Seems like a lot of stuff for important players in a series that will essentially act as the main continuation for TWD.

Which is OK! Ladies and Gentleman -- That is absolutely OK.
But, people are desperately craving Bloodborne 2 or another Dark Souls.
So that brings me to an obvious question that many of us have, after spending time with Elden Ring: Why does this game exist when there is DS and BB?
To be fair, I was not a fan of the open world concept from the very beginning. For obvious reasons:
As always, from someone who thinks Bloodborne is the greatest game of all time followed by Dark Souls: At the end of the day we don't want new stuff. Let's be honest, nobody needs anything new. Or innovative. When the core recipe worked like a charm.
To me, Elden Ring is just that. I do have fun with it. But again, just like with Sekiro, it could have been more. It feels like it stops itself from being more.
Also, nobody cares for George R.R. Martin. Just like nobody cares for Norman Reedus in Death Stranding. We don't care for famous names in games.
What we do care about, are good games.
Which Elden Ring clearly is! But now get it on with Bloodborne or Dark Souls will ya.

i'm really just wondering because i just finished the game and it was brilliant. took me 70 hours. cried like a bitch during that last sequence with cliff and the whole lou scene at the end. after this emotional experience i ended looking up content for it on youtube just to see other peoples reactions and stuff, and it's all pretty lacking. the content that is there has lower views that i expected. i had no expectations starting the game and knew nothing about it, but as i was playing i was under the impression that the game must have been a hit, i mean how couldn't it? but when i looked up old questions and topics on forums its mostly full of people just trashing the game for being slow paced. then i saw something about a sequel is in development according to norman reedus, and it got me wondering if its even possible if the game didn't do well.

I say "lately" like this isn't the first episode in months but you know what I mean. I've noticed it in previous episodes but it's seeming more obvious.
I kind of feel bad because I love Daryl and I'm such a fan of Norman Reedus but I don't like the way Daryl's character has been going for a while. It's this weird mix that's as if they don't really know what to do with him anymore, yet anything goes. I know he's grown a lot but nothing with Leah after they met up again, or after he was taken captive (yet again) felt like Daryl. Idk how to put it. And now with next week's preview (AMC+ people please don't give me spoilers, I'm not talking about wtf has happened since 11x09, that's the one I'm on) he's wearing the Stormtrooper armor...maybe I'm putting the cart before the horse since I haven't seen it but I just can't imagine what he would be doing that for that would make sense to his character. Idk, I just don't like this. Daryl was never meant to be a leader and it seems like that's where it's been going.

My memory is fuzzy, but is the Carol and Daryl spinoff actually confirmed, like this is 100% something that's going to happen? Or was it just an idea that was thrown out there as a future project after TWD? Some of Norman Reedus' activity on social media makes me wonder; he's gonna be a co-creator on what sounds like a pretty big Jim Henson puppet project and shared a scrapbook full of stuff from filming TWD and said how much he's gonna miss it. And of course a spinoff isn't the same thing but I've been confused about this from the get go since Daryl and Carol are the last major main characters left and most of the focus has been on them already anyway.
I'm sorry but I'm starting to become one of those conspiracy theorists...is this all (the Rick movie trilogy and spinoff news) like a diversion so they can kill off Carol and/or Daryl in the final season and have Rick return, and no one will expect it? The spinoff definitely hasn't garnered much excitement and even got some negative backlash from fans when it was announced. We all know that TWD has unfortunately only still been losing steam. From what I understand, Tales is definitely gonna come out first so I'm wondering if how well that does will determine whether the spinoff gets greenlit or not. I was torn on it at first too but I do hope it happens, I'm gonna miss them and TWD in general.

Pretty much as the title says. In my opinion many actors which are popular are because of their charisma, not their talent. Now i know that if an actor has talent is very much dependend on ones own opinion, so feel free to disagree but don't get your torches because i dislike the acting capabilities of your favourite actor.
Here are some of my examples.
Now although i probably lost you already hear me out. Keanu Reeves is a awesome guy, you only hear positive storys of people who worked with him so obviously that makes him sympathetic i get that. However just because he has a great personality doesn't mean he is a good actor. I have seen John Wick and played Cyberpunk and the latter made me think because i honestly didn't like his performance as Johnny Silverhand. Then i saw John Whick again and thats when i realized that Keanu only works when he can play the "stoic guy with the dark backstory who doesn't talk much" character, anything else and he falls flat in my opinion.
Again a cool guy that much is obvious, but just like Keanu he just works if he is given a role where he can be the badass who doesn't talk much, anything else and he isn't really a stand out.
Yes he is a cool guy as well, but he is the epidome of the marketable face, where you can put him with any other well liked star and the movies are likely to be sucessfull.
These are just some examples there are more, but i feel like the post is already long enough.
And once again feel free to disagree, but in a civil way and not the reddit hivemind way. Also excuse any grammatical flaws, because english is not my native language.

The main problem people have is exactly this. We're so used to immediate pay off in everything we do, games included.
I've had friends tell me if a game doesn't hook them in 15 minutes, they're done. It takes hours to get into this game. Patience is truly a virtue. This game has a very long prologue which also acts as a tutorial of sorts.
The story is weird but really can make you think. The gameplay is fun...more than a walking simulator. It can creep you out, make you care, make you cringe.
To be honest, you have to persevere through some not so good things to find the gem underneath. There are fails in the game, ultra long cutscene narratives and other things that I've never wanted to see in a game...involving grenades made from bodily excretions.
There are a lot of repetitive NPC dialogues and inconsistent ways to skip these things.
The game is a fetch quest but with true consequences. Your inventory matters unlike some games where you can carry a ton of stuff that is never visible and may at worst slow you down.
Online play is amazing. You never see other players but you experience their impact and this is a lot of fun.

from someone who had no concept of what this game was when i purchased it, did not watch any previews or videos before buying it (only glanced a few reviews online) and only bought it because it had norman reedus in it, my first impression right from the start was: THIS GAME IS WEIRD. very, very weird. and, yes, it is true what others have said. this game starts off on the slow side. extremely slow. i almost called it quits and even felt sleepy at times in the beginning during some of the long cutscenes. but the graphics are amazing and the game slowly reeled me in as i began to understand how to play. the story picks after a while and i found myself wanting to see what happens. and even though some of it seemed repetitive i strangely kept coming back for more. maybe because i do not like to give up so easily. although i considered it many times throughout the game honestly.
one thing that really surprised me was discovering this is an open world type of game. it's also worth noting this game is like a marathon. it’s not a quick 15 hour play and finish. it took me just under 60 hours, and that was without doing the side missions. only a small handful as they consume lots of time just as the regular missions do.
this game seemed like it would never end at times. i understand why there are many negative reviews about it. it's not for everyone. it has very long and complex story with some bizarre and interesting twists. i will say, however, that everyone who gave up on this game and did not finish missed out on the very long and crazy finish🤯
final thoughts: if you are looking for something different, then perhaps give this a try. for me, it’s the definition of something that is not what you may have expected it to be, but very rewarding in a way of when expectation does not meet desire. it's like one of those really long movies that's kind of boring in the beginning, even weird, and gets even weirder as it progresses, leaving you in a little bit of shock in the end.
i give it 4 stars overall for all of the time and effort put into the creation and story telling. i can tell a lot of work went into creating this one. but it's more like between 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 stars considering all of the agony i went through in the beginning to get to the twisted ending. the battle scenes kind of make up for it though lol😁
one more thing, i really liked the online connection to other players. i thought that part was pretty cool.

Should i buy Death Stranding on PS5?
I’m new to Kojima games and having only played Metal Gear Solid 5, i was wondering if it’s worth investing in the other games he’s made. I have myself a PS3 so i could buy the trilogy one day. But that’s not the point of the post right now.
So with that being said i really enjoyed the gameplay of MGS5 (besides the base building shit, i could not get into it… it seemed tedious). But i did not enjoy the story simply because i had no idea what was happening from the get go. It confused me. I still haven’t finished the game to this day, i’m about 50% through.
Death Stranding looks interesting to me simply because Norman Reedus and Mads Mikkelsen are the main characters. I heard the game is pretty much an immersive walking sim.
So to keep it short is the game worth buying? Story/gameplay wise?

Having spent years working as an actor on Thr Walking Dead, he knows how this kind of thing works. He has all of his stuff that he uses in real life, including his motorcycle, as well as whatever weapons he may keep (I’m not sure if he actually keeps a crossbow, or if he even knows how to use one in real life. Fill me in if you know) Any real life feats he is known to have will apply.
Can he survive just like Daryl did? Assume that this apocalypse and virus works the same way as The Walking Dead. He also has to keep his family safe.

Just finished rewatching season 7 episode 3 'The Cell' and wanted to give a shoutout to Norman's acting throughout the episode. His portrayal of Daryl being put through physical and mental torture by the saviors is some of his best work on the show. The subtle flinches and exhausted, hopeless expression really sold the performance for me. Some part of him wants to give in to Negan, but his guilt over Glenn makes him continue to bear, what he feels, is his punishment.
