is gonna honk at me for waiting for gaps or doing this or that. I find it fun when the roads are empty and I can just cruise but with cars I'm fully aware that I'm in something which can do some real damage. I also know that motorbikes have a higher learning curve and there's a lot more to be aware of.
You constantly hear of road accidents caused by careless mistakes, major crashes and stupid drivers killing other innocent drivers and pedestrians. And then with motorbikes I hear that it's even more dangerous, sure you have more mobility and vision but you're travelling alongside tanks and you yourself aren't well protected aside from the helmets and kevlar. I think the only way I can experience this interest is with dirt biking, sand biking, biking along empty stretches of roads or moving to a remote town with less traffic. Is there advice, criticism or anything that you guys can give me while I stand at this crossroads (pun unintended)?

NEW | Behind-The-Scenes of Norman Reedus & Alexandra Masangkay filming for episode 306.-UNR
Just discovered Z*******-UNR
Adam is an interesting antagonist, but not in the way the writers think [Hazbin Hotel]-UNR
So right off the bat I just wanna say: I don't like Adam. In fact he's one of my least favorite characters in Hazbin Hotel. He's obnoxious, he's not funny, his songs are unimpressive, his black and white morality isn't interesting and lacks any nuance to his character, I find his relationship with Lute more confusing than interesting and I hate his design, both human and his costume. But man. is he fascinating.
Adam is such an interesting character to me because he feels like the first time Vivziepop has completely failed at making a villain that audiences could enjoy but also see as in the wrong/irredeemable. It's really no secret that one of the most common complaints about Vivziepop's villains is that a lot of them are just empty hate sinks with no nuance to them. Striker was the closest to an actually grey antagonist but I guess losing Norman Reedus meant they had to go back to constantly humiliating their villains.
But Adam feels like an exception to this. I've seen people who both love and hate this show view Adam as some sort of misunderstood hero, because no amount of misogynistic dialogue and screaming about how he loves killing sinners because its fun changes the fact that morally... what is Adam doing wrong really? And I'm not saying this as a pro-genocide stance, I do agree with the show that Adam killing random sinners and refusing to believe in their redemption is terrible, it's just that this is how the show itself handles bad people. A group of sharks try to gangrape Angel Dust? They're gunned down. Charlie finds out that Valentino is an abusive monster? She looks ready to kill him. Dealing with the angels? Instead of trying to handle them peacefully, they're all gunned down and murdered. Adam himself has an embarrassing death (and a completely out of place emotional goodbye to Lute).
And I was genuinely surprised by the amount of people that didn't register that Adam was a misogynist. sure he didnt scream "i hate women they're all inferior" 24/7 but the only time he talks about women is to either hypersexualize him or degrade him. I've seen people insist Adam naming the female angels after genitalia was "empowering" for women because he thinks vaginas are the best thing ever. Y'all, he's saying that because he views women as holes to fuck, that's literally half his dialogue.
But it's another thing the audience overlooks because once again, its not like the protagonists/writing is much better. a lot of the female cast is notoriously badly written, Angel Dust makes a few sexist remarks and its viewed as an endearing character quirk (Blitzo, who's also a main protagonist and from the spin off show Helluva Boss, mostly refers to women as their genitals to degrade them), Valentino viciously beating Velvette's female models is passed off as a joke and most bizarrely, Lucifer randomly tells Adam that he had sex with Eve to piss him off, which I don't think the writers realize is the exact same kind of behavior that Adam would display (but its okay because Lucifer is the good guy).
Initially it bothered me that people were so overly sympathetic to Adam, saying he lost his two wives and thats why he hates women, as if the show didnt immediately establish that he was already sexist and controlling even before both of his wives left him, but i do sort of get it now. This show bends backwards to frame terrible characters as completely innocent or downplay their actions (Again, what exactly is different about Charlie murdering Angels and Adam murdering Sinners other than what the show determines as morally good). I feel like this is a massive consequence of the writers refusing to engage with these characters. Like yeah, when you portray a majority of sinners as serial killers and rapists, of course people are going to agree with Adam. And when you write Adam in such a way that the audience immediately picks up on the fact that he's more like a moral strawman than a character, of course they're going to defend him.

I don't think Daryl ever loved Isabelle.-UNR
Yes,they randomly kissed, but on his part, it seems it was just that, an experiment kiss. ~"I thought it was an experiment, It was: 'What is this?' It wasn't a This is it! don't think there was an intention to get to second base. I thought it was more of scarily parting these curtains to look at the idea of it."~ Norman Reedus said.
'Je t'aime" Isabelle told him,and he was like:thanks? Then Laurent told him that Isabelle loved him,and he didn't answer. Then again,Carol then told him he loved her and... silence again. It's obvious that he really cared about her but I personally don't think that he ever got to really fall hard for and love her. Even the days after her death (he was sad the first few hours ,obviously, lol) he seemed to act almost as if nothing had happened. I don't know...that 2 episode relationship was very random, strange and cringe. Maybe next season he'll find another random woman to have a 2 episode relationship in Spain!
What do you guys think?
