So for the past couple of weeks i've been checking/scrolling through Kojima's twitter and noticed Kojima retweeting a video of Norman Reedus and Diane Kruger at the Critics Choice awards a couple of days ago.
The tweet that got retweeted by Kojima: https://twitter.com/etnow/status/951649710267248640
The reason it stood out to me so much is because of the resemblance she has to the female ludens image that got posted on New Years Eve.
The hairstyle/haircolor, jaw, figure, as well as the light eyes. http://ift.tt/2ELAwzg
(To me the female Ludens seems to have Light yellow eyes, although i could be seeing this wrong.)
And what we've seen so far from Norman, Mads, Del Toro as well as the other 2 characters we saw in the latest trailer of which the actors were recently found by members of this community,
See here and here - Were all motion captured. As for Diana Kruger resembling the Female ludens image released at New Years eve as well as the image released before that for Happy Holidays 2017 So much.
See here http://ift.tt/2FFCu5z
I think based on just looks we can all agree she could definitely fit the role.
About 1/2 hours after he retweeted that video of Norman and Diane together, he also retweeted this little statue of the female ludens https://twitter.com/sc_coude333/status/951737552075087873
(I understand this could all be coincidence.)
One day later, he retweeted another video with her in it https://twitter.com/InTheFadeFilm/status/951883009023606784
As well for one day after that, he retweeted this image of her https://twitter.com/eigacom/status/952891923601256448
Hmmm. Now that came kinda out of nowhere? Why the ''sudden'' interest for this actress Mr. Kojima?
He might be trying to steal Norman Reedus girlfriend..
(Okay, all jokes aside) What i want to say/add is, Norman Reedus and Diane Kruger have been spotted multiple times together over the past year and are reportedly in a relastionship after paparazzi took a shot if them being intimate with eachother (C'mon give the people some privacy.)
Thought that was good/interesting thing to add. I don't know if this adds anything to the possibility of her being the possible female lead. But it sure would be awesome to see chemistry like that, since those kind of things make for the best type of performances. At least, in some of the movies I've seen.
I'm also very awear Kojima retweets a lot of actors as well as actresses. So hear me out, as this is (in my opinion) about to become interesting.
Diane Kruger is from germany/speaks german. Some people have theorized that Mads character is also German (You can also hear a faint german voice/speaker when Del Toro stands before the tunnel in the 2nd Trailer).
Links to translation of the geman audio from the 2nd trailer:
She has also played in a lot of very alternative type of movies and from what i've seen of her, something like Death Stranding would really fit her style. She can play very dominant as well as sweet roles, although we have no idea ofcourse what type of role the possible female lead in Death Stranding will have as well as that we can't confirm if any of that concept art/Holiday card even actually has anything to do with the game. She's an amazing actress. (Although i think they're teases/concept art. It's still just speculative.)
Yong Yea also made a great video about those holiday cards recently so feel free to check that out if you're interested/want some more info about them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pq67hn1wuM8
Anway, what are your thoughts?
I know this is all speculative at this point but this is all i could add up from all the information we've gotten so far. To me, Diana Kruger definitly seems the most plausible for if there is going to be a female lead as of now. It also could definitely be someone who we've never even seen or heard before. Or none at all. But one of the things i like most about this game is the speculation before it's even releasing as well as The amazing community. Hope you enjoyed my theory at least a little bit. Either way, if you came this far. Thankyou for reading!
