Ok I'm years late to this topic and I already know that considering the eventual fate of PT this thread is somewhat irrelevant but am I the only one who WASN'T particularly crazy with PT or more so the changes it brought.
First off the first person approach. Now on one hand my favorite sh game is 4 so right off the bat I want to give the benefit of the doubt to kojima and admit right now that the game could split between third person and first (like 4) but If the full game was to be in first person then I wasn't a fan. To me the sh games (like re) are all about the characters (Especially in sh) to truly understand what makes these characters tick and why the town is the way it is for them we need to truly know them and having the game set completely in first person would diminish that some I feel.
Norman Reedus.
No issue with the guy personally but I think the use of a real life actor is a cop out for actually designing and writing an interesting character. Imagine if Reedus was the MC of sh2? You wouldn't be able to see James the character so much as you would Reedus the actor. It's hard to explain completely but it again somewhat detracts from the overall experience.
Kojima.
Before you call me out let me make it clear that I am a big of a metal gear fan and certainly don't doubt kojimas writing (mgs2 is a perfect example of that) but I wonder just how kojima would pull off a depressing physiological horror game? Maybe it's just me but the stars weren't aligning when I saw his name involved.
But yeah those were my thoughts on pt back when it was still a thing.
Was I the only one who was iffy on kojimas silent hill?
